April 15

Neighborhood Dispute, 8:58 a.m., SE Ivy Street, Mill City. Caller reported limbs left on the side of the road. Another neighbor already has plans to clean up the mess.

Dog Complaint, 9:20 a.m., Oupor Drive, Scio. Dog owner cited for dog as a public nuisance and warned for failure to license the dog.

Suspicious Person, 12:38 p.m., NE Fourth Avenue, Mill City. Extra patrol request for individual frequently walking near home.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle, 2:44 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Male, 34, of Eugene, was arrested for unauthorized use of a vehicle, attempt to elude, possession of burglary tools and burglary 1. He was lodged at Linn County Jail.

Suspicious Circumstances, 2:59 p.m., SW Beech Street, Scio. Deputy investigated suspicious circumstances and found a male’s girlfriend locked him outside of their home because he was drinking too much alcohol.

911 Hangup, 4:35 p.m., SW Beech Street, Scio. Deputy responded to 911 hangup and learned a female called but did not need anything.

Traffic Stop, 6:45 p.m., NW Alder Street/N First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Warrant, 7:49 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Male, 38, of Mill City, was cited in lieu of custody on an outstanding warrant.

Traffic Stop, 10:09 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive/Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for moving violation.

Traffic Stop, 10:18 p.m., SE Third Avenue/SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Assault, 11:22 p.m., NW Fourth Avenue, Scio. Female, 35, of Scio, was arrested for assault II – domestic.

April 16

Suspicious Circumstances, 12:38 p.m., Robinson and Jefferson-Scio drives, Scio. Deputy spoke to farmer about his sprinklers getting the road wet.

Harassment, 2:06 p.m., 14th Street, Lyons. Deputy spoke with caller regarding disgruntled, former employees.

Suicidal Subject, 2:42 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Juvenle transported to hospital for mental health treatment.

Trespass, 4:50 p.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Caller reported former employee showing up at property and causing a disturbance.

Event Detail, 4:53 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. City council work session.

Traffic Stop, 7:07 p.m., SW Third Avenue/Sw Broadway Street, Mill City. Driver cited for driving uninsured and driving while suspended.

Suspicious Person, 9:38 p.m., Shimanek Bridge Drive/Highway 226, Scio. Deputies attempted to locate a suspicious male on a bicycle.

Weapon Offense, 11:10 p.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Female, 38, of Mill City, was arrested for unlawful use of a weapon and reckless endangering.

April 17

Suspicous Vehicle, 7:26 a.m., Shoreline Drive/Fishermans Road, Lyons. Case follow-up.

Warrant, 11:19 a.m., Thomas Drive, Scio. Suspect follow-up.

Trespass, 11:19 a.m., Miller Cemetery Road, Scio. Trespass reported on property. No suspect information.

Criminal Mischief, 12:46 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Deputy investigated two broken windows on parked cars.

Counter Traffic, 4:06 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Deputy spoke to female on the phone who emailed complaint form to LCSO regarding the hitting of golf balls in city parks.

Fraud, 4:16 p.m., SW 11th Avenue, Mill City. Female was scammed on the phone and went to local stores, purchasing $3,500 in gift cards for the scammers, sending them gift card information via text messages. Suspects are believed to be from another country.

Assist Other Agency, 4:21 p.m., Gray Pine Street, Lyons. AOA located a juvenile.

Welfare Check, 6:08 p.m., W Scio Road, Scio. Deputy checked on subject.

Criminal Mischief, 11:34 p.m., 13th Street, Lyons. Deputy checked area for vehicles and was unable to locate.

April 18

Suspicious Person, 4:40 p.m., Montgomery Drive/Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Deputy checked area for suspicious people. One person was located and was asked to move along.

Theft, 8:12 a.m., S McCully Mountain Road, Lyons. Deputies attempted to contact caller regarding a theft. Person did not answer nor did they call back after repeated attempts.

Littering Violation, 8:22 a.m., E Gates Bridge, Gates. Old car tires were dumped in a ditch.

Accident, 9:58 a.m., Jefferson-Scio Drive, Scio. Unknown time or location of crash. Minor bumper damage. Caller was provided with information for insurance purposes.

Motorist Assist, 12:21 p.m., Kingston-Jordan Road, Scio. Deputies gave a stranded person a courtesy ride to a friend’s house.

Juvenile Complaint, 1:05 p.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. 

Traffic Stop, 2:18 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended violation and driving uninsured.

Suspicious Person, 4:28 p.m., SW Linn Blvd., Mill City. Deputy spoke with person walking the side of the road.

Suspicious Circumstances, 7:26 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Deput checked area for reported dog and was unable to locate.

Phone Harassment, 8:47 p.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Ongoing custody battle between parents. Documented.

April 19

Suspicious Person, 4:45 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive/Neighbors Lane, Lyons. Caller reported a group of people walking in the area at night. Deputy checked and did not locate anyone on foot.

Motorist Assist, 8:41 a.m., Zurfluh Road, Scio. Deputy assisted in getting vehicle out of mud.

Dog Complaint, 9:19 a.m., SW Dogwood Street, Scio. Dog owner cited for dog at large.

Elder Abuse, 10:21 a.m., Tuckwila Street, Lyons. Ongoing investigation surrounding possible elder abuse.

Counter Traffic, 3:21 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Deputy spoke to citizen about a tree falling through his fence.

Dog Complaint, 5:06 p.m., Rock Creek Road, Gates. Caller reported neighbor’s dog attempted to attack his small dog in his yard. Ongoing issue.

Traffic Hazard, 6:32 p.m., Stayton-Scio Road/Ridge Drive, Scio. Cows at large. Deputy was unable to locate.

Probation Violation, 7:25 p.m., Shimanek Bridge Drive, Scio. Juvenile was arrested for probation violation and transported to Linn-Benton Juvenile Detention.

Suspicious Person, 8:34 p.m., SE Willow Street, Idanha. Homeless male sleeping in car. Deputies contacted male and asked him to move along.

Traffic Complaint, 9:23 p.m., Highway 226/SE Fourth Avenue, Scio. Caller concerned about possible DUI. Caller stopped following and no plate was given. Deputy was unable to locate.

Noise Disturbance, 10:05 p.m., 13th Street, Lyons. Deputy warned residence about city noise ordinance.

Traffic Stop, 11:32 p.m., Fifth and Elm streets, Lyons. Driver warned for improper display.

April 20

Suspicious Vehicle, 12:28 a.m., Shelburn Drive, Scio. Vehicle accidentally parked on private road. Driver was asked to move along.

Traffic Stop, 12:50 a.m., SW Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for moving violation.

Traffic Stop, 1:02 a.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for 43 MPH in 25 MPH zone.

Traffic Stop, 1:27 a.m., SW Greenwood Place, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended and failing to carry proof of insurance. Driver was also given a criminal citation for failure to carry and present.

Extra Patrol, 1:50 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park. Nothing suspicious.

Suspicious Vehicle, 3:25 p.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Suspicious vehicle parked at Lyons City Hall. Male advised he was just sitting in the car to avoid arguing with his wife. Non-criminal.

Domestic Disturbance, 9:34 a.m., SE Second Avenue, Mill City. A physical altercation took place between a couple. The case will be reviewed for possible criminal charges.

Suspicious Vehicle, 9:45 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Deputies checked on a parked vehicle. There was a note in the window that the vehicle ran out of gas and the owner would be back for it soon. Vehicle was not a hazard.

Forest Timber Patrol, 10:52 a.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. 

Traffic Hazard, 11:05 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Deputy checked on vehicle parked in middle of the road. Driver stopped to look up directions and moved along.

Suspicious Vehicle, 11:09 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Deputy checked on a vehicle parked in strange location.

Found Property, 11:56 a.m., Kingston-Jordan Drive/Highway 226, Scio. A found license plate came from a motor vehicle crash at the same location approximately two weeks ago. It was picked up and returned to DMV.

Forest Timber Patrol, 4:14 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. ATV enforcement. One dirt bike rider and one quad rider checked while on OHV trail. Both rideers had ATV safety cards and OHV stickers.

Forest Timber Patrol, 4:15 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. ATV enforcement. One dirt bike and one quad rider contacted in staging area, not riding. Neither person had OHV stickers or ATV safety cards. They were advised of Oregon’s laws requiring both to operate OHV’s on public land.

Forest Timber Patrol, 4:18 p.m., Camp Morrision Drive, Scio.

Probation Violation, 7:03 p.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Juvenile was arrested on a probation violatin and transported to juvenile detention.

Suspicious Vehicle, 7:33 p.m., E Gates Bridge/Green Mountian Road, Gates. Broken down car in the woods. Deputy located owner who advised he will remove it the next day.

Illegal Camping, 9:20 p.m., Highway 22, Gates. Campers associated with broken down car. Deputy worked things out with the group.

Extra Patrol, 10:26 p.m., Cedar Mill Road, Lyons. Cedar Mill Road. Nothing suspicious located.

April 21

Runaway, 1:05 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Caller reported his juvenile child had run away. Deputies were able to locate and return them home.

Noise Disturbance, 2:13 a.m., SE Hazel Street/SE Second Avenue, Mill City. Male was yelling at runaway juvenile to go home.

Accident, 9:15 a.m., S Ruby Loop, Scio. Crash on narrow, one-lane road due to obstructed view. One person transported to hospital via personally-owned vehicle.

Traffic Stop, 11:12 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver warned for speed.

Welfare Check, 12:37 p.m., SW Second Avenue, Mill City. Everyone was safe.

Warrant, 7:04 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Female, 30, of Mill City, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and lodged at Linn County Jail.

Park Patrol, 9:30 p.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Roaring River Park. Nothing suspicious.

Traffic Stop, 9:59 p.m., Main and 10th streets, Lyons. Driver cited for 50 MPH in 35 MPH zone.

Park Patrol, 10:04 p.m., Hess Road, Scio. Hess Boat Ramp. Nothing to report.
