Traffic Stop, 8:29 a.m., Thomas Creek Drive/Echo Hill Road, Scio. Driver warned for expired registration.

Traffic Stop, 8:46 a.m., Fifth and Elm streets, Lyons. Driver warned for no front license plate.

Extra Patrol, 9:09 a.m., Main Street, Lyons. Traffic enforcement.

Extra Patrol, 9:27 a.m., Neal Park Road, Lyons. Patrol at John Neal County Park. 

Traffic Stop, 9:42 a.m., Main and 18th streets, Lyons. Driver cited for operating a vehicle without driving privileges.

Traffic Stop, 9:44 a.m., Main and 13th streets, Lyons. Driver pulled over for having expired registration tags on rear of vehicle. Driver had not received tags in the mail yet.

Traffic Stop, 9:48 a.m., Main and 18th streets, Lyons. Driver warned for no front license plate.

Suspicious Vehicle, 11:44 a.m., Apple Loop, Lyons. Deputies investigated.

Dog Complaint, 2:10 p.m., Tukwila Street, Lyons.

Extra Patrol, 2:38 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City.

Warrant, 3:21 p.m., Mt. Hope Drive, Lebanon. Male, 23, of Scio was issued a citation in lieu of custody for two counts of sex abuse III and two counts of contributing to sexual delinquency of a minor.

Domestic Disturbance, 10:26 p.m., SW Fourth Avenue, Scio. Male, 24, of Scio was arrested for Assault IV and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. He was lodged at Linn County Jail.

Jan. 18

Dog Complaint, 3:05 a.m., SW Cedar Street, Mill City.

Traffic Complaint, 8:42 a.m., W Main and Fifth streets, Lyons. Deputy spoke with a caller in regards to a traffic issue.

Traffic Stop, 11:16 a.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Probation Violation, 12:30 p.m., Deford Street, Mill City. Female, 28, of Mill City was arrested for Probation Violation and booked on her charges at Linn County Jail.

Trespass, 3:44 p.m., SW Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputies spoke to a resident of Mill City regarding suspicious female in the area.

Search and Rescue, 3:47 p.m., Highway 22, Idanha. Male stranded in snow in a remote area. Deputy responded to assist.

Assist Other Agency, 7:16 p.m., Rodgers Mountain Loop, Scio. Deputies assisted in securing the property during a search warrant.

Trespass, 8:07 p.m., Meridian Road, Scio. Trespassers left property.

Extra Patrol, 10:04 p.m., Neal Park Road, Lyons. Park patrol of Freres City Park. 

Extra Patrol, 10:46 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Park patrol of Kimmel Park. 

Jan. 19

Traffic Stop, 12:48 a.m., SW Tuers Lane/SW Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for moving violation.

Traffic Stop, 4:25 a.m., SE Kingwood and SE Fourth avenues, Mill City. Driver cited for 43 MPH in 25 MPH zone.

Warrant, 8:26 a.m., SE Fourth and SE Kingwood avenues, Mill City. Female, 46, was arrested for State Parole warrants and booked on her charges at Linn County Jail.

Dog Complaint, 10:44 a.m., SW Third Avenue, Mill City.

Suspicious Circumstance, 12:05 p.m., SW Spring Street, Mill City. Deputies documented a possible mental health-related circumstance.

Traffic Complaint, 3:56 p.m., NE Ash Street/NE Fourth Avenue, Scio. Deputy responded to a traffic complaint and contacted several parties involved.

Possible DUII, 5:53 p.m., Shelburn Drive/Miller Cemetery Road, Scio. Deputies unable to locate possible DUII.

Warrant, 8:31 p.m., Cold Springs Road, Lebanon. Male, 42, of Scio arrested and lodged at Linn County Jail for several outstanding warrants out of multiple courts.

Ingestion Poisoning, 9:58 p.m., Crabtree Drive, Scio. Deputies assisted Scio medics with accidental overdose. Patient went with family to hospital.

Parking Complaint, 10:13 p.m., 13th Street, Lyons. Vehicle left prior to deputies’ arrival.

Extra Patrol, 11:42 p.m., Neal Park Road, Lyons. Park patrol of Freres City Park.

Jan. 20

Suspicious Vehicle, 12:08 a.m., Crabtree Drive, Scio. Disturbance. Parties separated for the night.

Warrant, 5:23 a.m., Substation and Kingston-Lyons drives, Stayton. Male, 40, of Dexter was lodged at Linn County Jail for an Oregon State Police Board warrant.

Welfare Check, 10:25 a.m., SE Cedar Avenue, Idanha. Out-of-state resident called in a welfare check.

Traffic Stop, 10:36 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Driver cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured.

Theft, 10:59 a.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Patrolled Weyerhaeuser property. Found an ax and fire extinguisher stolen from a logging site.

Dog Complaint, 11:30 a.m., Oupor Drive, Scio.

Suspicious Vehicle, 2:44 p.m., Gilkey Road, Scio. Deputies investigated.

Littering Violation, 3:45 p.m., Rock Creek Road, Gates. An illegal camp was left behind in Santiam State Forest. A fair amount of spoiled food and propane bottles were left behind. No suspects.

Traffic Hazard, 9:47 p.m., Jefferson-Scio Drive, Scio. Deputy checked on motorist who was refueling after running out of fuel.

Jan. 21

Park Patrol, 6:33 a.m., Meridian Road, Scio. Park was empty.

Disturbance, 7:07 a.m., SE Cedar Avenue, Idahna. Incident is under investigation.

Burglary, 9:46 a.m., W Main Street, Lyons. Approximately $15,000 of items were taken. Under investigation.

Accident, 12:30 p.m., Stayton-Scio Road, Scio. Hay bales fell off trailer and struck a parked vehicle. Information was exchanged.

Accident, 1:57 p.m., Shimanek Bridge Drive, Scio. Non-injury.

Jan. 22

Traffic Stop, 7:02 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Truck and trailer with no tail lights. Operator was pulling into his destination at time of stop. He advised he lost dash lights as well and would fix the issue before leaving. Driver warned for no tail lights.

Suspicious Vehicle, 8:02 a.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio.

Abandoned Vehicle, 12:20 p.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputies gave information on an abandoned vehicle on private property.

Juvenile Complaint, 1:46 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Deputy took a statement from driver of a car believing they saw some teenage boys fighting.

Extra Patrol, 3:03 p.m., Crabtree Drive, Scio. Request for extra patrol at a residence.

Jan. 23

Animal Complaint, 7:57 a.m., Gilkey Road, Scio. Deputies responded to a traffic hazard involving horses on the road. Horses returned to their pasture prior to deputies’ arrival.

Juvenile Complaint, 10:10 a.m., NW Beech Street, Scio. Deputy checked on welfare of juvenile.

Traffic Stop, 11:26 a.m., N First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to maintain lane.

911 Hang-up, 11:33 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Accidental.

Traffic Stop, 12:28 p.m., Highway 22, Mill City. Driver warned for no license plates.

Police Officer Hold, 8:24 p.m., Stayton-Scio Loop, Scio. Juvenile intentionally overdosed on prescription medication. Juvenile was transported to Salem Hospital, where they were placed on a Police Officer Hold.

Warrant, 11:46 p.m., Neal Park Road, Lyons. Male, 46, of Terrabonne was lodged at Linn County Jail on a Marion County Circuit Court warrant.
