April 7

Suspicious Vehicle, 12:34 a.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Three suspicious vehicles in store parking lot after hours. All vehicles were unoccupied.

Suspicious Vehicle, 1:33 a.m., Gates School Road, Gates. Deputies located suspicious vehicle. Vehicle was unoccupied.

Suspicious Person, 2:30 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Deputy provided male with a courtesy ride.

Extra Patrol, 3:35 a.m., N Main Street, Scio. Deputy checked on local businesses. All appeared secure.

Lost Property, 12:32 p.m., Gray Pine Street, Lyons. Deputy took report of a missing firearm.

Elude, 5:15 p.m., Dogwood and 13th streets, Lyons. Deputy attempted traffic stop on a vehicle associated with stolen property. Vehicle eluded deputies. Ongoing investigation.

Disturbance, 5:32 p.m., Thomas Drive, Scio. Suspect of another investigation was reported to be at the location but it was determined they were not.

Suspicious Circumstances, 5:49 p.m., SW Second Avenue, Scio. Deputy mediated between ex-family members regarding unwanted contact.

911 Hang-up, 6:51 p.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. 911 text was sent as a prank. Parent is dealing with the situation.

Trespass, 9:43 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Mill City. Deputies investigated single-vehicle, single-occupant crash. There were no injuries and property damage was limited to the vehicle and about 75 feet of chain link fence.

Trespass, 11:46 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Caller saw three trespassers in her backyard. Deputies arrived within minutes and were unable to locate.

April 8

Suspicious Vehicle, 3:32 a.m., Neal Park Road, Lyons. Male was advised of park rules.

Warrant, 5:50 a.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Male, 47, of Mill City was cited in lieu of custody for an outstanding warrant.

Civil Dispute, 7:12 a.m., Crabtree Drive, Scio. Landlord seeking person trespassed without full eviction completed.

Dog Complaint, 11:57 a.m., W McCully Mountain Drive, Lyons. Deputy attempted to contact the owner of a dog reportedly running loose in the McCully Mountain area.

Traffic Stop, 4:01 p.m., NW First Avenue, Scio. Driver warned for improper display.

Juvenile Complaint, 4:27 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Report of children firing BB guns at caller’s property. Parents were contacted and informed.

UUMV, 7:36 p.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Deputies responded to an unauthorized use of motor vehicle call.

Juvenile Complaint, 9:15 p.m., SW Second AVenue/SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Deputies responded but found no juveniles or issues. 

Noise Disturbance, 9:47 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Deputy responded but located no noise issues.

Warrant, 10:34 p.m., Thomas Drive, Scio. Male was not at the house.

April 9

Suspicious Vehicle, 1 a.m., 10th Street, Lyons. Deputy checked on suspicious vehicle.

Event Detail, 7:49 a.m., N Main Street, Scio. Deputies assisted with career hiring event.

Civil Dispute, 12:48 p.m., Juniper Street, Lyons. Caller had questions about a civil issue with a fence and their neighbor.

Forest Timber Patrol, 2:11 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Several people out hiking and enjoying the weather. One person looking for a lost dog.

Traffic Stop, 2:32 p.m., Mehama-Lyons Highway, Lyons. Driver cited for driving while suspended and driving without insurance.

Suspicious Vehicle, 2:45 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Parked vehicle with no one around at rock pit.

Welfare Check, 2:49 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Caller concerned about a neighbor whom they hadn’t seen in a few days. Neighbor was okay.

Warrant, 3:09 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Male was arrested for driving with a criminally revoked driver’s license and four separate warrants. He was lodged at Linn County Jail.

Suspicious Vehicle, 4:26 p.m., Seventh and Birch streets, Lyons. Caller reported a suspicious vehicle that was gone later when caller returned to the area prior to deputy arrival.

Phone Harassment, 5:23 p.m., SW Seventh Avenue, Mill City. Caller reported person made threatening statements over the phone. This did not meet the statutory requirements for menacing. Caller was advised of his options and to call back if this continued.

Violation of Order, 5:44 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputy investigated a probation violation.

Event Detail, 6:15 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. City council meeting.

Traffic Complaint, 7:43 p.m., SE Church and SE Willow streets, Idanha. Deputy was unable to locate a dirt bike speeding on the road.

April 10

Traffic Stop, 4:21 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver warned for inoperable lighting, front and rear.

Extra Patrol, 10:48 a.m., Eighth Street, Lyons. Speed enforcement along Main Street. No violations observed.

Traffic Stop, 11:28 a.m., Freeman Road/Highway 226, Scio. Driver cited for violating posted speed limit.

Traffic Stop, 2:36 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Driver cited for driving with suspended license.

Suspicious Circumstances, 5:15 p.m., 14th Street, Lyons. Caller reported possibly seeing stolen ATVs. Deputy searched area and was unable to locate.

April 11

Dog Complaint, 1:12 a.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Caller reported hitting a neighbor’s dog. Caller and dog owner came to a civil agreement and only wanted information documented.

Traffic Stop, 5:04 a.m., NW Seventh Avenue/NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for expired tags.

UEMV, 8:53 a.m., Ironwood Street, Lyons. Deputy investigated unlawful entry of motor vehicle.

Suspicious Circumstances, 9:04 a.m., SW Spring Street, Mill City. Deputy responded and asked the owner of a vehicle to remove it from the caller’s private property.

Theft, 10:43 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Deputy responded and female did not want to report anything as stolen.

Warrant, 4:59 p.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Male, of Mill City, was cited in lieu of custody on an outstanding warrant.

Domestic Disturbance, 6:01 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Juvenile male struck his grandmother multiple times. He was taken into custody and transported to Linn County Juvenile Detention Center.

Suspicious Vehicle, 7:25 p.m., Hungry Hill Drive, Scio. Caller reported a vehicle parked in front of their driveway. Vehicle owner was contacted and driver advised they were looking for turkeys. Caller informed the driver he was not welcome on their property.

April 12

Park Patrol, 1:26 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park. 

Civil Dispute, 3:39 a.m., Fir Ridge Road, Scio. Caller reported his girlfriend had taken his car as well as several other items he had left in the car. Civil only at this time.

Domestic Disturbance, 8:36 a.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Female, 35, of Mill City, was arrested on a warrant.

Juvenile Complaint, 9:41 a.m., Highway 226, Lyons. Neighborhood Disagreement. Non-criminal.

Narcotics Offense, 9:45 a.m., 14th Street, Lyons. Deputies lodged a piece of contraband found in a vehicle as evidence.

Juvenile Complaint, 3:15 p.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Juvenile complaint forwarded to DHS.

Suspicious Circumstances, 4:07 p.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Deputy was flagged down and asked questions about a restraining order.

Trespass, 4:29 p.m., Shilling Drive, Scio. Female, 47, of Scio, was arrested at her residence for two outstanding warrants and lodged at Linn County Jail.

Dog Complaint, 6:23 p.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Dog got out of yard.

Assist Other Agency, 10:31 p.m., NW Alder Street, Scio. Deputies responded and attempted to locate male wanted by another law enforcement agency. 

April 13

Criminal Mischief, 1:59 a.m., SW Douglas Avenue, Mill City. Extra patrol due to juveniles aggressively knocking on doors.

Suspicious Person, 3:09 a.m., N First Avenue, Mill City. Two adult females out past park hours.

Suspicious Vehicle, 4:06 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Male sleeping car. He was told to move along.

Traffic Stop, 8:27 a.m., NE Ash Street, Scio. Driver warned for failure to register vehicle.

Noise Disturbance, 10:17 a.m., 13th Street, Lyons. Deputy attempted to contact caller regarding a noise complaint without success.

Extra Patrol, 10:34 a.m., SW Fourth Avenue/SW Alder Street, Scio. Deputy conducted extra patrol at intersection per resident’s request.

Traffic Stop, 12:12 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver warned for failure to obey traffic control device.

Violation of Order, 12:20 p.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Deputy investigated violation of restraining order.

Traffic Stop, 2:32 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Driver cited for 11-20 MPH over posted speed limit.

Suspicious Vehicle, 7:23 p.m., Shilling Drive, Scio. Deputy checked location for wanted person.

Criminal Mischief, 10:03 p.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Caller reported someone came to their door and kicked it in and left. Deputy checked area and did not locate the male.

April 14

Traffic Stop, 9:06 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for improper display.

Suspicious Circumstances, 9:18 a.m., Shilling Drive, Scio. Welfare check of female. She was found doing well.

Counter Traffic, 11:50 a.m., S Ruby Loop, Scio. Deputy investigated possible harassment.

Trespass, 2:25 p.m., Shilling Drive, Scio. Deputies attempted to locate a potential trespasser.

Suspicious Vehicle, 3:04 p.m., Hess Road, Scio. Deputy checked on suspicious vehicle.

Illegal Camping, 3:21 p.m., Kingwood Avenue/Dogwood Road, Mill City. Caller reported illegal campers. Deputies were unable to locate.

Minor in Possession, 3:24 p.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputy answered caller’s questions about MIPs and furnishing alcohol to a minor.

Hit and Run, 4:09 p.m., NE Ash Street, Scio. 

Traffic Stop, 4:55 p.m., SW Sixth Avenue, Scio. Driver cited for driving while suspended violation and warned for other traffic violations.

Shots Heard, 8:50 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive/Highway 226, Scio. Caller reported people shooting in the area.

Assist Other Agency, 7:05 p.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. AOA for Marion County.

Traffic Stop, 10:22 p.m., N First Avenue/NW Alder Street, Mill City. Driver cited for 58 MPH in 40 MPH zone.

Traffic Stop, 10:36 p.m., N First Avenue/Nw Alder Street, Mill City. Driver warned for moving violation.

Traffic Stop, 10:44 p.m., NE Santiam Blvd./NE Alder Street, Mill City. Driver cited for failure to drive within lane and driving while suspended violation.
