Welfare Check, 8:11 a.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. All were well.

Welfare Check, 8:19 a.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Deputies checked on child who keeps missing school.

Suspicious Vehicle, 8:50 a.m., Ridge Drive, Scio. Deputy checked the area for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

Forest Timber Patrol, 9:11 a.m., Cedar Mill Road, Lyons.

Park Patrol, 11:31 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park. Nothing criminal to report.

Juvenile Complaint, 11:39 a.m., SW Spring Street, Mill City. Upset child left home then returned a short while later.

Extra Patrol, 12:56 p.m., Scio. No dog violations observed by deputy.

Suspicious Vehicle, 1:05 p.m., Cedar Mill Road, Lyons. Stolen vehicle out of another jurisdiction was recovered.

Assist Other Agency, 1:22 p.m., SW Evergreen Street, Mill City. Deputy diverted to priority call before being able to meet with CPS for an interview.

Menacing, 2:23 p.m., E Gates Bridge, Gates. Two males claimed threats from each other. Deputy wasn’t able to determine if there was a crime.

Traffic Stop, 3 p.m., Montgomery Drive/Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Driver cited for speed.

Civil Dispute, 4:01 p.m., Lulay Road, Scio. Civil dispute over a speed bump on an easement road.

Dog Complaint, 4:33 p.m., SW High Avenue, Mill City. Deputies responded to possible dogs at large. No dogs in area upon arrival.

Assault, 7 p.m., Fir Street, Lyons. Deputies investigated juvenile who was “jumped” by other juveniles.

Disabled Vehicle, 9:16 p.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Deputy made sure help was enroute and put out flares.

Traffic Stop, 11:02 p.m., N First Avenue/NE Wall Street, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to obey traffic control device.

Park Patrol, 11:08 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park. Nothing suspicious. Rainy.

Theft, 8:12 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Caller reported fuel theft and requested extra patrol.

Suspicious Vehicle, 1:14 a.m., N Main Street, Scio. Deputies checked on a vehicle parked at a closed business. Driver was a paid cleaning service.

Welfare Check, 9:29 a.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. All were OK.

Fraud, 10:45 a.m., Garden Drive, Scio. Deputy took a report of fraud.

Found Property, 11:11 a.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Found and returned a driver’s license.

Dog Complaint, 12:15 p.m., SW High Avenue, Mill City. Dog owner issued written warning for dog violations.

Civil Dispute, 1:47 p.m., Hungry Hill Drive, Scio. Caller wanted to report civil matter that was already reported to her attorney. Caller was told there was nothing deputies could do and her attorney could lodge the complaint with the court over any violation of rules she believes were broken. Caller was also advised on the process of obtaining a stalking order.

Trespass, 3:33 p.m., Dogwood Street, Lyons. Caller reported a trespass. Deputies were unable to locate individual.

Suspicious Circumstances, 4:41 p.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Caller reported suspicious vehicle at neighbor’s property. It was gone when deputy arrived.

Traffic Stop, 8:10 p.m., Highway 226/Hillside Way, Scio. Driver warned for speed.

Citizen Contact, 10:16 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Deputy answered questions about eviction process.

Extra Patrol, 10:56 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park. Nothing suspicious found.

Traffic Stop, 11:14 p.m., NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for failure to register vehicle.

Traffic Stop, 11:40 p.m., Jefferson-Scio and Garden drives, Scio. Driver warned for speed.

Suspicious Circumstances, 11:48 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Deputies responded to a 911 call that turned into a welfare check and all were found well.

Feb. 23

Traffic Stop, 12:26 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Welfare check of car occupant after 911 call.

Suspicious Vehicle, 12:46 a.m., Cedar Mill Road, Lyons. Deputies checked on a vehicle parked in an abandoned building’s lot. Vehicle was unoccupied. Registered owner was made aware of the vehicle’s location.

Traffic Stop, 3:09 a.m., Jefferson-Scio Drive, Scio. Driver warned for speed.

Traffic Stop, 3:22 a.m., NW Fourth Avenue/NW Beech Street, Scio. Driver warned for speed.

Suspicious Vehicle, 7:58 a.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Vehicle was gone when a deputy arrived.

Abandoned Vehicle, 8:38 a.m., NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Vehicle was parked at location due to road work.

Traffic Stop, 2:46 p.m., SE Kingwood and S First avenues, Mill City. Driver cited for driving uninsured and operating a motorcycle without driving privileges.

Warrant, 3:44 p.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Male, 38, of Mill City was cited in lieu of custody on an outstanding warrant.

Forest Timber Patrol, 3:49 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Deputy was contacted by citizen regarding illegal off-road use in the area by certain vehicles.

Extra Patrol, 4:54 p.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Speed enforcement in Lyons.

Traffic Stop, 5:07 p.m., Fifth and Ironwood streets, Lyons. Driver warned for speed.

Traffic Stop, 5:12 p.m., Fifth and Fir streets, Lyons. Driver warned for speed.

Traffic Stop, 5:21 p.m., Fifth Street/Juniper Lane, Lyons. Driver cited for driving uninsured.

Park Patrol, 8:48 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park. No suspicious activity.

Extra Patrol, 10:32 p.m., SW Evergreen Street, Mill City. Extra patrol of local businesses and business check at open business. All appears well.

Feb. 24

Suspicious Vehicle, 1:26 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Deputies observed vehicles near park and contacted individuals. They were fixing their vehicle and would be leaving the area shortly.

Extra Patrol, 2:04 a.m., Camp Morrison and E Bilyeu Creek drives, Scio. Patrolled Snow Peak. All quiet.

Suspicious Vehicle, 5:15 a.m., Montgomery Drive, Scio. Deputy checked on truck parked roadside.

Extra Patrol, 7:47 a.m., NW River Road, Mill City.

Suspicious Vehicle, 8:03 a.m., Thomas Creek Drive/Highway 226, Scio. Operator was just out enjoying nature.

Dog Complaint, 8:36 a.m., Miller Cemetery Drive, Scio. Caller reported neighbor’s dog was eating one of her sheep. Sheep owner wanted dog owner warned.

Threats, 10:17 a.m., Pebble Drive, Gates. Caller reported ex-boyfriend was sending her concerning texts.

Civil Dispute, 11:06 a.m., SW Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Civil dispute over vehicle. Deputy advised caller of the rules for selling a car and getting it out of the caller’s name.

Probation Violation, 11:31 a.m., Shimanek Bridge Drive, Scio. Juvenile male violation probation and was transported to juvenile detention without incident.

Hit and Run, 1:16 p.m., Dogwood and 14th streets, Lyons. Deputy investigated reported hit and run involving property damage of less than $2,500. Ongoing investigation.

Violation of Order, 3 p.m., Rainbow Drive, Scio. Violation of protection order. Ongoing investigation.

Dog Complaint, 3:44 p.m., Crabtree Drive, Scio. Three dogs harassing livestock were contained by livestock owner. Dogs were returned to owner who will be rehoming the dogs.

Animal Complaint, 3:52 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Abandoned cats left by previous homeowner. A good samaritan offered to take the cats to a shelter.

Found Property, 5:09 p.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputies attempted to locate suspects in a theft investigation for another county. 

Park Patrol, 7:24 p.m., SE Sixth Avenue, Mill City. Kimmel Park. Nothing suspicious.

Suspicious Vehicle, 7:35 p.m., Neal Park Road, Lyons. Deputies responded to suspicious vehicle that ended up being people that had broken down.

Extra Patrol, 8:44 p.m., SW Evergreen Street, Mill City. Extra patrol of local businesses and schools.

Suspicious Vehicle, 8:45 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Deputies received information of suspicious vehicle. Vehicle was seen leaving town.

Traffic Stop, 10:09 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to obey traffic control device.
