Traffic Stop, 8:31 a.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Driver warned for speed.

Traffic Stop, 10:17 a.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for no seat belt.

Extra Patrol, 11:11 a.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Patrolled abandoned property.

Traffic Stop, 11:47 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended – violation and failure to install IID.

Extra Patrol, 12:06 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Traffic enforcement. No warnings or citations issued.

Warrant, 1:26 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Male, 54, of Lyons cited in lieu of custody for warrants from Mill City Municipal Court and  Lebanon Justice Court.

Theft, 7:29 p.m., N Main Street, Scio. State-owned vehicle broke down in the middle of the parking lot and was left there. Female associated with vehicle stole items from the store. Store was not interested in pursuing a criminal charge. Tow truck removed the vehicle.

Suspicious Person, 8:53 p.m., N Main Street, Scio. Suspicious male found in the Post Office lobby. He was cooperative and left when asked.

Dec. 14

Fraud, 8 a.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Deputy made phone contact about fake money. Caller advised to report to the agency where the transaction occurred.

Dog Complaint, 8:06 a.m., SW Cedar Street, Mill City. Report of a loose dog. Deputy was unable to locate.

Traffic Stop, 9:49 a.m., NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Traffic Stop, 9:56 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Traffic Stop, 12:10 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver warned for speed.

Assist Other Agency, 12:36 p.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. AOA for Stayton Police Department.

Traffic Complaint, 3:44 p.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Driving complaint in a park. Vehicle was located and operators and passengers were contacted.

Accident, 7:39 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Vehicle vs pedestrian crash. Ongoing investigation.

Suspicious Vehicle, 11:20 p.m., Mt. Pleasant Drive, Scio. Citizen reported a vehicle driving on the road that does not appear to belong in the area.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle, 11:52 p.m., Main Street, Lyons.

Suspicious Vehicle, 12:47 a.m., 10th Street, Lyons. Individual warned for trespassing.

Traffic Stop, 5:48 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver warned for speed.

Suspicious Circumstance, 9:27 a.m., NW Clayton Place, Scio. Made phone contact about trespass.

Dec. 16

Dog Complaint, 7:50 a.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Dog barking complaint. Dog was recently rehomed and current owners are struggling with teaching the dog not to bark.

Park Patrol, 10:10 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Extra patrol of Kimmel Park. All in good order.

Warrant, 10:55 a.m., Apple Loop, Lyons. Male, 37, of Lyons cited in lieu of custody on a Lebanon Justice Court warrant.

Warrant, 12:08 p.m., Stayton-Scio Loop, Scio. Male, 38, of Scio cited in lieu of custody for a warrant out of Lebanon Justice Court and Linn County Circuit Court.

Motorist Assist, 1:54 p.m., Richardson Gap Road/Ridge Drive, Scio. Deputy located vehicle as described by the caller. The vehicle had been moved further off the hill onto the flats and was no longer a hazard or in the ditch.

Shots Heard, 2:03 p.m., Rodgers Mountain Loop, Scio. Property owner lectured about safe shooting.

Accident, 2:43 p.m., Cole School Road/Sandner Drive, Scio. Deputy investigated a two-vehicle, non-injury crash. No injuries. Both totaled.

Disturbance, 3:54 p.m., Dogwood Street, Lyons. Civil compromise reached.

Elude, 4:20 p.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Motorcycle eluded a deputy while recklessly passing motorists. Pursuit terminated for citizen safety and per agency policy.

Traffic Stop, 8:43 p.m., NW Alder Street/NW Second Avenue, Mill City. Traffic stop for failure to stop at a stop sign.

Traffic Stop, 10:35 p.m., SW Broadway Street/SW Sixth Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for non-operational, passenger-side headlight.

Traffic Stop, 11:09 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to signal.

Suspicious Vehicle, 12:44 a.m., 14th Street, Lyons. Deputies investigated a suspicious vehicle.

Extra Patrol, 1:43 a.m., SE Sixth Avenue, Mill City. Extra patrols including parks and local businesses.

Traffic Stop, 2:31 a.m., N North Santiam Highway, Gates. Driver warned for failure to maintain lanes.

Park Patrol, 6:28 a.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. All secure.

Forest Timber Patrol, 9:14 a.m., Lulay Road, Scio. Patrolled Freres, Weyerhaeuser, BLM properties.

Suspicious Vehicle, 10:14 a.m., Cedar Mill Road, Lyons. Deputies made contact with a person who was just pulled over to make a phone call.

Civil Dispute, 10:48 a.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Deputies advised the owner of the eviction process.

Animal Complaint, 10:54 a.m., Ridge Drive/Miller Cemetery Road, Scio. Injured deer was dispatched and taken before deputies arrived.

Disturbance, 11:44 a.m., Stayton-Scio Loop, Scio. Verbal disturbance between family members.

Animal Complaint, 2:20 p.m., Shelburn Drive, Scio. Deputies saw no signs of reported animal abuse.

Extra Patrol, 7:53 p.m., Hungry Hill Drive, Scio. Deputies searched for a suspicious vehicle in the area.

Domestic Disturbance, 8:31 p.m., Ninth Street, Lyons. Verbal in nature.

Traffic Stop, 9:34 p.m., SW Linn Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for expired registration.

Traffic Stop, 10:16 p.m., S First Avenue/SW Evergreen Street, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to maintain lanes.

Dec. 18

Suspicious Circumstance, 5:03 p.m., NW Clayton Place, Scio. Deputies were unable to locate a suspicious person.

Suspicious Vehicle, 5:57 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver out of gas.

Custodial Interference, 8:30 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Caller wanted to report a child custody issue but was then rude and uncooperative. Caller did not answer when deputy called back.

Dec. 19

Assist Other Agency, 10:36 a.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Deputy assisted BLM with removing an abandoned vehicle left at a camp site. Investigation to continue.

Assist Other Agency, 1:26 p.m., N McCully Mountain and McCully Mountain roads, Lyons. Deputies located a shed on fire. Lyons Rural Fire Department responded.

Harassment, 1:37 p.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Deputies responded to a disturbance. Neither party wished to pursue criminal charges.

Trespass, 4:53 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Extra patrol request from a citizen.

Extra Patrol, 8:49 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Nothing suspicious found.

Extra Patrol, 9:04 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. No cars or persons in the park after dark.

Motorist Assist, 9:23 p.m., Rock Creek Road, Gates. Citizen reported husband was stuck in the snow. Deputies attempted to rendered assistance, but determined the man was out driving and no longer in Linn County.

Extra Patrol, 11:25 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Extra patrol at a residence.

Suspicious Vehicle, 4:25 a.m., Ridge Drive, Scio. Deputies investigated a suspicious vehicle on private property.
