Vacancy declared on Gates City Council

The Gates City Council has declared a vacancy on the council. Applicants must be a resident of Gates for the past 12 months and be a registered voter in the city of Gates for the past nine months. Candidates should be able to serve the remainder of the term through Jan. 21, 2027.

The City Council is composed of five councilors and the mayor. The council meets once, sometimes twice, a month at 7 p.m. on the first and third Thursday on the month.

Interested persons should submit a letter of interest to Gates City Hall, 101 W Sorbin Ave., Gates, OR 97346, or email to [email protected] by 4 p.m. Feb. 15. The letter should verify the applicant meets the basic eligibility requirements, is able to attend regularly scheduled meetings, and why they are interested in serving.
