Traffic Complaint, 7:42 a.m., SW Fourth Avenue/Highway 226, Scio. Traffic complaint passed on from OSP. Deputies were unable to locate.

Traffic Stop, 9:02 a.m., NW Seventh Avenue/NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Dog Complaint, 9:46 a.m., SW Broadway, Mill City. Dog owner cited for dog at large.

Traffic Stop, 10:38 a.m., SE Third Avenue and SE Kingwood avenues, Mill City. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Traffic Stop, 12:47 p.m., NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Traffic Stop, 12:53 p.m., NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver cited for 56 MPH in 40 MPH zone.

Traffic Stop, 1:01 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Traffic Stop, 1:17 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Animal Complaint, 2:48 p.m., Cole School Road/Ridge Drive, Scio. Report of cattle out. Deputy contacted cattlemen in the area who checked the area.

Traffic Stop, 6:14 p.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Driver warned for moving violation.

May 18

Harassment, 1:58 p.m., NE Fourth Avenue, Mill City. Case will be submitted to district attorney for review.

Shots Heard, 2:13 p.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Area check for sound of gunfire. No evidence of any shooting.

May 19

Suspicious Vehicle, 4:24 a.m., 13th Street, Lyons. Deputy observed vehicle at the park during. Deputy contacted driver, who was taking his wife for an early morning walk. 

Suspicious Vehicle, 8:12 a.m., Elm Street, Lyons. Owner contacted. Vehicle was out of fuel.

Prowler, 9:45 a.m., 14ths Street, Lyons. Caller reported a suspicious person on the road the previous night.

Dog Complaint, 9:47 a.m., SW Third Avenue/SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Dog owner cited for dog at large.

Suspicious Vehicle, 11:47 a.m., SE Fifth Avenue, Mill City. Male, 57, of Mill City arrested for two active warrants. Male was cited and released without incident.

Suspicious Vehicle, 8:27 p.m., Stayton-Scio Road/Slangal Drive, Scio. Deputies were unable to locate vehicle. No crimes reported.

Traffic Stop, 11:37 p.m., NW Second Avenue/NW Alder Street, Scio. Male, 24, of Scio issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody for driving while suspended – misdemeanor. Male was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device, failure to register vehicle and driving uninsured.

May 20

Traffic Stop, 3:20 a.m., Highway 226/Freeman Road, Scio. Driver warned for equipment violations.

Suspicious Vehicle, 3:59 a.m., Highway 226/Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Driver was napping before his early morning logging job.

Traffic Stop, 4:09 a.m., Highway 226/SE Cedar Street, Scio. Deputy made traffic stop for a vehicle with no tail lights. Driver was advised to travel with hazard lights on until they got to work.

Fraud, 6:10 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Dispute over whether an antique was authentic or not.

Traffic Complaint, 6:27 p.m., Goar Road, Scio. Report of speeding farm truck. Deputies will do extra patrol.

Trespass, 7:36 p.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Deputies arrived to no one on the property.

May 21

Suspicious Vehicle, 8:47 a.m., Cedar Mill Road, Lyons. Owner asked to move along.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle, 9:19 a.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputies recovered a stolen vehicle from Salem.

Suspicious Vehicle, 3:40 p.m., NE Fourth Avenue, Mill City. Deputies assisted Marion County with a stolen vehicle.

Extra Patrol, 3:49 p.m., NW Wall Street, Mill City. Extra patrol requested at Mill City Museum.

Dog Complaint, 9:15 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Deputy spoke with caller about a dog complaint.

Noise Disturbance, 11:12 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Deputies contacted the parties; advised to keep the music down.

May 22

Animal Complaint, 2:35 a.m., S Ruby Loop, Scio. Deputies dispatched a deer hit by a car.

Traffic Stop, 3:27 a.m., Hungry Hill Drive, Scio. Driver warned for faulty trailer lights.

Criminal Mischief, 11:25 a.m., Main Street, Lyons. Male seen on video punching a mailbox in the early hours. Documented per reporter’s request.
