Traffic Stop, 9:25 a.m., NE Santiam Blvd./NE Alder Street, Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Extra Patrol, 10:47 a.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City.

Fraud, 11:52 a.m., Goar Road, Scio. Caller reported a scam involving Tinder and someone posing as the chief of Portland Police trying to coerce money from the caller. The caller did not send any money and was told to block the scammers.

Theft, 3:23 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Report of a vehicle break-in.

Runaway, 5:30 p.m., Sixth Street, Lyons. Deputy responded to help find a runaway juvenile. Juvenile was located safe.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle, 9:41 p.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Deputy responded to recover a stolen vehicle from the agency.

Traffic Stop, 10:17 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Traffic Stop, 12:08 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Driver warned for speed.

Runaway, 12:29 p.m., NW Beech Street, Scio. Report of a runaway juvenile.

Welfare Check, 2:20 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Deputy conducted a welfare check on a concerned citizen.

Rape, 4:02 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. No public narrative.

Civil Dispute, 7:49 p.m., Ninth Street, Lyons. Deputies informed an individual of the eviction process.

Traffic Stop, 3:06 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver warned for improper display of license plates.

Traffic Stop, 4:18 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver warned for speed.

Traffic Stop, 10:39 a.m., NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Traffic Hazard, 11:04 a.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Owner arrived to remove vehicle.

Illegal Camping, 11:36 a.m., Freeman Road/Highway 226, Scio. Deputy conducted a welfare check on children after receiving a report from a concerned citizen.

Suspicious Circumstance, 4:03 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Found license plate returned to DMV.

Hit and Run, 5:31 p.m., Goar Road, Scio. No suspects.

Domestic Disturbance, 5:57 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Disturbance between family. No crimes.

Traffic Stop, 7:22 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Driver warned for expired registration.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle, 9:14 p.m., NW First Avenue, Scio.

Person Assist, 11:09 p.m., Highway 22, Idanha. Motorists were stranded in the snow. Deputies provided subjects a ride home.

Dec. 2

Animal Complaint, 10:39 a.m., Providence Drive, Scio. Deputy attempted to locate two horses running at large. Deputy was unable to locate. It is unknown who the owner is.

Assist Other Agency, 11:05 a.m., Robinson Drive, Scio. Deputies accompany DHS for a welfare check.

Citizen Contact, 3:38 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Spoke with citizen about a previous incident.

Extra Patrol, 3:49 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Deputies patrolled an abandoned property.

Traffic Stop, 4:15 p.m., S First Avenue/SW Evergreen Street, Mill City. Driver warned for traffic violation.

Hit and Run, 6:29 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Deputies investigated a hit and run.

Dec. 3

Noise Disturbance, 3:21 a.m., SE Juniper Street, Mill City. No loud music in the area.

Assist Other Agency, 7:16 a.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Vehicle’s transmission caught on fire. The fire was extinguished and the vehicle was towed from the roadway. No injuries.

Found Animal, 7:35 a.m., Providence Drive, Scio. Deputies were unable to locate loose horses.

Motorist Assist, 3:58 p.m., Highway 22, Idanha. Deputy pulled a vehicle from a snowbank and assisted with chains.

Traffic Stop, 4:29 p.m., Highway 22, Idanha. Driver warned for careless driving for passing in the icy snow zone.

911 Hang-up, 5:12 p.m., Stayton-Scio Loop, Scio. Deputies made phone contact with caller who needed medics. Deputy had medics dispatched.

Dec. 4

Suspicious Circumstance, 2:30 a.m., NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Deputies responded to an interesting call of the warning center being open when it wasn’t cold. It was, in fact, cold outside. Everything was operating as normal.

Warrant, 7:39 a.m., Cedar Mill Road, Lyons. Male, 33, of Umatilla was arrested for multiple warrants out of multiple courts. He was lodged at Linn County Jail.

Suspicious Circumstance, 3:13 p.m., SE Fourth Avenue, Mill City. Citizen contacted deputies about a green gate on Shepherd’s Lane/Rock Creek Drive. Deputies found the gate and discovered it was owned by the Oregon Department of Forestry.

Civil Dispute, 3:28 p.m., Valley View Road, Scio. Caller returned dog to breeder after finding the dog not a good fit for their home. Breeder did not return money. Breeder reported caller created poor living conditions for the dog. Per contract, breeder can take back ownership of the dog. Caller advised it was a civil matter.

Assist Other Agency, 3:57 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Property owner was informed of tow procedures.

Park Patrol, 5:27 p.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. No issues. Park was empty.

Forest Timber Patrol, 5:42 p.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Patrolled Weyerhaeuser, BLM property.

Suspicious Circumstance, 6:21 p.m., Gates School Road, Gates. Deputies spoke with an individual regarding trespassers. Everyone was OK and on appropriate property.

Traffic Stop, 11 p.m., N Main Street, Scio. Driver warned for no plates.

Dec. 5

Extra Patrol, 12:11 a.m., SE Sixth Avenue, Mill City. Crime prevention patrols in Mill City.

Trespass, 5:30 a.m., Crabtree Drive, Scio. Caller was trying to have someone trespassed off of county property.

Burglary, 9:09 a.m., NW First Avenue, Scio. Burglary and theft of tools amounting to around $300.

Motorist Assist, 11:01 a.m., Sandner Drive, Scio. Deputies conducted traffic control for a broken down vehicle.

Noise Disturbance, 7:38 p.m., Gray Pine Street, Lyons. Report of an explosion or gunfire. Deputies were unable to locate the source of the noise.

Traffic Stop, 9:40 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver warned for expired registration tags.

Extra Patrol, 10:23 p.m., NW First Avenue, Scio.

Dec. 6

Suicidal Subject, 1:11 a.m., Stayton-Scio Road, Scio. Deputies took a report of a suicidal male with a knife but were unable to locate male.

Security Check, 3:50 a.m., N Main Street, Scio. Security check on a building after finding a gate unlocked. Nothing suspicious was found and everything appeared to be secure.
