Welfare Check, 8:23 a.m., Ridge Drive, Scio. Caller requested a welfare check which was attempted.

Trespass, 8:59 a.m., Highway 226/Sixth Street, Lyons. Caller reported people and vehicles trespassing on railroad property.

Abandoned Vehicle, 12:34 p.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Deputy talked with citizen about towing a vehicle from private property.

Suspicious Circumstance, 1:27 p.m., Valley View Drive, Scio. Deputy spoke with a citizen regarding concerns they have about social media posts being made about the citizen and their business.

Traffic Stop, 4:23 a.m., N Main Street/NE Third Avenue, Scio. Driver warned for speeding.

Traffic Stop, 4:52 a.m., N Main Street/NE First Avenue, Scio. Driver warned for speeding.

Civil Dispute, 9:15 a.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Deputies spoke with a person who just bought a property about evicting the current tenants.

Trespass, 11:51 a.m., Goar Road, Scio. Deputies move along someone camping on the caller’s property per their request.

Extra Patrol, 1:59 p.m., Cedar Mill Road, Lyons. Extra patrol at the abandoned Freres Mill.

Suspicious Vehicle, 2:34 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Deputies found the male was just on a lunch break.

Dog Complaint, 3:16 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Transported two dogs to Animal Control.

Criminal Mischief, 8:25 a.m., Sandner Drive/Cole School Road, Scio. Windows broken out of a mini-excavator. $500-750 in damages.

Extra Patrol, 9:12 a.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Informational call requesting extra patrol.

Fraud, 12:52 p.m., Shilling Drive, Scio. Caller reported fraudulent use of her credit card. Ongoing investigation.

Traffic Complaint, 5:02 p.m., Stayton-Scio Road/NE Fourth Avenue, Scio. Deputies unable to locate vehicle.

Suspicious Circumstance, 5:11 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Deputies documented an incident per the reporter’s request.

Warrant Service, 8:42 p.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Deputies were unable to locate wanted subject.

Traffic Stop, 8:48 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive/Fox Valley Road, Lyons. Driver warned for failure to maintain lane.

Warrant Service, 9:09 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputies were informed wanted subject was out of the area.

Warrant Service, 9:19 p.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Deputies attempted to locate wanted subject.

Extra Patrol, 9:27 p.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Traffic infraction enforcement.

Business Check, 9:39 p.m., SW Linn Blvd., Mill City. Conducted a business walkthrough at Trio Tavern. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their beverages. No issues were observed.

Traffic Stop, 9:47 p.m., SW Evergreen Street, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended violation.

Dec. 9

Trespass, 1:08 a.m., Ridge Drive, Scio. Deputies responded and checked property for possible trespassers. None were located.

Suspicious Circumstance, 7:43 a.m., Crabtree Drive, Scio. Caller reported a speeding vehicle from nearby property.

Trespass, 8:38 a.m., NE Alder Street, Mill City. Deputies determined the trespass complaint was a civil issue. Male, 46, was arrested for a warrant.

Suspicious Vehicle, 12:30 p.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Abandoned vehicle was collected by person who has control over vehicle.

Civil Dispute, 1:31 p.m., SW Spring Street, Mill City. Civil dispute between roommates. Non-criminal.

Dec. 10

Domestic Disturbance, 12:21 a.m., NW Beech Street, Scio. Deputies checked the area but did not hear or see any activity.

Stolen Vehicle, 8:21 a.m. Citizen reported his vehicle was stolen by a now ex-employee and was involved in an accident on Lyons-Mill City Drive on 12/9/22 that deputies investigated where the operator fled.

Forest Timber Patrol, 11:47 a.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Patrolled Weyerhaeuser, BLM properties. Checked on logging equipment on RR400. All was secure.

Domestic Disturbance, 8:49 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Deputies spoke to a male and female after reported verbal altercation.

Suspicious Circumstance, 11:05 p.m., NW Second Avenue, Scio. Deputies investigated a suspicious vehicle.

Dec. 11

Stolen Vehicle, 2:28 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Deputy searched Mill City and Lyons for the suspect vehicle. Vehicle was located behind the suspect’s residence with no car parts in the bed. Suspect was unable to be located.

Suspicious Vehicle, 3:06 p.m., Kelly and Gilkey roads, Scio. Female and male believed to be out prowling properties and mail boxes. Deputy was unable to locate.

DUII, 8:46 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive/Neighbors Lane, Lyons. Subject, 23, of Silverton was arrested for DUII and reckless driving after a motor vehicle accident.

Dec. 12

Welfare Check, 7:44 a.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Juvenile was in good health. Deputies had no concerns.

Trespass, 9:38 a.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputies formally trespassed a person frm a residence per the resident’s wishes.

Abandoned Vehicle, 9:49 a.m., Main Street, Lyons. Deputy arrived and spoke with the complainant. Upon arrival, the vehicle had been removed from the last place it was seen.

Suspicious Circumstance, 11:31 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Family had a falling out over a vehicle. The vehicle was returned to its registered owner who does not want to pursue charges of theft of vehicle.

Minor in Possession, 12:49 p.m., SW Cedar Street, Mill City. Deputies learned a juvenile had smoked marijuna at the high school. Deputies forwarded the information to the juvenile department.

Welfare Check, 12:51 p.m., SE Willow Street, Idanha. Deputies conduct welfare check on female who was OK.

Suspicious Vehicle, 1:31 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Deputies received information about a suspicious van/trailer at Kimmel Park. Vehicle was gone upon deputies’ arrival.

Animal Complaint, 2:41 p.m., Ede Road, Scio. Deputy returned a stray dog to owner, explained dog laws.

Traffic Stop, 8:37 p.m., SW Eighth Avenue/SW Evergreen Street, Mill City. Driver cited for no insurance and no ODL.

Violation of Order, 10:03 p.m., Fairview Street/Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputies investigated a case involving reported domestic violence.
