Warrant, 2:12 p.m., Gates School Road, Gates. Male, 56, of Gates was arrested and transported to Linn County Jail on a Circuit Court warrant.

911 Hang-up, 3:16 p.m., SW Beech Street, Scio. Deputies responded to a 911 hang-up call. Child accidentally dialed the number. No assistance needed.

Assist Other Agency, 4:18 p.m., Crabtree Drive, Scio.

Event Detail, 5:05 p.m., NW First Avenue, Scio. City council meeting.

Suspicious Vehicle, 7:08 p.m., Echo Hill Road, Scio. Suspicious vehicle was left abandoned and running with keys in the car. Vehicle was towed as a nuisance.

Extra Patrol, 10:37 p.m., Neal Park Road, Lyons. John Neal Park. Nothing suspicious found.

Trespass, 11:39 p.m., Stayton-Scio Road, Stayton. Subject, 72, of Stayton was arrested for Criminal Trespass 2.

Feb. 13

Death Investigation, 1;07 a.m., Brock Drive, Scio. Death investigation of elderly female. Nothing criminal.

Suspicious Circumstances, 12:15 p.m., Shindler Bridge Drive, Scio. Searched the area for trespassing male; not able to locate.

Suspicious Vehicle, 2:49 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Person at river was asked to move their vehicle.

Neighborhood Dispute, 4:03 p.m., SW Parkside Drive, Mill City. Neighborhood dispute regarding children playing.

Event Detail, 6:05 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. City council meeting.

Traffic Stop, 7:55 p.m., Kingston-Lyons and Substation drives, Stayton. Driver warned for emitting white light to the rear.

Traffic Stop, 8:22 p.m., Seventh and Main streets, Lyons. Driver cited for driving while suspended violation and driving uninsured.

Traffic Stop, 8:37 p.m., Main and 13th streets, Lyons. Driver warned for operating without proper lighting.

Extra Patrol, 12:54 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park. Nothing suspicious found.

Traffic Stop, 2:32 a.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to carry proof of insurance.

Traffic Stop, 3 a.m., NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for failure to renew registration.

Extra Patrol, 3:32 a.m., Neal Park Road, Lyons. John Neal Park.

Accident, 4:22 a.m., Kelly and Weddle Bridge roads, Scio. Driver drove into trench. Vehicle removed.

Warrant, 7:04 a.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Male, 40, of Stayton was issued a citation in lieu of custody for an outstanding warrant.

Theft, 9:43 a.m., Pamelia Road, Idanha. Theft of bicycle, camping gear and wallet. Total value over $4,000. Report taken.

Dog Complaint, 10:42 a.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Dog running loose and chasing cats. Dog has returned home and the owner was warned for dog at large.

Assist Other Agency, 2:30 p.m., Gilkey Road, Scio. Deputies assisted Sweet Home PD with an investigation.

Traffic Complaint, 3:31 p.m., Cole School and Stayton-Scio roads, Stayton. Caller reported a vehicle passing in a no-pass zone and driving aggressively. The incident occurred the previous day and caller did not have a vehicle plate for identification or follow up.

Traffic Stop, 5:39 p.m., SW Fifth Avenue/SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Driver warned for illegal display.

Warrant, 5:57 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Male, 38, of Mill City was issued a citation in lieu of custody for an outstanding warrant.

Suspicious Circumstances, 11:07 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Security check at a business.

Feb. 15

Extra Patrol, 6:20 a.m., Cedar Mill Road, Lyons. Nothing suspicious observed.

Suspicious Circumstances, 9:49 a.m., Dogwood Street, Lyons. Caller reported seeing a male on a property that has been abandoned for several months. Deputies were unable to locate.

Assist Other Agency, 11:16 a.m., Highway 22, Idanha. Assisted with a missing persons case.

Welfare Check, 12:21 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Deputies conducted welfare check on child who had not been to school in two days.

Assist Other Agency, 2:52 p.m., Crabtree Drive, Scio. Assisted code enforcement.

Welfare Check, 3:46 p.m., SE Fourth Avenue, Scio. Deputies conducted welfare check. Everyone was happy and healthy.

Domestic Disturbance, 4:06 p.m., Stayton-Scio Loop, Scio. Deputies responded to a disturbance. Parties had separated and on crimes were reported.

Traffic Stop, 8:56 p.m., N First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to obey traffic control device.

Extra Patrol, 9:33 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Deputies conducted extra patrols of schools, park and local businesses. No suspicious activity observed.

Domestic Disturbance, 10:32 p.m., 13th Street, Lyons. Deputies responded to individuals verbally fighting. Upon arrival, deputies were unable to locate anyone fighting. Initial caller gave street location and individuals located in area advised they did not hear fighting.

Feb. 16

Death Investigation, 3:31 a.m., S Ruby Loop, Scio. No public narrative.

Harassment, 11:13 a.m., Crabtree Drive, Scio. Deputy contacted father regarding harassment issues his juvenile son is experiencing.

Traffic Hazard, 5:50 p.m., Fairview Street/Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Citizen assisted deputy remove a tree blocking the road.

Feb. 17

Warrant, 1:41 a.m., Crabtree and Hungry Hill drives, Scio. Male, 33, of Albany was cited on a warrant.

Welfare Check, 3:13 a.m., 10th Street, Lyons. Deputies check on a person sleeping in their vehicle. The person was OK and did not need any further assistance.

Forest Timber Patrol, 7:07 a.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. 

Welfare Check, 9:22 a.m., Fir Street, Lyons. Deputy conducted welfare check and found male was OK.

Forest Timber Patrol, 4:19 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Deputy conducted two OHV/Safety Card check on OHVs. Both were in compliance.

Traffic Stop, 8:44 a.m., N Main Street, Scio. Driver warned for unsignaled turn.

Traffic Stop, 9:05 a.m., NW Fourth Avenue, Scio. Driver warned for failure to obey traffic control device.

Traffic Stop, 9:19 p.m., N Main Street, Scio. Driver cited for speed.

911 Hang-up, 10:17 p.m., Goar Road, Scio. 911 hang-up by 4 year old playing with phone. Mom spoke to dispatch and advised all was well.

Feb. 18

911 Hang-up, 9:13 a.m., Valley View Drive, Scio. Deputy responded and spoke with citizen who advised they mistakenly dialed 911 and did not need assistance.

Suspicious Person, 11:52  a.m., SW Beech Street, Scio. No public narrative.

Traffic Stop, 8:36 p.m., Highway 226/Montgomery Drive, Scio. Driver warned for expired tags.

Traffic Stop, 10:43 p.m., Gilkey and Goar roads, Scio. Driver warned for failure to maintain lane.

Feb. 19

Traffic Stop, 12:24 a.m., Highway 226/SW Sixth Avenue, Scio. Driver warned for speed.

Found Dog, 12:46 a.m., NW Fourth Avenue, Scio. Deputies found a dog in the road. Dog returned to owner who was warned for dog at large.

Fraud, 9:58 a.m., Kelly Road, Scio. Caller reported online fraud where $4035.95 was charged to her Dell account and product shipped to Florida.

Civil Dispute, 2:57 p.m., Lulay Road, Scio. WeyCo: dispute over an easement onto timber lands.

Park Patrol, 8:33 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park. Nothing suspicious.

Phone Harassment, 9:14 p.m., Kapok Street, Lyons. Deputies spoke to individuals regarding family contact and possible phone harassment.

Extra Patrol, 9:57 p.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Extra patrol around local businesses, fire department, schools and city hall.

Suspicious Person, 10:01 p.m., SW Evergreen Street, Mill City. Deputies contacted male who was taking his frisbee out to practice.

Feb. 20

Extra Patrol, 4:35 a.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Extra traffic patrols and presence. Low traffic at night. Cars observed obeying traffic laws.
