Applications now are being accepted for scholarships and grants funded by the Mike Long Youth Benefit Golf Tournament.
Eligible students for the scholarships include seniors at Santiam, Stayton and Regis as well as to Santiam Canyon residents who attend Oregon Charter Academy. Also available are funding assistance grants for programs that benefit Santiam Canyon youth.

The tournament was started in 2001 by Mike Long and his wife Jan with the goal of raising $500 for one scholarship. The tournament now is closing in on $400,000 raised after the 2023 event. Mike Long passed away in March 2023 and the tournament was renamed in his honor.
