NSSA rate talks postponed

The North Santiam Sewer Authority Board has postponed a discussion on possible service rates after multiple other presentations were scheduled for its Nov. 20 meeting.

While a report on rates was anticipated by FCS Group, this was postponed to give the board more time to discuss topics including projected operations and maintenance costs.

A new date for the rate report was not published as of press time. The board’s next work session is set for Dec. 18, though this may be canceled due to the holidays and the soonest work session after that would be Jan. 15, 2024.

Member cities were asked in October to provide estimates for potential users and population growth, which could then be compared to operational costs for an estimate of service rates.
