Youth Search and Rescue team members wanted

Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to our community or know someone who is?

The Marion County Youth Search and Rescue team is now recruiting new volunteers for the coming year. It’s an opportunity to gain valuable skills and make a positive difference in the local area.

To join the Marion County team, you must be 14 years old or older and must commit to 30 hours of training each year, as well as a 50 percent response rate for searches.

Loaner equipment is available for those who need it to get started, although each member must eventually provide their own gear.

Don’t miss this chance to make a difference. Applications for the Youth Search and Rescue Team close Sept. 30.  Training begins in October.
