Hit and Run, 11:03 a.m., Cole School Road, Scio. Hit and run crash. Possibly DUII. Deputy unable to locate the vehicle.

Extra Patrol, 8:09 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Patrol of Kimmel Park. 

Extra Patrol, 8:25 a.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. No egregious violations observed.

Extra Patrol, 10:25 a.m., Neal Park Road, Lyons. Patrol of Freres City Park. 

Warrant, 10:48 a.m., NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Male, 47, of Gates was cited in lieu of custody for warrants out of Mill City Municipal Court, Marion County Circuit Court and Salem Municipal Court.

Traffic Stop, 11:02 a.m., Big Brother Lane, Lebanon. Female, 48, of Scio was cited in lieu of custody for a warrant. Female was also cited for driving while suspended.

Extra Patrol, 12:16 p.m., 13th Street, Lyons. Deputies patrolled the city park. Nothing suspicious.

Suspicious Vehicle, 12:46 p.m., Gates School Road, Gates. Church related. Non-criminal.

Extra Patrol, 1:09 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Deputies patrolled an abandoned property.

Traffic Stop, 3:07 p.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for moving violation.

Dog Complaint, 3:46 p.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Deputies returned a missing dog to its owner. Owner was warned for dog at large.

Dog Complaint, 3:48 p.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Dog owner warned for dog at large.

City Ordinance Violation, 3:59 p.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Subject was issued a citation for a municipal ordinance at the request of the city attorney – accumulation of vehicles.

Extra Patrol, 4:28 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Patrol of Kimmel Park. All seemed in good order.

Traffic Hazard, 6:52 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive/25th Street, Lyons. Deputies investigated a vehicle broken down on the side of the road.

Traffic Stop, 7:01 p.m., Franklin Butte and Richardson Gap roads, Scio. Driver cited for 86 MPH in 55 MPH zone.

Traffic Stop, 8:07 p.m., N First Avenue/NE Wall Street, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to stop at sign.

Traffic Stop, 8:13 p.m., NE Wall Street/N First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to stop at stop sign.

Traffic Stop, 9:13 p.m., N First Avenue/NE Wall Street, Mill City. Driver received a warning.

Civil Dispute, 10:14 p.m., SW Third Avenue, Mill City. Deputies investigated a civil issue between two juveniles giving phones to each other.

Assault, 1:44 a.m., SE Fourth Avenue, Mill City. Deputies responded to a disturbance. Ongoing investigation regarding assault, menacing, harassment and criminal mischief.

Traffic Stop, 8:22 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Driver cited for driving while suspended.

Traffic Stop, 9:21 a.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Dog Complaint, 9:22 a.m., Larwood Drive, Scio. Dog complaint handled by deputies.

Traffic Stop, 9:34 a.m., SE Third and SE Kingwood avenues, Mill City. Driver cited for no seat belt use.

Extra Patrol, 2:09 a.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Deputies conducted patrols in Mill City.

Suspicious Circumstance, 8:27 a.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputy responded to suspicious circumstance possibly related to mental health issues.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle, 8:45 a.m., Rainbow Drive, Scio. Deputy recovered a trailer that was stolen from the Eugene area.

Dog Complaint, 10:33 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Mill City. Dog owner cited for failure to purchase a dog license.

Assist Other Agency, 12:14 p.m., Stayton-Scio Road, Scio.

Accident, 12:59 p.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Single-vehicle semi crash. Driver was cited for careless driving, operating a vehicle in violation of license restrictions and failure to drive within a lane.

Civil Dispute, 1:47 p.m., Remine Road, Mill City. Deputy advised homeowners of resources of the county.

Warrant Service, 3:05 p.m., Main Street, Lyons.

Traffic Complaint, 4:01 p.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Deputies took report of log trucks driving too fast.

Animal Complaint, 4:03 p.m., Thomas Creek Drive, Scio. Deputy advised calf owner his two calves were in the road on Thomas Creek Drive, which is open range, to help avoid the calves from getting hit by cars. No crime.

Jan. 7

Noise Disturbance, 7:03 p.m., SW Parkside Drive, Mill City. The noise was not heard when deputies arrived.

Violation of Order, 9:36 p.m., NE Ash Street, Scio. Possible violation of a restraining order.

Jan. 8

Disturbance, 2:14 p.m., SW Third Avenue, Mill City.

Civil Dispute, 3:51 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Deputy spoke to a caller about a civil dispute.

DUII, 5:53 p.m., 5:53 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Report of a DUI driver on Highway 22. Information was passed to OSP.

Traffic Stop, 7:43 p.m., SW Second Avenue/Highway 226, Scio. Driver warned for unreadable license plate.

Found Dog, 8:01 p.m., NE Alder Street, Mill City.

Suspicious Person, 9:09 p.m., SW Spring Street, Mill City. Nobody was located in the area.

Jan. 9

Narcotics Offense, 7:57 a.m., Main Street, Lyons. Deputies responded to report of illegal substances in a vehicle. Items were not illegal. No crimes.

Dog Complaint, 9:36 a.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Transported stray dog from Mill City to Animal Control.

Traffic Stop, 10:01 a.m., N First Avenue/NE Wall Street, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to obey traffic control device.

Traffic Stop, 10:06 a.m., NE Wall Street, Mill City. Driver was cited for driving while suspended.

Theft, 10:35 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Mill City. Deputies investigated theft of a trailer.

Traffic Stop, 10:38 a.m., N First Avenue/NE Wall Street, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to obey traffic control device.

Forest Timber Patrol, 11:36 a.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Patrolled to the 5-mile mark before snow became too heavy. Checked on Johnny Lake. No issues found.

Dog Complaint, 12:52 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City.

Extra Patrol, 1:03 p.m., Blowout Road, Idanha. Extra patrol in the far reaches of Linn County.

Violation of Order, 1:51 p.m., NE Ash Street, Scio. Deputy investigated a violation of restraining order.

Traffic Stop, 2:25 p.m., N Main Street, Scio. Driver warned for improper display of registration tags.

Warrant, 2:46 p.m., Deford Street, Mill City. Male, 35, of Mill City was arrested on outstanding warrants out of Marion County and booked in Linn County Jail.

Event Detail, 5:36 p.m., NW First Avenue, Scio. Attended Scio City Council meeting.

Suspicious Vehicle, 8:17 p.m., Cedar Mill Road, Lyons. People sleeping in vehicle.

Noise Disturbance, 9:05 p.m., SW Parkside Drive, Mill City. Deputies were unable to hear the noise the caller reported. Will be documented for possible future enforcement action.

Traffic Stop, 9:37 p.m., S First Avenue/SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Suspicious Vehicle, 10:41 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Person stopped to use cell phone.

Extra Patrol, 1:05 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Park patrol of Kimmel Park.

Traffic Stop, 2:26 a.m., Highway 22. Driver cited for driving while suspended.

Traffic Stop, 2:43 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd./NW Enterprise Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Suspicious Circumstance, 3:23 a.m., Xmas Tree Road, Gates. Caller got his vehicle stuck up Monument Peak after trying to turn around. Caller declined a courtesy ride and will get his vehicle unstuck by a friend.

Traffic Stop, 4 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a semi that had a flat tire. The tire was on a drop axle and was raised before returning to the road. Driver warned.
