Learn to grow your own food year-round

On Saturday, Aug. 26 or Wednesday, Aug. 30 you can learnto grow food year-round at Santiam Community Gardens, 846 5th St., Lyons with Master Gardener Diane Hyde. 

Saturday’s session is 9 a.m. until noon. Wednesday’s repeat session is  6:30 – 8:30 p.m. 

Course includes scheduling and selecting fall/winter varieties to grow in a food garden. 

There is limited space for classroom and hands-on activities. Some free seeds and supplies for planting now will be available.
