April 4

DUII, 3:04 a.m., Richardson Gap Road/Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Deputy responded to a single-vehicle motor vehicle crash. Driver, 32, of Lebanon was arrested for DUII. Booked into Linn County Jail.

Abandoned Vehicle, 10:30 a.m., Hemlock Court, Lyons. Deputies checked on a vehicle parked on the side of the road with a male sleeping in it. Male was allowed to be there and was taking a nap.

Park Patrol, 11:04 a.m., Neal Park Road, Lyons. Freres City Park.

Extra Patrol, 12:49 a.m., SW Evergreen Street, Mill City. Santiam Elementary.

Violation of Order, 1:52 p.m., Jordan Road, Scio. Male, 38, of Woodburn was arrested and lodged at Linn County Jail for violating a restraining order.

Dog Complaint, 4:59 p.m., Myers Place, Scio. Deputies warn parties involved with dog at large running onto neighbor’s property.

Civil Dispute, 5:34 p.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Caller had questions regarding civil issues about parental rights.

April 5

Counter Traffic, 10:51 a.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Deputies talked with someone who was concerned about listening devices in their home.

Welfare Check, 12:20 p.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Deputies checked on the welfare of a female.

Forest Timber Patrol, 1:57 p.m., Monument Peak Road, Gates.

Trespass, 7:16 p.m., Rodgers Drive, Scio. Property owners in dispute and each warned to stay off each others’ property.

Trespass, 7:24 p.m., Rodgers Drive, Scio. Report of trespassing. Ongoing investigation.

Traffic Hazard, 7:35 p.m., Gilkey Road/Crabtree Drive, Scio. Deputy conducted traffic control while a tow truck responded to a broken down motorhome.

Park Patrol, 11:46 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park.

April 6

Parking Complaint, 11:42 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Subject warned for illegal parking/camping on Trask Road near Lyons.

Missing Persons, 12:10 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Deputy responded to report of a person who walked away from a care home. Individual was located and taken back to the care home.

Welfare Check, 2:28 p.m., SW Fourth Avenue, Scio. Deputy spoke with caller about a welfare check.

Juvenile Complaint, 3:03 p.m., NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Caller reported some problems his child is having with other school children. It was determined to be non-criminal.

Violation of Order, 4:46 p.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Caller reported a possible violation of a restraining order. Under investigation.

Hit and Run, 11:05 p.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Deputy investigated a hit and run crash.

April 7

Suspicious Vehicle, 7:24 a.m., Ridge Drive/W Scio Road, Scio. Farm field workers parked along the road.

Trespass, 9:08 a.m., Rock Creek Road, Gates. Deputies check for a car parked on ODF land. Nothing found.

Trespass, 10:06 a.m., NE Wall Street, Mill City. Deputies contacted caller about a male trespassing.

Animal Complaint, 12:06 p.m., Highway 226/Hungry Hill Drive, Scio. Deputy did not observe a deer on either side of Highway 226.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle, 2:09 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Deputies recovered a stolen vehicle. Ongoing investigation.

Disturbance, 7:13 p.m., NE First Avenue/N Main Street, Scio. Unidentified male (as of the time) was arrested and transported to Linn County Jail for charges of Assault IV x2, attempted unlawful use of a motor vehicle, unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and Criminal Mischief III.

Juvenile Complaint, 8:52 p.m., Shimanek Bridge Drive, Scio. Caller had questions regarding disciplining their 13-year-old child.

Assist Other Agency, 9:13 p.m., N Santiam Highway, Gates.

Suspicious Circumstance, 10:38 p.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Deputies responded to property in an attempt to determine if those present had permission to be there. Deputy was unable to contact property owner.

Disturbance, 11:30 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Parties separated for the night. Non-criminal.

April 8

Suspicious Vehicle, 12:20 a.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Vehicle located in the ditch with no people around.

Suspicious Vehicle, 12:55 a.m., Crackerneck Drive, Scio. Vehicle left the area prior to deputy’s arrival.

Suspicious Vehicle, 3:36 a.m., N Main Street, Scio. Deputies investigated a suspicious vehicle near Scio High.

Domestic Disturbance, 10:02 a.m., Highway 22, Gates. Verbal-only argument.

Trespass, 10:33 a.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Deputies responded to call of people trespassing on private property. Subject left when deputies asked them to. Female, 31, of Lebanon was issued two criminal citations in lieu of custody on several warrants.

Suspicious Vehicle, 11:25 a.m., Fish Hatchery Road, Scio. Deputies checked on a vehicle parked on the side of the road. Nothing criminal.

Suspicious Circumstance, 12:34 p.m., Cole School Road/Sandner Drive, Scio. Caller reported two individuals following and harassing a male on the side of the road. Deputies contacted the male who did not wish to pursue charges.

Domestic Disturbance, 1:09 p.m., Stayton-Scio Loop, Scio. Neither party wanted to pursue charges.

Trespass, 2:27 p.m., Front and Seventh streets, Lyons. Deputies asked RV owner to move RV from railroad property. Traffic Stop, 6:51 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Female, 44, of Lebanon was arrested for an outstanding warrant. She was cited and released.

Accident, 6:53 p.m., Burgen Hollow Drive, Scio. Single-vehicle, non-injury accident on private property.

Noise Disturbance, 11:27 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Deputies responded to a noise disturbance that was not very loud.

April 9

Mental Health, 10:31 a.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Deputies provided a restraining order to the caller.

Suspicious Circumstance, 10:41 a.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Deputies responded to a civil disagreement regarding a property line dispute. No crimes were reported.

April 10

Traffic Stop, 2:23 a.m., SW Linn Blvd./SW 10th Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for expired registration.

Suspicious Vehicle, 2:48 a.m., Hungry Hill Drive, Scio. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle.
