Mari-Linn Wear Red Day

Students, staff and community members are encouraged to wear red to help Mari-Linn School raise awareness of heart disease on Wednesday, Feb. 2.

Wear Red Day is supported by the American Heart Association and celebrated in conjunction with National Heart Health Month.

Cardiovascular disease causes one in three deaths in women every year, making it the number one health-related killer in women.

The good news is 87 percent of all heart issues are believed to be preventable.
