Drug Take Back events in Mill City, Scio

The Linn County Sheriff’s Office will hold a Drug Take Back event on Oct. 29 with sites available to dispose of unwanted, unused or expired prescription medications.

The Mill City event is at City Hall, 444 S First Ave., from 9 to 10 a.m..

The Scio event is at the Scio Fire Hall, 38975 SW Sixth Ave. from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

What is accepted?

Any type of Rx and/or over the counter medications are acceptable collections. Make sure lids are on tight if they are liquid.

What is not accepted:

Intravenous solutions, injectables, syringes, medical waste or any type of needle will not be accepted.

As a reminder, there is also a drop box located at the Sheriff’s Office at 1115 SE Jackson St. in Albany.
