City-wide cleanup is Saturday for Idanha and Detroit

A city-wide cleanup day for residents of Idanha and Detroit is set for June 25.

Residents can bring one load of yard debris for free. Additional loads are $25 each with a standard-size pickup or small trailer.

Other materials that can be recycled for a fee include appliances, $20; refrigerators/freezers/AC units, $30; car batteries, $12; furniture, $30; computers/TVs, $30; mattresses, $20; and box springs, $20.

Tires under 20 inches on rims are $10 a piece; off rims are $6 each. Tires over 20 inches on rims are $29 a piece; off rims are $17 each.

Unacceptable items include liquids, hazardous materials, toxic substances, pollutants and contaminants, infectious and medical waste and all demolition and remodel debris.

Bring the correct amount of cash. Checks are also accepted.
