April 22

UUMV, 10:41 a.m., Main Street, Lyons. Report of stolen vehicle.

Suspicious Vehicle, 12:06 p.m., SW Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Boat on county property was removed by owner.

Traffic Stop, 4:44 p.m., Highway 226/Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Driver warned for expired tags.

DUII, 6:18 p.m., Rock Creek Road/Pebble Drive, Gates. Deputies searched area for vehicle and were unable to locate.

Suspicious Person, 9:53 p.m., SW Evergreen, Mill City. No one found.

April 23

Illegal Camping, 7:56 a.m., SW Tuers Lane/SW Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputies found old brush shelter but no people or signs of a camp .

Criminal Mischief, 12:03 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Keyed car.

Motorist Assist, 1:09 p.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Deputy assisted owner of disabled truck clear its blown tire from road and get parked safely out of traffic.

Theft, 3:19 p.m., Larwood Drive, Scio. Air compressor ($439) and gasoline cans stolen from a shop sometime over the previous two weeks.

Traffic Stop, 6:40 p.m., W Main Street, Lyons. Driver warned for improper display.

Traffic Stop, 6:45 p.m., 16th and Main streets, Lyons. Driver warned for failure to carry proof of insurance.

Hit and Run, 8:12 p.m., SW Cedar Street, Mill City. Car backed into another parked vehicle. It was resolved civilly.

Lost Property, 8:48 p.m., Thomas Creek Drive, Scio. Missing medication. 

April 24

Suspicious Person, 1:02 a.m., Highway 226/SE Second Avenue, Scio. Two males walking home.

Found Property, 9:13 a.m., NE Santiam Pointe Loop, Mill City. Bicycle found in caller’s front yard. Unknown owner. Bicycle was transported to Sheriff’s Office and lodged as found property.

Disturbance, 1:21 p.m., SW Linn Place, Mill City. Deputy responded. Juvenile broke a shoe rack out of anger.

Threats, 2:52 p.m., SE Willow Street, Idanha.

Hit and Run, 3:04 p.m., NW Beech Street, Scio. Hit and run with property damage.

Suspicious Vehicle, 3:43 p.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Motorcycle on private property. Deputy explained private property to the property owner.

Animal Complaint, 4:11 p.m., E Gates Bridge, Gates. Dog shot after killing livestock.

UUMV, 4:19 p.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Report of stolen tractor. 

Illegal Camping, 5 p.m., Hungry Hill Drive, Scio. Suspicious vehicle parked near Hoffman Bridge. Noncriminal.

Traffic Stop, 6:02 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for expired tags.

Traffic Stop, 6:16 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver cited for speed.

Traffic Stop, 6:31 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Driver cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured.

Traffic Stop, 10:12 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended, failure to register vehicle and failure to provide proof of insurance.

Traffic Stop, 10:51 p.m., SW Fourth and SW Kingwood avenues, Mill City. Driver warned for speed. Passenger was cited in lieu of custody on an outstanding warrant.

Traffic Stop, 11:16 p.m., SW 10th Avenue/Lyons-Mill City Drive, Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

April 25

Suspicious Vehicle, 12:33 a.m., NE First Avenue, Scio. Deputy located unoccupied vehicle.

Suspicious Circumstances, 3:07 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Deputy located unsecured door at park. No signs of forced entry. Deputy secured door.

Traffic Stop, 4:25 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd./NW Fifth Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for 65 MPH in 40 MPH zone.

Suspicious Circumstances, 4:44 a.m., SW Evergreen Street, Mill City. Deputies located suspicious person with a flashlight in construction site. Deputies learned it was an Amazon driver looking for a building that was recently torn down.

Littering Violation, 11:41 a.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Deputy found a pile of garbage in the Snow Peak Mountain area. Ongoing investigation.

Juvenile Complaint, 5:14 p.m., Jordan Road, Scio. Deputies documented ongoing issues regarding students at school.

Suspicious Circumstances, 5:21 p.m., Rodgers Mountain Loop, Scio. Deputies contacted two males who had broken down in someone’s driveway. Males were waiting for a friend to bring them gas so they could leave.

Criminal Mischief, 6:47 p.m., SE Ivy Street, Mill City. Caller reported his house being hit by three eggs in the early morning hours. Caller did not wish to pursue charges.Wanted it documented.

Suspicious Vehicle, 7:56 p.m., Cedar Mill Road, Lyons. Deputies contacted suspicious person at the abandoned mill. Deputies learned the male was an employee of the property owner and was just taking a break.

Threats, 8:19 p.m., Schindler Bridge Drive, Scio. Deputies responded to an ongoing issue between two males. No crimes were reported.

Traffic Stop, 10:53 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Warned for speed.

April 26

Found Property, 10:09 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Deputies lodged a Silver Schwinn Trek 300 bicycle, eligible to be returned to owner.

Suspicious Vehicle, 12:38 p.m., SE Whitten Road, Mill City. Deputy took report of suspicious vehicle who yelled out their window a couple weeks ago.

Criminal Mischief, 1:08 p.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Juveniles egged a house, resulting in a broken window. Victim did not wish to pursue charges.

Traffic Stop, 1:59 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver cited for failure to carry proof of insurance.

Traffic Stop, 2:02 p.m., SW Fifth Avenue, Scio. Driver warned for equipment violation.

April 27

Traffic Stop, 2:33 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to renew registration.

Traffic Stop, 5:12 p.m., Highway 226/Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Driver warned for speed.

Dog Complaint, 5:52 p.m., W Scio Road, Scio. Dog owner cited for dog as public nuisance x2.

Hit and Run, 7:34 p.m., Robinson Drive, Scio. Single-vehicle hit and run. Deputies located suspect vehicle crashed in Linn County. Driver fled scene and left the property and vehicle in complete disarray.

Disturbance, 10:04 p.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Deputy discovered one sibling had locked another out of the residence. All was resolved.

Noise Disturbance, 10:40 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Noise complaint involving a commercial business.

April 28

Traffic Stop, 2:18 a.m., Highway 226/Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Driver warned for failure to dim headlights.

Noise Disturbance, 2:26 a.m., Meridian Road, Scio. Noise complaint was addressed with the organizer.

Traffic Stop, 11:06 a.m., NE Wall Street/N First Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for driving uninsured and failure to register vehicle.

Traffic Stop, 1:21 p.m., NE Santiam Blvd./NE Alder Street, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to renew registration.

Theft, 4:52 p.m., SE Grove Street, Mill City. Kids’ bicycles stolen. Valued at $240.
