Jan. 11

Assist Other Agency, 9:19 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Deputies assisted Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office with attempting to locate a suspect.

Warrant, 9:59 a.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Female, 30, cited and released on a failure to appear warrant out of Mill City.

Disturbance, 12:18 p.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Deputies responded to a family disturbance. Non-criminal.

Lost Dog, 3:36 p.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Deputies transported an orangish, female dog from Mill City to Animal Control.

Assist Other Agency, 4:08 p.m., Ash Street, Lyons. Deputies assisted Salem PD with an ongoing investigation.

Park Patrol, 4:39 p.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Deputy patrolled Roaring River Park. Nothing to report.

Trespass, 5:46 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Report of someone inside a unit that should be empty at FEMA camp. Person was a tenant who lived in the unit for some time. Civil issue between FEMA and resident.

Traffic Hazard, 5:46 p.m., Richardson Gap Road/Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Male walking in the street was gone prior to deputy’s arrival.

Suspicious Vehicle, 11:47 p.m., Cedar Mill Road, Lyons. Person found sleeping in their vehicle on private property. Person was asked to move along.

Jan. 12

Extra Patrol, 12 a.m., Stayton-Scio Loop, Scio. Caller requested extra patrol after seeing someone walking around at night. Deputy checked the area. No lights on in the park and no one seen moving around.

911 Hang Up, 11:39 a.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. 911 hang up at Mari-Linn School. All appeared well. Deputy walked the school with the principal. No answer on call back and no signs of distress observed.

Suspicious Vehicle, 3:02 p.m., Ridge and Brock drives, Scio. Deputy responded to a possible old crash/suspicious vehicle call. Car was no longer in the area.

Park Patrol, 3:26 p.m., Larwood Drive, Scio.

Welfare Check, 4:53 p.m., SW Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Child was fine and supervised by mother.

Suspicious Person, 7:22 p.m., NW Beech Street, Scio. Deputy unable to locate.

Jan. 13

Domestic Disturbance, 2:23 a.m., Myers Place, Scio. Argument over landlord raising the rent.

Illegal Camping, 7:28 a.m., Goar Road, Scio. Female, 47, arrested on two failure to appear warrants. She was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody.

Suspicious Circumstance, 9:41 a.m., N Main Street, Scio. Deputy responded to suspicious circumstance at Scio High.

Welfare Check, 10:58 a.m., SE Mountain Avenue, Idanha. Welfare check completed.

Phone Harassment, 1:27 p.m., SE Cedar Avenue, Idanha. Female reported she is being harassed via text message. Ongoing issue.

911 Hang Up, 2:40 p.m., Third Street, Lyons. Three children were playing with an unplugged phone when one decided to plug it in and convince her sister to dial 911. All three were warned about the issues caused when calling 911. Grandma and grandpa will ensure this does not happen again.

Forest Timber Patrol, 2:57 p.m., McCully Mountain Road, Lyons. Deputy patrolled Weyerhaeuser property. One vehicle seen driving out of the area but no other traffic.

Welfare Check, 7:55 p.m., SE Fifth Avenue, Scio. Child appeared healthy, in good spirits and uninjured.

Jan. 14

Shots Heard, 1:57 a.m., SW Greenwood Place, Mill City. Report of possible shots in the area. Deputies did not find anything.

Domestic Disturbance, 2:01 a.m., NE Alder Street, Mill City. Non-criminal.

Traffic Hazard, 3:53 a.m., Kingston-Jordan Road, Scio. Cows were returned back to the field and the fence was fixed.

Missing Person, 6:22 a.m., Main Street, Lyons. Welfare check. All was well.

Traffic Hazard, 8:30 a.m., Shelburn Drive, Scio. Operator of a motor home took a corner into a driveway too sharp and put it part way in the ditch. Operator arranged for their own tow to get the vehicle out.

Out With a Vehicle, 9:14 a.m., Shelburn Drive/West Scio Road, Scio. Deputy checked on abandoned vehicle. Deputy found the owner nearby who was out for a walk.

Extra Patrol, 11:48 a.m., SW Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Caller reported a loud vehicle near the post office. Not enough information was provided to identify the vehicle.

Theft, 1:08 p.m., SW Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Caller reported someone had stolen his wallet roughly three weeks prior.

Disturbance, 2:05 p.m., Stayton-Scio Loop, Scio. Caller reported a non-physical altercation. No crimes.

Disturbance, 7:43 p.m., Stayton-Scio Loop, Scio. Landlord-tenant issue. No crimes.

Jan. 15

City Ordinance Violation, 12:20 a.m., SE Juniper Street, Mill City. Noise disturbance. Deputies contact male and warned him to turn the music off or be cited for Noise Ordinance violation. Male turned the music off.

Theft, 12:15 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Mill City. Report of a .45 caliber handgun stolen within the last couple of months. Approx. value $875.

Theft, 12:35 p.m., SE Fairview Street/S First Avenue, Mill City. License plate was stolen off a dump trailer. Cost to replace license plate and registration is $84.

Abandoned Vehicle, 12:48 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive/Jordan Road, Scio. Caller reported a Jeep off an embankment near MP 0.7. Incident was reported in the past and will need further investigation.

Assist Other Agency, 3:21 p.m., Highway 22/NE Alder Street, Mill City. Deputy unable to locate vehicle reported as possible DUII.

Suspicious Circumstance, 11:04 p.m., SW Linn Blvd., Mill City. Disagreement at the Trio leads to a broken shot glass. Caller did not wish to pursue charges during this time.

Jan. 16

Disturbance, 1:21 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Mill City. Girlfriend started a verbal argument while intoxicated. Male, 36, of Mill City cited in Lieu of Custody for outstanding warrants.

Disturbance, 1:26 a.m., SW Spring Street, Mill City. Deputy responded to a disturbance. No crimes were reported.

Assault, 2:20 a.m., Camp Morrison Drive/Highway 226, Scio. Fight involving multiple people. Ongoing investigation.

Dog Complaint, 10:03 a.m., SW Douglas Street, Mill City. Loose dogs were nowhere to be found when deputies arrived.

Abandoned Vehicle, 11 a.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Deputy answered questions about procedures for an abandoned vehicle on private property.

Suspicious Person, 11:35 a.m., Kingwood and SW 11th avenues, Mill City. Adult male warned for repeatedly asking women if they want a ride. Victim did not wish to press charges.

Traffic Stop, 12:32 p.m., Fisher Street/Crabtree Drive, Scio. Driver cited for failure to carry proof of insurance.

Welfare Check, 1:10 p.m., SW Cedar Street, Mill City. Deputy helped a mother get in contact with her child who was at the father’s house.

Sex Offense, 9:06 p.m., Kingston-Jordan Road, Scio. Third person report of a juvenile sending sexually explicit videos to an adult. Caller was unwilling to provide the adult’s information to investigate. Deputies were unable to locate juvenile for questioning. Information gathered by deputies will be documented by a report.

Jan. 17

Domestic Disturbance, 2:01 a.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Nothing physical. No crimes reported.

Domestic Disturbance, 9:11 a.m., Robinson Drive, Scio. Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance. No crimes committed.

Welfare Check, 10:08 a.m., SE Willow Street, Idanha. Deputies conducted a welfare check.

Animal Complaint, 12:39 p.m., Ridge Drive/Stayton-Scio Road, Scio. Cows were gone prior to arrival.

Abandoned Vehicle, 4:38 p.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Deputies investigated an abandoned vehicle.

Disturbance, 10:26 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Non-criminal.
