Folks of all ages are invited to come and enjoy the third annual Bridges, Bikes and Brews Festival on Saturday, Sept. 9 at the Linn County Lamb and Wool Fairgrounds in historic downtown Scio. There will be local craft brews, corn hole tournament, motorcycle covered bridge poker run, food, entertainment, vendors and more.
The fairgrounds is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. with food carts and other vendors. The beer garden opens at 11 a.m. and features beverages from Growler Café in Lebanon.
Beginning at 11 a.m., the Carol Bates Stage will feature music with Lane Norberg in the morning and Huckle Buck Highway in the afternoon. County musician Jessie Leigh, presented by Republic Services, will perform in the evening.
The motorcycle poker run runs from 11 a.m. until the winner is selected at 3 p.m. Register, visit all five area covered bridges and become eligible to win the prize money.
A silent auction will also be held with a wide variety of prizes donated by supporters from around the state.
Proceeds from the event goes to support the work of Scio Fairgrounds and Event Center, a local, non-profit, grassroots effort to build a space for showcasing opportunities in the Scio area.
