It’s almost time for school (gasp!)

It’s getting closer to the start of school! Santiam Junior/Senior High and Stayton High will hold students registration days in August.

SJSHS Registration

Students in sixth through 12th grade can register 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Aug. 15 and noon – 8 p.m. Aug. 16 at the school.

Students will finalize registration, check about their schedule, get locker assignments, pay fees and get the necessary paperwork for the school year. Students can also register for sports.

Students should bring basic school supplies on the first day of school. These include backpack, binder, paper, spiral notebooks, pens, pencils, etc. Specific supplies will be requested in the first two weeks of school by individual teachers. Anyone needing assistance with school supplies can call the office at 503-897-2311.

SJSHS picture day is Sept. 12. Order forms will go home with students the first week of school.

Stayton High Eagle Days

Stayton High holds it Eagle Days 7:30 – 6 p.m. Aug. 7 and noon – 6 p.m. Aug. 8. The school will be closed for lunch from 11 a.m. to noon. Students can enter through the auditorium doors.

Students will be able to register for the school year and sports, take school pictures and get an ID card, and purchase an ASB card and yearbook.

Students will also get their schedules, check out a Chromebook and signup for lockers.

School supplies needed for the first day of school include a binder with dividers, pens and pencils, highlighter, and college ruled paper or a spiral notebook for each class.
