Serving the communities of Mill City, Scio, Lyons, Mehama, Gates, Detroit, and Idanha

MC fire offers tree recycling

Community members in Mill City, who would like to dispose of their Christmas trees and help the local food bank will have the opportunity on Jan. 7. Members of the Mill City Volunteer Fire Department will pick up and dispose of used trees. The cost of this service will be a donation of four cans of food or other non-perishable items for the local food bank.

After the holiday season, the food bank is often short on food. This is a way to replenish the shelves. To get on the list for pick-up, call Mill City Fire Hall, 503-897-2390, and leave your name, address and the location of tree.
