May 22

Motorist Assist, 1:14 p.m., Montgomery Drive/Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Deputy helped get a tow to a broken-down motorist.

Theft, 6:30 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Predator brand generator worth $820 was stolen from the property while the owner was on vacation.

Theft, 9:04 p.m., Myers Place, Scio. Victim reported several firearms stolen from his vehicle. Value: $1,050.

May 23

Violation of Order, 12:09 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Deputy responded to a complaint of violation of restraining order; answered questions.

Traffic Complaint, 2:18 p.m., SE Kingwood and S First avenues, Mill City. Deputy contacted caller and talked to the residence he thought the car belonged to.

Suspicious Vehicle, 7:25 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Deputy saw a vehicle parked in emergency vehicle turnaround and told driver where they were allowed to park.

Traffic Stop, 7:41 p.m., Kingston-Jordan Road, Scio. Male, 31, of Scio was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody for driving while suspended  and PV DUII.

May 24

Traffic Stop, 5:34 a.m., Echo Hill Road/Highway 226, Scio. Driver warned for moving and equipment violation.

Assist Other Agency, 10:58 a.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Medical emergency. 

Traffic Stop, 12:27 p.m., SE Fourth and Kingwood avenues, Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Traffic Stop, 12:59 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Traffic Stop, 2:25 p.m., Franklin Butte and Richardson Gap roads, Scio. Driver warned for speed.

Accident, 4:59 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive/Fox Valley Road, Lyons. Non-injury.

Burglary, 11:16 p.m., Blowout Road/Highway 22, Idanha. Deputies responded to a possible burglary in progress. Upon arrival, no signs of entry were seen. All doors and windows were secured.

May 25

Trespass, 11:11 a.m., W Scio Road, Scio. Male trespassed. Female didn’t want to press charges. Female was educated about stalking orders.

Traffic Stop, 11:33 a.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for cell phone use while driving.

Traffic Stop, 1:19 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for 43 MPH in 25 MPH zone.

Traffic Stop, 1:44 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Extra Patrol, 2:03 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Traffic enforcement on SE Kingwood/SE Fourth Avenue. No citations or warnings issued.

May 26

Warrant, 8:48 a.m., Main Street, Lyons. Person spoken to about his current license suspension.

Suspicious Circumstance, 12:12 p.m., NW Clayton Place, Scio. Male made a report to FBI about human trafficking of his young daughter. Daughter was contacted and is fine in care of DHS. Report was unfounded by LCSO.

Unauthorized Entry, 3:04 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. The caller’s son crashed her vehicle on May 12 and left it at the crash scene. Before a tow truck could arrive, someone stole keys and paperwork. 

May 27

Dog Complaint, 9:21 a.m., SE Laurel Street, Mill City. Dog owner issued citation for dog as a public nuisance for barking.

Assault, 12:53 p.m., NW Beech Street, Scio. Report of a school yard fight at Scio Middle School.

DUII, 7:22 p.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Caller reported a possible DUII driver traveling from Scio to Albany. Deputies were unable to locate and Albany PD was advised.

DUII, 7:42 p.m., Shelburn and Shilling drives, Scio. Caller reported a possible DUII driver. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle.

Traffic Stop, 8:39 p.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Driver cited for 89 MPH in 55 MPH zone.

May 28

Suspicoius Circusmtance, 2:25 a.m., N Main Street, Scio. Deputies came across suspicious circumstance while conducting extra patrol at Scio High.

Missing Person, 4:34 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Deputy assisted other agency in looking for suspected missing person.

Rescue, 10:39 a.m., Quartzville Road, Idanha. Deputy responded to a vehicle stuck in the snow off 1168 Road on USFS land. Vehicle was pulled out and subjects left the area.

DUII, 4:57 p.m., Stayton-Scio Road, Scio. Caller reported a possible DUII driver. Deputies unable to locate.

Criminal Mischief, 8 p.m., SE Grove Street, Mill City. Caller reported a vehicle drove on his property, damaging his lawn and a tree. Ongoing investigation.

May 29

Rescue, 3:59 a.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Responded to BLM property on a reported search and rescue mission. Caller was contacted and stated his truck broken down and he had help on the way. Area was checked and no one else was in need.

Warrant, 7:16 a.m., Shelburn Drive, Scio. Male, 37, was issued a citation in lieu of arrest.

Traffic Stop, 8:49 a.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Driver cited for speeding.

Traffic Stop, 9:26 a.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Driver warned for failing to maintain lane.

Traffic Stop, 7:54 p.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Driver warned for moving violation.

Suspicious Vehicle, 11:51 p.m., Hess Road, Scio. Deputy located vehicle parked at boat ramp. Owner was sleeping and would leave the area in the morning.
