Carolyn D. (Benway) Delker, 79, of Gates died March 23, 2022. She was born on Dec. 26, 1942, in Orange Calif. to Charles and Ruth Benway. She would graduate from high school.
She met Ron Delker at the Gates Fireman’s picnic/softball game in 1981, and they were married on Jan. 16, 1982, at the Gates Church.
Together they would live at their Gates home for 40 years.
Carolyn loved oil painting, china painting, quilting, RVing and attending quilt shows.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lavern Montiel. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Ron Delker; son, Scott Sexton; grandchildren, Shanna, Justin, Kayla, Scott Jr., Austin, and Alyssa.
Private family burial was at Fairview Cemetery in Gates. Arrangements by Weddle Funeral Services,
Stayton.
