Kathryn (Kay) Alice Carbaugh, 72, of Mill City died March 3, 2023. She was born in Boise, Idaho, to William and Ruth Leise. On Dec. 31, 1976, she married Michael Carbaugh and became a homemaker to her family. The couple raised five children in Mill City.
Kay participated with her children as a scout leader and a scorekeeper for the Santiam Little League. She also worked a fireworks booth for 25 years and drove a school bus for many years.
Kay’s hobbies included her love for children and family, racing go-karts, family genealogy, cross stitch, camping and fishing.
Kay is survived by her husband, Michael Carbaugh; sons, James (Tinney) Carbaugh, Michael (Jeanette) Carbaugh, Shawn (Rhianna) Carbaugh, Matthew (Rosa) Carbaugh; daughter, Michelle Carbaugh; siblings, William Leise, Barbara Matteucci, Ronni Nichols, Susan (Tim) Peters; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. March 19 at St. Patrick’s Mission, 362 Seventh St., Lyons.
