New Fire Engine gifted to IDRFD

The Idanha-Detroit Rural Fire District (IDRFD) was gifted a 1999 Pierce Lance Pumper from the Lebanon Fire District on Feb. 23.

“We are glad to help our neighbors and partners,” said Lebanon Fire Chief Joseph Rodondi, pictured here with IDRFD Fire Chief Chad LaVallee. “I am hopeful that this engine will be able to serve the residents of the Idanha-Detroit Fire District for many years to come.”

During the 2020 Santiam Canyon wildfires, IDRFD lost most of its firefighting apparatus.
