Nominations open for community awards

The North Santiam Chamber of Commerce is looking for good folks to recognize at the Santiam Community Awards night. 

The event will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24 at the Santiam High School Gym in Mill City.

The chamber is now accepting nominations in the following categories:

• Nonprofit of the Year: honoring outstanding community servers whose focus is on helping.

• Young Adult Citizen Award: recognizing a person between 18-35 who has substantially added to the community by helping to create new ideas and participate with local efforts. 

• Business of the Year: honoring a local business that has shown a history of excellent products and community involvement.

• Canyon Beautification and Improvement Award: honoring a local business or property owner known for their dedication to creating a more beautiful Santiam Canyon.
