Traffic Stop, 7:30 a.m., NW Seventh Avenue/NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Traffic Stop, 7:46 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Welfare Check, 9:09 a.m., Miller Cemetery Road, Scio. Individual was OK.

Traffic Stop, 10:02 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Criminal Mischief, 12:35 p.m., Rock Creek Road, Gates. Male, 42, of Salem was cited and released for cutting of special forest products.

Forest Timber Patrol, 2:19 p.m., SE Fourth Avenue, Mill City. Patrolled Weyerhaeuser, ODF, BLM, Follansbee properties.

Dog Complaint, 2:35 p.m., Ridge Drive, Scio. Attempted contact with complainant regarding a dog complaint.

Domestic Disturbance, 2:39 p.m., Rock Creek Road, Gates. Male and female yelling at each other as they are separating. Argument mainly over civil property issues.

Fraud, 2:48 p.m., Gray Pine Street, Lyons. Caller reported fraud/ID theft in her step-daughter’s name but had no proof of fraud yet. Caller was advised on how to proceed and, if fraud is discovered, to call back.

Forest Timber Patrol, 2:54 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Patrol Avery, Weyerhaeuser properties. One vehicle contacted on Avery lands.

Suspicious Person, 4:26 a.m., Jefferson-Scio Drive, Scio. Deputies unable to locate a suspicious person.

Dog Complaint, 9:37 a.m., Ridge Drive, Scio.

Forest Timber Patrol, 10:03 a.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Assisted with removing illegally cut trees from ODF property.

Traffic Complaint, 10:51 a.m., SW Broadway Street/SW Greenwood Place, Mill City. Extra patrol requested for speeding log trucks driving east on Broadway.

Traffic Complaint, 10:54 a.m., Cole School Road/Sandner Drive, Scio. Spoke with caller regarding traffic complaint in work zone.

Accident, 1:20 p.m., Shimanek Bridge Drive/Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Deputies conducted traffic control at a traffic hazard.

Forest Timber Patrol, 1:21 p.m., Larwood Drive, Scio. Patrolled BLM property including the mine.

Theft, 2:46 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Female stole items from the store. Female was located and detained.

Traffic Stop, 6:28 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Nov. 23

Criminal Mischief, 1:51 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Deputies were unable to locate someone throwing items at a truck.

Suspicious Circumstance, 2:23 a.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Deputies attempted to provide aid to a man who cut himself. Man was checked out by medics and released.

Accident, 4:16 p.m., Ridge Drive/Cole School Road, Scio. Non-injury crash. Parties exchanged information. Heavy fog contributed to the crash.

Disturbance, 5:39 p.m., Robinson Drive, Scio. Domestic disturbance. Deputies were able to separate parties for the night.

Noise Disturbance, 6:40 p.m., Crabtree Drive, Scio. Deputies checked on welfare of a male.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle, 9:16 p.m., Jefferson-Scio Drive, Scio. An unoccupied, stolen vehicle, reported from the Portland area, was recovered.

Nov. 24

Suspicious Person, 5:29 a.m., N Main Street, Scio. Deputy spoke with two employees and both stated they have never seen the person in the pictures. Female was not an employee and neither recalled having seen her in the store.

Dog Complaint, 12:20 p.m., NW River Road, Mill City. Dog owner cited for dog at large.

Suspicious Circumstance, 12:50 p.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Caller reported his neighbor was causing damage to his property. Neighbor was warned.

Nov. 25

Fraud, 11:15 a.m., Rodgers Mountain Loop, Scio. Deputies responded to a fraud call involving Bitcoin. Ongoing investigation.

Forest Timber Patrol, 4:14 p.m., Straight Creek Road, Idanha. Patrolled USFS property. Road was very icy in some areas but passable. Nothing criminal found.

Extra Patrol, 8:17 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. No kids or vehicles in the park after dark.

Nov. 26

Found Property, 9:36 a.m., Rodgers Mountain Loop, Scio. Male contacted to collect his belongings.

Abandoned Vehicle, 10:30 a.m., Cedar Mill Road/Evergreen Lane, Lyons. Deputy responded and found owners actively trying to remove it.

Dog Complaint, 12:43 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Deputy spoke with resident about dog as a public nuisance.

Fraud, 1:21 p.m., Myers Place, Scio. Caller was scammed out of $1,002.

Neighborhood Dispute, 2:09 p.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputy responded to a civil dispute regarding placement of a fence.

Trespass, 4:50 p.m., NE Third Avenue, Mill City. Homeowner wanted neighbor trespassed from property. Deputies assisted.

Theft, 5:57 p.m., 13th Street, Lyons. Deputies took a report of a stolen wallet. No suspects.

Traffic Stop, 7:38 p.m., Highway 226, Lyons. Driver cited for failure to renew registration.

Suspicious Vehicle, 10:56 p.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Deputies informed individuals county parks are closed from dusk to dawn.

Nov. 27

Suspicious Person, 1:17 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Deputies transported a juvenile home.

Traffic Stop, 1:56 a.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Driver warned for passing in a no-passing zone.

Extra Patrol, 3:18 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Extra patrol at Kimmel Park.

Theft, 1014 a.m., Highway 226/McCully Mountain Road, Lyons. Vehicle broken into on BLM land. Camping gear stolen valued at $320.

Suspicious Person, 2:57 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Deputy responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle at the county park. Vehicle was gone by the time the deputy arrived. Deputy was unable to locate any suspicious vehicles or persons.

Suspicious Person, 4:13 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Male was lost and claimed to be attempting to travel to Oregon City. Deputy provided male a courtesy ride to Stayton.

Runaway, 8:40 p.m., SE Fourth Avenue, Scio.

Nov. 28

Traffic Stop, 6:13 a.m., W Scio Road/Jefferson-Scio Drive, Scio. Operator left the market and began driving down the road with no lights. No intoxication observed. Driver warned.

Suspicious Circumstance, 8:01 a.m., SW Cedar Street, Mill City. Deputy was unable to locate vehicle.

Traffic Stop, 9:46 a.m., Kingwood Avneue, Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Animal Complaint, 9:52 a.m., Crabtree Drive, Scio. Deputy tried to reach the caller on a possible animal neglect case but got no answer.

Extra Patrol, 10:46 a.m., SW Cedar Street, Mill City. Deputies visited Santiam Jr./Sr. High.

Dog Complaint, 10:46 a.m., SW High Avenue, Mill City. Deputies were unable to locate a loose dog.

Theft, 12:34 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Caller reported backpack with miscellaneous items valued at $240 stolen from their vehicle.

Assisted Other Agency, 2:17 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Deputies assisted DHS.

Accident, 5:26 p.m., Montgomery Drive, Scio. Single-vehicle, non-injury crash.

Fraud, 7:39 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputy takes report of lost wallet used in several transactions. Ongoing investigation.

Accident, 8:06 p.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Deputy made phone contact about single-vehicle crash from earlier in the day.
