PacifiCorp lawsuit town hall in Stayton

Reporter for The Canyon Weekly

Attorneys representing wildfire survivors in a class action lawsuit against PacifiCorp will host a town hall meeting in Stayton Friday, June 30, to share updates about the case and opportunities to seek damages.

Scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Stayton Community Center, 400 W. Virginia St., attorneys will answer questions and share next steps for those who suffered damages.

A jury found PacifiCorp liable June 12 for negligently causing the Santiam Fire and three other Oregon wildfires Labor Day 2020. A class of around 5,000 survivors may be entitled to personal damages, including those living in the Santiam Canyon at the time of the fires.

Class members must reach out directly to plaintiff attorneys to seek damages and can email [email protected] or call 503-217-6722. Class members are represented by Edelson PC, Keller Rohrback LLP, and Stoll Berne.
