Letter to the Editor: Thank you from Fairview Cemetery Association

Fairview Cemetery Association Board

The Fairview Cemetery Association would like to say thank you to all the individuals who volunteered Saturday, May 20, to make our workday a success!

A special thank you goes to Gates Fire Department for burning the old cemetery tool shed; Gary Henness for debris cleanup and donating railroad ties, posts, and cable for the new cemetery parking lot; Mitch Newton and C&M Transport for donating and spreading new gravel on the cemetery roads; and Bruce Brunstad, James Ely, Toby Fencl, Mark Smith, Dave White, and others who faithfully place flags, annually, on veterans’ graves.

Not only does each and every one of your efforts support Fairview Cemetery, but our community as a whole. Thank you so much for your willingness to donate your time and resources!

If you are interested in volunteering with Fairview Cemetery, please contact Mike Waymire at 503- 551-2741.
