 DEC. 26

Accident, 10:16 a.m., Kingwood Avenue/Gates School Road, Gates. Caller had questions about what to do after being in a motor vehicle crash. Deputy responded.

Traffic Hazard, 6:50 p.m., Highway 226/Kingston-Jordan Road, Scio. Deputy removed a large tree branch from the roadway.

DUII, 7:26 p.m., Shelburn Drive, Scio. Caller reported his son had been drinking and was preparing to drive away. Male agreed with deputies to call a friend to come get him.

Traffic Hazard, 10:22 p.m., Burmester Drive/Lulay Road, Scio. Deputy assisted Linn County Road Department with clearing two large trees from the roadway.

 DEC. 27

Accident, 11:35 a.m., Kingwood Avenue/ SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Non-injury vehicle crash.

Welfare Check, 2:03 p.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. DHS welfare check. Child appeared normal, happy and uninjured.

Suspicious Vehicle, 11:21 p.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Golf cart driven by two high school students. Students were told to go home for the night.

 DEC. 28

Extra Patrol, 12:49 a.m., SW Evergreen Street, Mill City. Extra patrol south of Mill City. All seemed in good order.

Suspicious Circumstance, 1:30 a.m., Bilyeu Creek Road, Scio. Caller wasn’t able to locate her intoxicated grandmother. Upon arrival, deputies learn the grandmother has been located and was inside for the night.

 Suspicious Vehicle, 2:41 a.m., NW Second Avenue, Scio. Subject was messing with the ignition of a truck. Subject was a locksmith. Owner was on scene.

 Animal Complaint, 9:23 a.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Deputy responded to sheep in the roadway. Sheep were found back in the field. Sheep owner was notified.

Traffic Stop, 9:26 a.m., Fifth and Fir streets, Lyons. Driver warned for speed.

 Found Property, 11:09 a.m., Providence Drive, Scio. Found half a license plate. Will be returned to DMV.

 Missing Person, 12:09 p.m., Fir Street, Lyons. Caller reported her husband as missing.

Abandoned Vehicle, 12:40 p.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Caller reported an abandoned vehicle on his property. Car owner and property owner were able to reach a civil agreement about removing the vehicle.

 Extra Patrol, 7:03 p.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Traffic enforcement until 8:40 p.m. No citations or warnings issued.

 Park Patrol, 8:41 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Patrol of Kimmel Park. All was in good order.

 Threats, 10:04 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Caller wanted a person trespassed from his property after a heated conversation about an altercation their kids got into on the street.

 DEC. 29

UUMV, 8:56 a.m., SW Cedar Street, Mill City. Deputies responded to an unlawful use of a vehicle at Santiam High. The case is under investigation.

 Civil Dispute, 10:41 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Mill City. Caller reported a friend borrowed his vehicle and wouldn’t return it. Owner located it and no longer needed law enforcement.

 Forest Timber Patrol, 3:16 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Deputy patrolled BLM and Weyerhaeuser properties.

 Forest Timber Patrol, 4 p.m., Larwood Drive, Scio. Deputy patrolled BLM property.

 Forest Timber Patrol, 4:04 p.m., Larwood Drive, Scio. Deputy patrolled BLM property. Mine site showed activity. No one was found in area.

Traffic Stop, 4:08 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Driver warned for tail light out and no proof of insurance.

 Suspicious Vehicle, 4:50 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Subjects left when the bartender asked them to and before deputy arrived.

Traffic Stop, 9:37 p.m., Highway 226, Stayton. Male, 52, of Lyons arrested for two outstanding warrants and issued a citation for driving while suspended violation.

 DEC. 30

Shots Heard, 12:09 a.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Deputy investigated a shooting complaint. Deputy unable to locate source of noise.

 Suspicious Vehicle, 3:59 a.m., Shelburn Drive, Scio. Subject was stopped to let his dog relieve itself.

 Suspicious Person, 9:46 a.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Deputy located reported person and told them to move along. Nothing criminal.

 Suspicious Circumstance, 1:22 p.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Possible email scam.

Traffic Stop, 6:31 p.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to obey a traffic control device.

 JAN. 1

Hit and Run, 11:32 a.m., SE Ivy Street, Mill City. No property was damaged. Deputies took report.

 JAN. 2

DUII, 1:06 a.m., Stayton-Scio Road, Scio. Male, 21, of Scio arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving.

 Dog Complaint, 8:50 a.m., SE Kingwood and SE Fourth avenues, Mill City. Dog at large. Deputy unable to locate.

Traffic Stop, 2:06 p.m., Elm and Seventh streets, Lyons. Driver warned for speed.

Elude, 6:56 p.m., Ninth Street, Lyons. Male, 34, of Stayton arrested after eluding in a vehicle and on foot through Main Street. He was also arrested on multiple felony warrants.

 JAN. 3

Dog Complaint, 1:47 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Caller had questions about collecting evidence needed for a nuisance barking complaint.

 Mental Health, 6:19 p.m., Main Street.
