Illegal Camping, 11:25 a.m., Monument Peak and Gates School roads, Gates. Illegal hunting camp at Monument Peak Trailhead. Campers were directed to places camping was allowed.

Motorist Assist, noon, SW Broadway Street/SW Third Avenue, Mill City. Vehicle into ditch.

Traffic Complaint, 12:13 p.m., SW Sixth Avenue/Highway 226, Scio. Caller requested extra patrol for school traffic.

Suspicious Circumstances, 4:51 p.m., N Main Street, Scio. Caller concerned about two trucks parked in front of a local company.

Theft, 7:53 p.m., Manitau Road, Stayton. Report of theft of approximately 130 Oxycodone pills.

Domestic Disturbance, 9:58 p.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Domestic between family members. No crimes.

Extra Patrol, 11:42 p.m., Ridge Drive, Scio. Extra patrol at a residence.

Criminal Mischief, 12:22 p.m., SE Myrtle Street, Mill City. Caller concerned about small amounts of vandalism near the front of her property.

Extra Patrol, 1:01 p.m., Ridge Drive, Scio. Extra patrol for bank-owned property for trespassers.

Suspicious Vehicle, 2:05 p.m., SE Church Street, Idanha. Deputy confirmed vehicle was not stolen.

Suicidal Subject, 3:53 p.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Deputies responded.

Suicidal Subject, 4:04 p.m., SE Cedar Street, Scio. Fire department handled it.

Civil Dispute, 4:20 p.m., Third Street, Scio. Non-criminal.

Traffic Stop, 4:29 p.m., Highway 226/Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Driver cited for driving while suspended violation, driving uninsured and careless driving.

Extra Patrol, 6:24 p.m., SW Swift Avenue, Mill City.

Traffic Stop, 7:43 p.m., Montgomery Drive, Scio. Driver cited for 112 MPH in 55 MPH zone and careless driving.

Warrant, 9:19 a.m., E Central Avenue, Gates. Female, 39, of Gates, was arrested on three outstanding warrants and lodged at Linn County Jail.

Abandoned Vehicle, 11:30 a.m., NW River Road, Mill City. Caller concerned about a possibly abandoned vehicle.

UEMV, 1:26 p.m., Jordan Road, Scio. Deputies spoke with citizen regarding unauthorized use of motor vehicle. No crimes reported.

Lost Property, 1:42 p.m., Highway 22, Idanha. Hunter reported losing his firearm in the forest. Anyone who locates a firearm and does not know who it belongs to should turn it into the Linn County Sheriff’s Office or the primary law enforcement agency for the area which it was located.

Noise Disturbance, 11:13 a.m., SW Douglas Street/SW Fifth Avenue, Mill City. Caller with a noise complaint.

Death Investigation, 1:19 p.m., Meritt Road, Scio. Deputies investigated the natural death of an male, 84.

DHS Referral, 4:34 p.m., Zurfluh Road, Scio. DHS cross report on previously investigated incident.

Suspicious Circumstances, 5:02 p.m., Kingston-Jordan Road/Valley View Drive, Scio. Citizen reported person getting mail out of mailbox. It was the owner retrieving their own mail.

Mental Health, 7:21 p.m., Jordan Road, Scio. Female struggling with mental health. Info documented.

Traffic Stop, 10:22 p.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for expired tags.

Accident, 11:42 p.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Non-injury. Deputies assisted.

Nov. 1

Traffic Stop, 6:05 a.m., Main and 21st streets, Lyons. Driver warned for lighting issue.

Traffic Stop, 9:53 a.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Warrant, 10:24 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Male, 37, of Mill City, was cited in lieu of custody for an outstanding warrant.

Welfare Check, 10:41 a.m., Dogwood Street, Lyons. Caller called back and subject was OK and did not need assistance.

Dog Complaint, 1:09 p.m., SW Dogwood Street, Scio. Deputies addressed complaint of nuisance barking with dog owner/keeper who responded to correct the issue.

DHS Referral, 2:10 p.m., NW First Avenue, Scio. DHS cross report regarding an incident at a school which will be handled internally.

Traffic Stop, 2:40 p.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Driver cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured.

Traffic Stop, 3:05 p.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Driver warned for no front plate.

Welfare Check, 3:35 p.m., Larwood Drive, Scio. Male was in good health and spirits.

Welfare Check, 7:03 p.m., E Bilyeu Creek Drive, Scio. All parties are OK and feel safe.

Search and Rescue, 8:24 p.m., Thomas Creek Drive, Scio. Stuck motorist on BLM road. Deputies were able to pull the vehicle free and occupants drove home.

Traffic Hazard, 8:37 p.m., Jefferson-Scio Drive, Scio. Deputy moved items from the road.

Shots Heard, 8:46 p.m., Hungry Hill Drive, Scio. Deputy responded.

Noise Disturbance, 11:31 p.m., N Main Street, Scio. Deputy responded to noise complaint and requested the people stop making noise.

Nov. 2

Extra Patrol, 8:18 a.m., Rock Creek Road, Gates. Deputy conducted patrol of local forest roads.

Trespass, 8:31 a.m., E McCully Mountain Drive, Lyons. Trespassers were gone prior to deputies’ arrival.

Warrant, 8:53 a.m., Valley View Drive, Scio. Male was not located.

Trespass, 10:07 a.m., Lulay Road, Scio. Custody issue. Non-criminal.

Lost Property, 12:05 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Female lost wallet at local business. Female called back and advised wallet was returned and everything was in it.

Civil Dispute, 12:13 p.m., NE First Avenue, Scio. Caller concerned about a fence falling over onto her easement. Ongoing civil matter.

Narcotics Offense, 1:22 p.m., E Bilyeu Creek Drive, Scio. After further inspection, deputy determined the items were not drugs.

Traffic Stop, 5:53 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver cited for 60 MPH in 40 MPH zone.

Disabled Vehicle, 6:34 p.m., Montgomery Drive, Scio. Help was on the way. Deputy put out flares.

Assist Other Agency, 6:57 p.m., Stayton-Scio Road, Stayton. Deputy assisted another agency by taking photographs of juvenile’s bruised face.
