Serving the communities of Mill City, Scio, Lyons, Mehama, Gates, Detroit, and Idanha

Letter to the Editor: Thank you for all the help

Randy Mickey

On behalf of Fairview Cemetery Association, I want to thank the individuals who volunteered Saturday, May 18, to make our cemetery workday a success.

In addition, I want to thank the Fairview Cemetery Association Board (Dan Lemke, Melody Munger, Karen Baker, Mary Jenkins, Gary Henness, Mike Ohrt) and our local 4-H for staffing the cemetery over Memorial Day weekend.

A big thank you also to American Legion members Bruce Brunstad, James Ely, Toby Fencl, Mark Smith, Dave White, and others who faithfully place flags, annually, on veterans’ graves.

Not only does each and every one of your efforts support Fairview Cemetery, but our community as a whole. Thank you so much for your willingness to donate your time and resources.

Randy Mickey, president, Fairview Cemetery Association Board
