Traffic Stop, 3:57 a.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to obey traffic control device.

Traffic Stop, 4:08 a.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to obey traffic control device.

Theft, 7:59 a.m., W Scio Road, Scio. Reported theft of $400 worth of items.

Animal Complaint, 9:27 a.m., Shilling Drive, Scio. Deputy conducted welfare check on animals.

Dog Complaint, 9:52 a.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City.

Fraud, 12:50 p.m., SW Fourth Avenue, Mill City. Person fell for online scam and sent several hundred dollars to suspects on the phone.

Welfare Check, 2:06 p.m., E Gates Bridge, Gates.

Assist Other Agency, 6:30 p.m., Miller Cemetery Road, Scio. Deputies checked area for missing person and were unable to locate.

Welfare Check, 7:25 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Deputies attempted a welfare check on male who was located by the caller at a later time.

Traffic Complaint, 7:38 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Driving complaint. Deputies unable to locate vehicle.

Traffic Stop, 9:28 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to renew registration.

911 Hang-up, 12:12 a.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Medical call. LSCO assistance was not needed.

Extra Patrol, 3:16 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park.

Traffic Stop, 4:09 a.m., NE Ash Street/NE Fourth Avenue, Scio. Driver cited for speed.

Traffic Stop, 4:36 a.m., NE Ash Street/NE Fourth Avenue, Scio. Driver warned for speed.

Traffic Stop, 4:57 a.m., N Main Street, Scio. Driver cited for operating a vehicle without driving privileges.

Traffic Stop, 5:38 a.m., N Main Street, Scio. Driver warned for failure to renew registration.

Burglary, 10:11 a.m., River Loop Road, Lyons. Report of multiple items stolen from property. Ongoing investigation.

Abandoned Vehicle, 10:35 a.m., NE Alder Street, Mill City. Report of a vehicle in the area. Deputies were unable to locate.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle, 6:11 p.m., Trask Road/Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Deputies recovered stolen vehicle out of Salem.

Extra Patrol, 6:12 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Deputies attended City Council meeting.

Traffic Stop, 9:23 p.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Female, 53, of Scio was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody on a Linn County Justice Court warrant. Female was also cited for driving uninsured and driving while suspended violation. Another female, 49, of Sweet Home was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody on a Linn County Justice Court warrant.

Theft, 10:03 p.m., Rodgers Mountain Loop, Scio. Vehicle sold without owner’s permission. Vehicle was returned. Ongoing investigation.

Traffic Stop, 11:50 p.m., N Main Street, Scio. Driver cited for driving uninsured.

March 13

Traffic Stop, 12:11 a.m., NE Alder Street, Mill City. Driver warned for unsignaled right-hand turn.

Extra Patrol, 12:35 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park.

Traffic Stop, 1:04 a.m., S First Avenue/SE Grove Street, Mill City. Female, 38, of Gates was arrested for her Mill City and Linn County warrants, and cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and failure to register vehicle.

Theft, 3:18 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Report of theft of stereo and amplifier from broken-down vehicle.

Extra Patrol, 11:13 a.m., SW Sixth Avenue, Scio. Deputies spent time patrolling all city streets and areas of Scio, contacting citizens along the way.

Abandoned Vehicle, 11:28 a.m., SW Fifth Avenue, Scio. Deputy tagged a long-parked vehicle as abandoned and contacted owner, who was not the registered owner, advising him it needed to move ASAP.

Arson Investigation, 12:17 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Deputy responded to a report of a vehicle on fire at the Upper Neal Creek rock pit on BLM land. Deputies arrested male, 30, of Keizer for arson in the first degree, unlawful possession of methamphetamine (felony) and attempt to deliver a controlled substance. Also arrested was female, 28, of Albany for unlawful possession of methamphetamine (felony), attempt to deliver a controlled substance, unlawful entry into a motor vehicle.

Traffic Complaint, 1:56 p.m., Gilkey Road, Scio. Deputy responded to a traffic hazard.

Criminal Mischief, 7:07 p.m., Main and Eighth streets, Lyons. Caller reported their window was shot out. It appeared to be possibly a rock or BB caused the damage and not a firearm.

Accident, 9:15 p.m., Gates School Road, Gates. Car left the road and drove across the grass. Driver left her info for the church to contact her.

Missing Person, 9:53 p.m., Goar Road, Scio. Juvenile ran away from home. Ongoing investigation.

March 14

Suspicious Vehicle, 12:15 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Deputy contacted occupant of vehicle parked in strange location. Subject ran out of gas.

Suspicious Circumstances, 2:41 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Report of door to residence open. Deputies checked the residence and found the glass door was actually closed but appeared open from afar.

Found Person, 9:38 a.m., Gilkey Road, Scio. Deputy responded to a found juvenile and took her back to her guardians.

Traffic Complaint, 10:05 a.m., NE Ash Street/NE Fourth Avenue, Scio. Deputy responded to traffic hazand, found no vehicles speeding through the area.

Dog Complaint, 10:29 a.m., SW Dogwood Street, Scio. Dog owner issued written warning for dog violations.

Civil Dispute, 10:35 a.m., Dogwood Street, Lyons. Caller was given limited permission to be on the property to fix and remove an RV.

Juvenile Complaint, 1:55 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Caller’s dependent driving with no permission.

Phone Harassment, 3:23 p.m., SE Ivy Street, Mill City. Caller reported a Facebook commentator.

Criminal Mischief, 5:16 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Juveniles contacted after a criminal mischief call regarding a BB gun.

Domestic Disturbance, 11:07 p.m., W Main Street, Lyons. Verbal only. No crimes.

March 15

Motorist Assist, 12 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Deputies contacted vehicle with hazards on. Occupants advised they did not need assistance.

DUII, 7:57 p.m., Main and 15th streets, Lyons. Driving complaint relayed from OSP. No deputies in the area.

Traffic Stop, 9:30 p.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to renew registration.

Extra Patrol, 9:59 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park.

Suspicious Circumstances, 10:01 p.m., NE Santiam Pointe Loop, Mill City. Deputy was unable to locate suspicious light seen near the river.

Assist Other Agency, 10:26 p.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Assisted medics to make sure elderly patient was not violent prior to medics entering scene.

Traffic Stop, 11:10 p.m., SW Linn Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for improper display.

March 16

Suspicious Vehicle, 12:06 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Suspicious vehicle warned of trespassing at cemetery after hours.

Juvenile Complaint, 12:12 a.m., SW Dogwood Street, Scio. Ding-dong-ditching juveniles. Deputies searched the area but the kids appeared to have returned home.

Mental Health, 2:37 p.m., Gilkey Road, Scio. Male reporting things that did not make sense. Portlander was having mental health issues.

Found Property, 3:55 p.m., Franklin Butte Road/Highway 226, Scio. Found phone returned to owner.

Accident, 4:28 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Motorcycle rear-ended car. Female was issued a citation for driving uninsured. Male was issued a citation for careless driving.

Domestic Disturbance, 7:41 p.m., Shimanek Bridge Drive, Scio. Deputy investigated dispute between people living in same home. No crimes reported.

Domestic Disturbance, 8:11 p.m., Birch Street, Lyons. Person, 29, of Lyons was arrested for harassment – domestic (x3).

March 17

Extra Patrol, 2:34 a.m., N Main Street, Scio. Scio High. Nothing suspicious found.

Emergency Message, 9:30 a.m., Kelly Road, Scio. Deputy to give emergency message but was canceled before arrival.

Theft, 11:15 a.m., Hess Road, Scio. Caller reported his firearm went missing around 2/14/24. Caller is unable to locate the firearm in his vehicles or residence. The serial number will be obtained from the gun shop and listed in LEDS.

Overdose, 12:52 p.m., Shilling Drive, Scio. A female was found by her children as unresponsive. Medics were called. Eventually female became violent and police were called by medics. Female was coaxed out of her house and claimed she had a prescription medication issue, not drug issue. Female agreed to go to the hospital with her boyfriend as an alternative. DHS was called concerning the children. Female acted out and damaged hospital property, and was arrested and released by Albany Police.

Assault, 4:06 p.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Two males were in a verbal altercation that progressed into one of the males beating the other. Injured male is choosing to not press charges against his neighbor. Both parties were told to be civil, to not have any contact with the other, and that future issues might lead to an arrest.

Found Property, 5:07 p.m., Dogwood Street, Lyons. Deputy returned found property to its owners.

Suspicious Circumstances, 5:40 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Caller reported person having intercourse inside vehicle while parked in a store parking lot.

Civil Dispute, 6:19 p.m., Shelburn Drive, Scio. Deputy advised property owner of process to have someone evicted.

Suspicious Vehicle, 7:04 p.m., Shoreline Drive, Lyons. Deputy unable to locate.

Extra Patrol, 8:38 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Extra patrol at closed businesses until power was restored.

Cougar Sighting, 10:18 p.m., E Gates Bridge/Green Mountain Road, Gates. Report of cougar growling near a campsite. Cougar was believed to have moved on without intervention.

Suspicious Circumstances, 11:33 p.m., Shilling Drive, Scio. Deputies attempted to locate suspected DUII.

March 18

Extra Patrol, 3:05 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park. Nothing suspicious found.

Traffic Stop, 4:19 a.m., NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended violation and no IID installed.
