Welfare Check, 8:39 a.m., Highway 226, Scio.

Accident, 10:22 a.m., Stayton-Scio Road/Brock Drive, Scio. Single-vehicle crash with minor injuries. No citations issued.

Welfare Check, 1:47 p.m., SE Second Avenue, Scio. Deputy checked on male seated outside fuel station. Male said he was good and needed nothing.

Traffic Stop, 2:15 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver cited for driving uninsured and warned for failure to register vehicle.

Traffic Hazard, 3:37 p.m., Rodgers Mountain Loop, Scio. Disabled vehicle waiting for a tow vehicle.

Traffic Hazard, 5:35 p.m., Kingston-Lyons Drive/Highway 226, Stayton. Deputies drove the area and cleared the road from as many downed tree parts as possible. Road department advised.

Jan. 17

Burglary, 11:24 a.m., Dogwood Road, Mill City. Deputies responded to possible theft and took report.

Pocket Dial, 12:28 p.m., Mad Creek Road, Gates. Deputies responded to 911 hangup. The ping location was more than 3,500 meter. Deputies had no further information to locate possible caller.

Accident, 1:59 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive/Highway 226, Scio. Deputies reported crash that occurred due to ice.

Welfare Check, 3:17 p.m., NW Second Avenue/N Main Street, Scio. Deputies conducted welfare check on homeless male in cold weather. Male refused any ride to shelter.

Traffic Hazard, 4:06 p.m., Cole School Road/Sandner Drive, Scio. Deputies responded to abandoned vehicle. Vehicle was towed by owner.

Hit and Run, 6:09 p.m., Main Street, Lyons.

Warrant, 7:33 p.m., Main and 10th streets, Lyons. Male, 51, of Lebanon was cited in lieu of custody for an outstanding warrant.

Traffic Hazard, 10:39 p.m., Oupor Drive, Scio.

Jan. 18

Extra Patrol, 5:16 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park. Nothing suspicious.

Traffic Stop, 9:17 a.m., NE Wall Street, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to obey traffic control device.

Forest Timber Patrol, 9:19 a.m., Larwood Drive/Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Patrol of BLM land. Multiple trees blocking road.

Extra Patrol, 9:50 a.m., SW Evergreen Street, Mill City. Extra patrols around local schools.

Traffic Stop, 1:15 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for expired registration.

Abandoned Vehicle, 2:50 p.m., S McCully Mountain Road, Lyons. Reported abandoned vehicle on BLM. Deputy arrived and the owner was on scene. Vehicle was stuck in a ditch. Deputy was able to winch the vehicle out.

Dog Complaint, 3:36 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Deputy transported stray dog the Animal Control.

Welfare Check, 5:50 p.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputies conducted welfare check on elderly male. Male was okay and did not need assistance.

Traffic Stop, 6:51 p.m., N First Avenue/NE Wall Street, Mill City. Driver warned for moving violation.

Traffic Stop, 7:35 p.m., SE Kinwood and SE Third avenues, Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Traffic Stop, 9:09 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive/Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Extra Patrol, 10:43 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park. Nothing suspicious.

Traffic Stop, 11:05 p.m., SE Fifth Avenue/SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended.

Traffic Stop, 11:22 p.m., SW Kingwood Avenue/SW Tuers Lane, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended and failure to provide proof of insurance.

Mental Health, 2:18 a.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City.

Domestic Disturbance, 2:28 a.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Disturbance between male and female. Female had outstanding warrant for her arrest and was issued a citation in lieu of custody. No other crimes reported.

Traffic Stop, 5:04 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd./NW Seventh Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for lighting violation.

Traffic Stop, 5:18 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd./NW Fifth Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Traffic Hazard, 5:45 a.m., E Gates Bridge, Gates. Deputies removed several large branches out of the road.

Forest Timber Patrol, 7:17 a.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Very few people seen. Snow/ice on the road around MP 5 and beyond.

Traffic Stop, 10:10 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver warned for failure to singal turn.

Traffic Stop, 10:36 a.m., N First Avenue/NW Alder Street, Mill City. Driver warned for improper display.

Traffic Stop, 11:53 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended violation and driving uninsured. Driver was warned for failure to register vehicle.

Extra Patrol, 1:31 p.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Mari-Linn School.

Assist Other Agency, 1:42 p.m., Stayton-Scio and Kingston-Jordan roads, Stayton. Deputies checked area for possible DUII driver.

Traffic Stop, 3:01 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Driver warned for improper display.

Traffic Stop, 3:16 p.m., Trask Road, Lyons. Driver cited for driving while suspended violation and driving uninsured.

Extra Patrol, 4:14 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park. Nothing suspicious.

Dog Complaint, 4:24 p.m., Stayton-Scio Road, Scio. Deputies transported stray dog to Animal Control.

Forest Timber Patrol, 4:50 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Contact made with dirt bike rider. Rider had valid permit and safety card.

Domestic Disturbance, 6:55 p.m., Cole School Road, Scio. Male, 42, of Scio was arrested for harassment and failure to register as a sex offender.

Jan. 20

Civil Dispute, 12:25 a.m., Oupor Drive, Scio. Deputy spoke with female regarding civil problems.

Domestic Disturbance, 1:47 a.m., SE Second Avenue, Mill City. Deputy responded to a domestic disturbance and found no crimes.

Suspicious Vehicle, 7:40 a.m., Hungry Hill Drive, Scio. Deputy checked on vehicle parked on the side of the road. It belonged to duck hunters in a nearby field.

Suspicious Vehicle, 7:43 a.m., Robinson Drive, Scio. Vehicle on country right of way was tagged for removal. Vehicle was removed prior to deputies’ return.

Suspicious Person, 7:44 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Deputy warned male of trespassing from business property.

Abandoned Vehicle, 8:20 a.m., Shelburn and Slangal drives, Scio. Abandoned vehicle owner was contacted and was enroute to remove the vehicle.

Welfare Check, 9:33 a.m., N Main Street, Scio. Welfare check on transient male. Male had been checked on several times, including once today. Male always denies assistance.

Traffic Stop, 10:54 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for improper display.

Traffic Stop, 12:01 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended violation.

Traffic Stop, 12:30 p.m., SE Hazel Street/SE Fourth Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for failure to carry proof of insurance.

Domestic Disturbance, 11:09 p.m., SE Second Avenue, Mill City. Argument. Non-criminal matter.

Jan. 21

Motorist Assist, 8:01 a.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Deputies stopped to assist a standed motorist.

Traffic Stop, 8:50 a.m., NE Fourth Avneue, Scio. Driver warned for speed.

Animal Complaint, 9:32 a.m., N Main Street, Scio. Deputies spoke with dog owner regarding a dog at large incident. Dog owner was warned.

Traffic Stop, 9:44 a.m., Jefferson-Scio Drive, Scio. Driver cited for failure to renew vehicle registration.

Animal Complaint, 1:38 p.m., Hungry Hill Drive, Scio. Caller reported sheep in the road. Deputies were unable to locate.

Suspicious Vehicle, 1:52 p.m., SW Cedar Street, Mill City. Deputies investigated suspiciously parked vehicle at school. Discovered it was custodian’s vehicle.

Traffic Stop, 2:14 p.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Driver warned for improper lighting.

Traffic Stop, 2:21 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to obey traffic control device.

Traffic Hazard, 2:27 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Traffic hazard moved out of road.

Traffic Stop, 2:33 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Male, 29, of Scio was arrested on a Marion County Circuit Court warrant and a Benton County Circuit Court warrant.

Jan. 22

Extra Patrol, 8:35 a.m., SW Evergreen Street, Mill City. Extra patrol of schools and the park.

Traffic Stop, 9:10 a.m., NE Wall Street/N First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to obey traffic controld device.

Assist Other Agency, 9:54 a.m., SW Cedar Street, Mill City. Deputies gather information for DHS regarding ongoing investigation. Jurisdiction of incident falls within Marion County.

Traffic Stop, 1 p.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to stop at stop sign.

Traffic Stop, 1:07 p.m., NE Wall Street, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to obey traffic control device.

Welfare Check, 1:14 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Deputies conducted welfare check on elderly male and were able to locate a ride for him to the hospital to be seen about a prior injury.

Traffic Stop, 1:20 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to obey traffic control device.

Shots Heard, 3:37 p.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputies investigated possible shooting that occurred on county road.

Neighborhood Dispute, 4:35 p.m., Crabtree Drive, Scio. Caller reported neighbor having an abundance of trash that continues to blow on to his property.

Suspicious Vehicle, 5:15 p.m., Hungry Hill Drive, Scio. Deputies located vehicle alongside road with no plates and scratched off VIN. Ongoing investigation.

Dog Complaint, 9:05 p.m., Stayton-Scio Loop, Scio. Male called to have dog complaint documented.

Welfare Check, 11:14 p.m., Shelburn Drive, Scio. Deputies responded to address only to find it vacant.
