Civil Dispute, 11:08 a.m., Gilkey Road, Scio. Deputy responded to a civil report.

Phone Harassment, 3:06 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputy responded to a phone harassment report.

Juvenile Complaint, 3:45 p.m., SW Evergreen Street, Mill City. Deputy spoke with caller about issues their child is having at school. Nothing criminal.

Suspicious Circumstances, 3:51 p.m., N Main Street, Scio. Citizen reported a juvenile with a pistol on his hip at a local store. Deputy learned the person in question was 18 years old and had not done anything illegal. Deputy spoke with the young man about firearm safety.

Traffic Stop, 9:02 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Driver cited for driving uninsured.

Suspicious Vehicle, 9:11 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Deputies checked on a person sleeping in their vehicle. The person was okay, just attempted to nap before a long drive.

Shots Heard, 9:31 p.m., E Bilyeu Creek Drive, Scio. Deputies checked the area and were unable to locate anything suspicious.

Extra Patrol, 10:19 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park.

Missing Persons, 10:46 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Elderly female with dementia was found and returned to her house.’

Nov. 21

Traffic Stop, 12:18 a.m., S First Avenue/SE Ivy Street, Mill City. Driver cited for driving uninsured, operating with driving privileges and failure to display plate.

Extra Patrol, 1:15 a.m., Neal Park Road, Lyons. John Neal Park.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle, 9:58 a.m., Highway 22, Gates. Deputies recovered a stolen vehicle. Ongoing investigation.

Forest Timber Patrol, 1:37 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Not too busy. One shooter in the area contacted.

Welfare Check, 2:25 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Deputies checked on an elderly male after a welfare check was called in. The male was okay and did not require any assistance.

Domestic Disturbance, 2:34 p.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Verbal disturbance between female juvenile and step-father. Parties separated to cool down.

Forest Law Violation, 2:48 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Moved boulders back blocking vehicle access to WeyCo rock pit on Upper Neal Creek.

Traffic Complaint, 3:38 p.m., Richardson Gap Road/Highway 226, Scio. Deputies responded.

Traffic Stop, 11:18 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Traffic Stop, 11:47 p.m., SW Linn Blvd., Mill City. Vehicle stopped because it showed expired insurance. Driver provided current proof of insurance.

Fraud, 11 a.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Caller reported falling victim to a popular phone scam involving purchasing and sending gift cards.

Civil Dispute, 6:46 p.m., Kapok Street, Lyons. Deputy spoke with caller about custody issues. Nothing criminal.

Suspicious Person, 8:36 p.m., N Main Street, Scio. Deputies respond. Person was homeless and looking for a place to get out of the cold. Deputies provided a ride to a train station at person’s request.

Traffic Stop, 8:39 p.m., NW Ninth Avenue/NW Alder Street, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended violation and driving uninsured.

Sex Offense, 12:14 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Deputies are investigating.

Weapon Offense, 12:53 p.m., Ash Lane, Lyons.

Criminal Mischief, 2:01 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Deputy responded to report of criminal mischief at the cemetery. Five headstones were damaged. Estimated $7000 in damage.

Traffic Stop, 7:50 p.m., Stayton-Scio Road, Scio. Driver cited for driving while suspended violation and driving uninsured.

Traffic Stop, 9:37 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to register vehicle.

Accident, 1:02 a.m., Jordan Road/Thomas Drive, Scio. Crash with injuries. No crimes at this time.

Assist Other Agency, 8:16 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Deputy checked on an unoccupied vehicle off the road and advised the proper agency.

Forest Timber Patrol, 9:19 a.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Two vehicles contacted about parking.

Accident, 10:46 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Non-injury crash. Driver cited for driving uninsured.

Dog Bite, 11:39 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Deputy responded. Dog will be quarantined.

Forest Timber Patrol, 11:45 a.m., Rock Creek Road, Gates.

DUII, 11:55 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Male, 43, of Lyons was arrested for DUII and reckless driving.

Accident, 4:28 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Non-injury crash.

Traffic Stop, 9:13 p.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Driver warned for failure to renew registration.

Suspicious Person, 10:18 p.m., NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Male contacted on closed business property and advised to move along.

Traffic Stop, 10:40 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended violation and failure to carry proof of insurance.

Warrant, 10:58 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Male, 40, of Stayton was arrested for his Marion County Circuit Court warrant.

Nov. 27

Traffic Stop, 11:07 a.m., SW Second Avenue/SW Cedar Street, Mill City. Driver warned for rear license plate not being visible.

Welfare Check, noon, Lulay Road, Scio. Everybody was alright.

Extra Patrol, 1:20 p.m., SW Cedar Street, Mill City. Deputies walked around the school and talked with students.

Dog Complaint, 2:53 p.m., Old Gilkey Road, Scio. Deputy located a stray dog and was able to return it to owner. Warning issued.

Extra Patrol, 3:07 p.m., SW Evergreen Street, Mill City. Santiam Elementary when students were being let out.

Traffic Stop, 3:36 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for 45 MPH in 25 MPH zone.

Assist Other Agency, 3:44 p.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Report of a house fire. Deputy responded and found a chimney fire. Deputy ensured people were out and assisted with getting the fire down until Mill City Fire arrived.
