Traffic Stop, 11:01 a.m., N Main Street, Scio. Driver warned for failure to register vehicle and window tint.

Assault, 1:01 p.m., SW Cedar Street, Mill City. Deputy responded to fight between two teenagers.

Forest Timber Patrol, 2:27 p.m., Rock Creek Road, Gates.

Robbery, 8:57 p.m., SW Fourth Avenue, Mill City. Two juveniles from Mill City were arrested on charges of robbery and assault.

Oct. 25

Bike Traffic, 9:52 a.m., S First Avenue/SE Whitten Road, Mill City. Bicyclist warned for no signaling for turns.

Extra Patrol, 3:17 p.m., SW Evergreen Street, Mill City. Extra patrol for school release.

Assist Other Agency, 5:45 p.m., NW Alder Street, Scio. Deputies attempted to locate individual regarding DHS investigation.

Extra Patrol, 1:14 a.m., SW Evergreen Street, Mill City. Deputies conducted extra patrols at local schools.

Extra Patrol, 1:38 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Deputies conducted extra patrols at Mill City parks.

Extra Patrol, 2:35 a.m., NE Wall Street, Mill City. Deputies conducted extra patrols at local businesses.

Theft, 11:47 a.m., Elm Street, Lyons. Stolen firearm.

Welfare Check, 12:08 p.m., SW Beech Street, Scio. 

Traffic Hazard, 2:22 p.m., Highway 226/Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Vehicle in roadway.

Theft, 2:30 p.m., Schindler Bridge Drive, Scio. Caller reported a civil issue.

Civil Dispute, 3:18 p.m., Gray Pine Street, Lyons.

Disturbance, 6 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Deputies spoke to individuals by phone regarding roommate issue.

Disturbance, 6:42 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Mill City. Deputies spoke to individual regarding issue involving his mother.

Assist Other Agency, 8:29 p.m., N Highway 22, Gates. Deputies assisted Marion County with possibly critical incident.

Business Check, 12:04 a.m., NW Second Avenue, Mill City. Deputies conducted business check at open business.

Business Check, 1:55 a.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Deputies conducted business checks at barbershop, churches, schools, restaurants, post office.

Extra Patrol, 2:19 a.m., SE Sixth Avenue, Mill City. Deputies conducted extra patrol at park. Did not locate any illegal campers.

Extra Patrol, 2:23 a.m., SW Evergreen Street, Mill City. Deputies patrolled local schools.

Animal Complaint, 8:13 a.m., Shilling Drive, Scio. Four cows were loose and eventually led back to their property.

Domestic Disturbance, 9:56 a.m., Crabtree Drive, Scio. Subject, 46, of Crabtree was cited for a warrant.

Trespass, 10:57 a.m., Kingwood Avenue, Gates. Caller reported a female coming onto the property. Ongoing issue.

Found Property, 11:18 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Deputy located owner of found wallet and returned it to him.

Theft, 12:25 p.m., Garden Drive, Scio. Deputy took a report of unauthorized entry into motor vehicle at Scio Middle School. $150 worth of items were stolen.

Welfare Check, 2:25 p.m., Ridge Drive, Scio. Deputy spoke with caller about custody agreement.

Accident, 3:10 p.m., Rodgers Mountain Loop/Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Deputy responded to a single-vehicle, non-injury crash. Vehicle was towed from the scene.

Custodial Interference, 4:59 p.m., SW 10th Avenue, Mill City. Caller had questions about civil issue of custody of his daughter. Non-criminal.

Accident, 5:47 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Non-injury motor vehicle crash.

Stolen Vehicle, 8:21 p.m., SE Cedar Avenue, Idanha. Deputy listed a borrowed vehicle, which was kept past the agreed time of use, as stolen.

Juvenile Complaint, 9:18 p.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Deputies contacted a person reporting several juveniles kept ding-dong-ditching his door, causing damage to the screen door. Reporter did not wish to pursue charges.

Oct. 28

Forest Timber Patrol, 7:27 a.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Deputy checked Avery’s Radio Tower and noticed fresh tire marks around the gate. Deputy was unable to locate anyone behind the gate.

Park Patrol, 8:02 a.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Bilyeu Den Park.

Suspicious Vehicle, 9:06 a.m., Zurfluh Road, Scio. Deputy responded and checked on a vehicle parked in the area. Occupants were believed to be hunting.

Dog Complaint, 10:30 a.m., N Main Street, Scio. Helped get a loose dog home.

Traffic Complaint, 12:20 p.m., Highway 22, Idanha. Caller reported multiple side-by-sides going past a gate south of Detroit Dam. Deputy was unable to locate suspects but noticed tire tracks near the 612 Ritters Road gate. Suspects were accessing the road from a partially blocked road just south of the gate.

Traffic Stop, 2:58 p.m., Kingston-Lyons Drive. Driver warned for speed.

Police Officer Hold, 4:53 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Deputies took a male to the hospital who seemed to be suffering with severe hallucinations. Admitted to the hospital.

Animal Complaint, 6:19 p.m., E Bilyeu Creek Drive, Scio. Multiple cows were reported to be out. Cows were gone on deputy’s arrival.

Mental Health, 9:21 p.m., Ridge Drive, Scio. Deputy spoke with caller about their ongoing issues with mental health. Nothing criminal.

Oct. 29

Traffic Stop, 12 a.m., Kingwood Avenue, Gates. Driver warned for failure to register vehicle.

Extra Patrol, 12:21 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park.

Animal Complaint, 11:58 a.m., E Bilyeu Creek Drive, Scio. Deputy responded to a report of loose cows. The owner of the cows was unable to be located and the cows could not be contained. Animal Control notified.

Traffic Complaint, 1:17 p.m., Kingston-Jordan Road/Highway 226, Scio. Deputy spoke to caller about traffic complaint.

Traffic Hazard, 2:17 p.m., Hess Road, Scio. A motorhome was abandoned upon a public right of way and was towed.

Traffic Stop, 2:22 p.m., Jefferson-Scio and Shelburn drives, Scio. Driver was cited for driving uninsured, expired tags and loud exhaust.

Warrant, 3:53 p.m., Rock Creek Road, Gates. Male, 51, of Salem was cited and released on a Marion County warrant.

Traffic Stop, 3:55 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Driver warned for expired registration.

Accident, 4:17 p.m., Rock Creek Road, Gates. Crash in Santiam State Forest. Driver cited for multiple traffic offenses including no license and no insurance.

Traffic Stop, 4:49 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Driver cited for failure to renew vehicle registration and failure to install ignition interlock device.

Civil Dispute, 5:03 p.m., SW Cedar Street, Mill City. Deputy responded.

Animal Complaint, 5:04 p.m., E Bilyeu Creek Drive, Scio. Deputy reviewed information regarding cows. Animal Control had previously been notified.

Oct. 30

Burglary, 1:25 a.m., Jefferson-Scio Drive, Scio. Male, 58, of Salem was arrested for burglary, menacing, attempted unauthorized entry into motor vehicle, trespass, disorderly conduct, and criminal mischief. He was lodged at Linn County Jail.

Accident, 7:32 a.m., Cole School Road/Ridge Drive, Scio. Vehicle vs deer. Deer was deceased upon deputies’ arrival and vehicle had minimal damage.

Suspicious Vehicle, 8:41 a.m., Richardson Gap Road/Ridge Drive, Scio. Deputy located vehicle driven off the road due to ice.

Extra Patrol, 11:23 a.m., Rodgers Mountain Loop, Scio.

Traffic Stop, 12:40 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Warned for expired tags.

Suspicious Circumstances, 12:49 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Deputies assisted an elderly female back home.

Extra Patrol, 2:01 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City.

Dog Complaint, 4:40 p.m., Richardson Gap Road/Highway 226, Scio. Deputies attempted to capture a loose dog in road. However, dog eluded deputies and took off.

Motorist Assist, 5:26 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive/Cedar Mill Road, Lyons. Deputies checked on a broken down vehicle. Operator stated the vehicle was overheating and did not need any assistance.

DUII, 9:27 p.m., SW Third Avenue, Mill City. Deputies attempted to locate possible reckless driver. Deputies located vehicle but no one would come to the door when deputies attempted to make contact.

Traffic Stop, 9:30 p.m., N First Avenue/NE Wall Street, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to obey traffic control device.

Suspicious Person, 10:03 p.m., NE Alder Street, Mill City. Deputies check on individuals walking around Mill City at night.

Traffic Stop, 10:07 p.m., NE Wall Street/N First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to obey traffic control device.

Extra Patrol, 11:35 p.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Crime prevention patrols.

Extra Patrol, 1:10 a.m., SW Evergreen Street, Mill City. Crime prevention patrols.

Suspicious Person, 1:44 a.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Deputies contact male walking late at night.

Assist Other Agency, 2:19 a.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Deputies assisted Stayton Police Department with locating registered owner of possibly stolen vehicle.
