Extra Patrol, 8:24 a.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Mari-Linn School.

Suspicious Circumstances, 8:26 a.m., SE Myrtle Street, Mill City. Deputy documented a resident’s concern of a drone flying near their house after dark.

Dog Complaint, 10:27 a.m., Rodgers Mountain Loop, Scio. Dog owner issued written warning for nuisance barking and failure to license dogs.

Phone Harassment, 10:32 a.m., SE Third Avenue, Mill City. Deputy spoke with caller about potential phone harassment and civil issues with a family member.

Threats, 10:36 a.m., SW Cedar Street, Mill City. Juvenile complaint being handled by school.

Harassment, 12:43 p.m., SW Douglas Street, Mill City. Deputy spoke to caller about neighbor dispute.

Suspicious Circumstances, 12:54 p.m., SE Fourth Avenue, Mill City. Resident reported a drone flying last two evenings near their home.

Suspicious Circumstances, 2:50 p.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputy unable to locate suspicious circumstance.

Extra Patrol, 3:45 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park.

Lost Animal, 4:03 p.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Puppy in street was returned to owner.

Sept. 12

Suspicious Circumstances, 1:45 a.m., Greenway Drive, Gates. Caller had questions about unmanned aerial aircraft.

Criminal Mischief, 8:38 a.m., Locust Street, Lyons. Deputy took report of suspicious dents in metal doors of building.

Suspicious Person, 9:10 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Deputy checked on welfare of female walking between Lyons and Mill City. No help was wanted.

Welfare Check, 9:18 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons.

Domestic Disturbance, 10:39 a.m., SW Linn Place, Mill City. Deputy provided female a courtesy ride to hospital for mental health evaluation after a confrontation with family.

911 Hang Up, 12:06 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputy checked area and found nothing suspicious.

Accident, 2:17 p.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Single-vehicle injury crash.

Extra Patrol, 2:32 p.m., SW Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Caller reported speeding vehicles in the area with a large majority being log trucks. He requested extra patrol for traffic enforcement.

Extra Patrol, 2:42 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Request for extra patrol. Call printed for briefing board.

Welfare Check, 4:03 p.m., W Main Street, Lyons. Person was contacted and doing well.

Suspicious Vehicle, 4:28 p.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Suspicious vehicle found in field. Owner was contacted and was returning to retrieve vehicle. Nothing criminal.

Dog Complaint, 5:18 p.m., SE Fairview Street/SE Fourth Avenue, Mill City. Report was called in: multiple dogs in car. Vehicle departed prior to deputy’s arrival.

Welfare Check, 5:39 p.m., Hungry Hill Drive, Scio. Caller requested a welfare check on a family member. Person was already contacted and evaluated during a traffic crash investigation.

Missing Person, 5:42 p.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Deputy obtained information regarding a potential missing person. Family members were contacted and the alleged missing person has been contacted and there were no other concerns.

Forest Timber Patrol, 6:19 p.m., S McCully Mountain Road, Lyons. 

Assist Other Agency, 7:34 p.m., SE Fourth Avenue, Scio. Deputy assisted DHS with serving a court order.

Trespass, 7:49 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Caller reported people trespassing on property on Main Street.

Sept. 13

Suspicious Person, 3:06 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive/Mowitch Street, Lyons. Intoxicated female walking along the road. She was given a ride to Stayton per her request to avoid any issues.

Suspicious Person, 1:15 p.m., Stayton-Scio Road, Scio. Caller had unknown female with mental issues come on her porch. Caller gave her food and water, and female left. Deputy was unable to locate.

Trespass, 1:52 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Deputy investigated trespassing that occurred the previous night. Deputy attempted to locate female.

Trespass, 3:54 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Deputies spoke with individuals regarding trespass that occurred involving an individual having a mental health issue.

Found Dog, 6:50 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Deputies recover an abandoned puppy and transport it to Linn County Animal Control.

Suspicious Person, 11:55 p.m., NE Santiam Blvd./NE Alder Street, Mill City. Deputies contacted a male alongside the road. Male did not need deputy assistance and continued on his way.

Sept. 14

Park Patrol, 12:05 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park.

Traffic Stop, 1:05 a.m., N First Avenue/NE Wall Street, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended.

Extra Patrol, 3:10 a.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Deputies conducted traffic enforcement.

Traffic Stop, 5:58 a.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for moving violation.

Suspicious Person, 2:39 p.m., NW First Avenue, Scio. A suspicious and likely intoxicated male near grade school when the children were outside. Male was asked to leave by teachers, which he did. Deputy checked area and was unable to locate.

Harassment, 3:17 p.m., SE Second Avenue, Mill City. Caller reported a female was making threats over social media. Caller only wanted it documented at this time.

Trespass, 7:07 p.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputies attempted to locate person trespassing on Weyerhaeuser property.

Bike Traffic, 8 p.m., SW Fifth Avenue/SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Male, 59, of Mill City was arrested on an outstanding warrant and transported to Linn County Jail.

Domestic Disturbance, 11:56 p.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Male with possible mental health-related illnesses causing a disturbance at home. He was gone prior to deputy’s arrival; no crimes reported.

Sept. 15

Traffic Stop, 3:08 a.m., Fifth and Kapok streets, Lyons. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Extra Patrol, 3:42 a.m., NE Wall Street/N First Avenue, Mill City. Deputies conducted foot patrol around the Mill City walking bridge.

Traffic Stop, 4:21 a.m., SW Cedar Street/SW Third Avenue, Mill City. Subject, 40, of Corvallis was cited in lieu of custody for an outstanding warrant.

Traffic Stop, 4:46 a.m., S First Avenue/SW Cedar Street, Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Traffic Stop, 5:30 a.m., N First Avenue/NE Wall Street, Mill City. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Civil Dispute, 9:46 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Caller spoke with deputy about dusty road issue with neighbor.

Disorderly Conduct, 10:21 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Deputy responded to suspicious male yelling at people near a store. Male moved out of the area when deputy arrived.

Suspicious Circumstances, 12:01 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Complaint about drones flying near apartments. Deputies were unable to reach complainant.

Suspicious Person, 12:17 p.m., NW First Avenue, Scio. Extra patrol at dismissal for Centennial and Scio Middle schools.

Forest Timber Patrol, 6:39 p.m., Pyramid Ridge Road, Idanha. Located illegal camp.

Illegal Camping, 7:12 p.m., Pyramid Ridge Road, Idanha. Deputy contact two camp trailers set up on CTC property. All campers were polite and cooperative, and were in the area for upcoming Cascade deer season. All campers were unaware they were camped on private land. All advised they would pack up and move along.

Accident, 8:01 p.m., Kingwood Avenue, Gates. Vehicle vs calf elk. Occupants all fine. Elk was salvaged.

Trespass, 10:09 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Male was advised he was trespassed from business.

Sept. 16

Suspicious Person, 2:58 a.m., Gates School Road, Gates. Male called in for yelling. Male was identified but did not commit any crimes.

Theft, 10:06 a.m., Kingwood Avenue, Gates. Deputy took report of suspicious event where a car alarm went off and a male could be heard yelling.

Criminal Mischief, 10:20 a.m., NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Deputy took report. Ongoing investigation.

Suspicious Vehicle, 10:46 a.m., Xmas Tree Road, Gates. ODF reported nuisance campers near Monument Peak. Campers left prior to deputy’s arrival.

Foot Patrol, 12:27 p.m., N First Avenue, Mill City. Foot patrol under Mill City Bridge.

Foot Patrol, 12:54 p.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Foot patrol under Kingwood Bridge.

Park Patrol, 1:09 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park.

Suspicious Person, 1:19 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Mill City. Female, 29, of Mill City was arrested for her Linn County warrant and escape in the third degree.

Traffic Stop, 1:19 p.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Male, 55, of Salem was arrested for elude and reckless driving. He was also arrested and lodged at Linn County Jail for a parole violation warrant and two Linn County Circuit Court warrants. He was cited for driving while suspended violation and failure to provide proof of insurance.

Shots Heard, 1:51 p.m., Tuckwila Street, Lyons. Deputy spoke to caller regarding neighbors firing weapons on their own property.

Sept. 17

Suspicious Vehicle, 7:13 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Deputies unable to locate.

Welfare Check, 7:16 a.m., NW Alder Street, Scio. Ongoing investigation of allegations of child abuse.

Criminal Mischief, 10:39 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Deputies took a report of vandalism in bathrooms at John Neal Park and Camp Morrison Road.

Trespass, 10:44 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Male, 35, of Salem was arrested for criminal trespass 2 and criminal mischief 3.

Traffic Complaint, noon, SW 11th Avenue/Lyons-Mill City Drive, Mill City. Report of  a baby on the lap of vehicle operator. Deputies were unable to locate. 

Assault, 1:56 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Report of a male assaulting staff at a local store. No injuries reported. Staff was not interested in pressing charges but wanted male trespassed.
