Happy 100th Birthday!

Stella Cruson

On Aug. 14, with the temperature pushing 100 degree F, Josephine (Jo) Cruson officially turned 100 years old. She has lived in the Canyon for more than 80 of those years.

Her family celebrated her birthday on Aug. 12 at her son and daughter-in-law’s, Buddy and Stella Cruson, home. More than 30 people were in attendance including her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

“It was a joyous celebration with lots of laughter, fun and abundant food,” her daughter-in-law Stella said.

Cruson has received more than 125 birthday cards to date, and they are still coming in. She has always immensely enjoyed receiving greeting cards and keeps them to savor over and over again.

“She also is wonderful at sending cards, including note cards to her family and friends,” Stella said.
