Narcotics Offense, 5:26 p.m., Shoreline Drive, Lyons. Reported a fentanyl dealer in Linn County provided drugs to caller’s niece that put her in the hospital.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle, 8:47 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. LPD recovered stolen vehicle out of LCSO.

Extra Patrol, 11:17 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park.

Traffic Stop, 11:51 p.m., SE Fourth Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to renew registration.

Fraud, 8:09 a.m., Hillside Way, Scio. Woman sent $110 online for an iPhone she found on Facebook. She never received it.

Trespass, 9:42 a.m., Main Street, Lyons. Deputies contacted an RV that was unlawfully camping. The group stated they would be leaving that day.

Traffic Stop, 10:08 a.m., SW Broadway Street/SW Second Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended, failure to provide proof of insurance and failure to display plates.

Traffic Stop, 11:47 a.m., Cedar Mill Road/Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Driver cited for driving while suspended, and failure to renew vehicle registration.

Suspicious Person, 12:02 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Deputies contacted male who was loitering at a local business. Male was advised to move along.

Traffic Stop, 5:39 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver cited for 75 MPH in 55 MPH zone.

Traffic Stop, 6:07 p.m., Highway 226/Jordan Road, Scio. Driver cited for 75 MPH in 55 MPH zone.

Criminal Mischief, 6:52 p.m., Cole School Road, Scio. Window broken by a rock at residence. Information documented.

Traffic Stop, 8:47 p.m., N First Avenue/NE Wall Street, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to obey traffic control device.

Traffic Stop, 1:52 a.m., Trask Road/Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Driver warned for speed.

Shots Heard, 2:34 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Mill City. Deputies investigated incident involving unlawful use of a firearm.

Theft, 9:33 a.m., Freeman Road/Lombardy Drive, Scio. Items taken off farm equipment.

Motorist Assist, 10:23 a.m., Montgomery Drive, Scio. Driver pulled to the shoulder to use phone and vehicle slid into the ditch. Vehicle was towed out of ditch and was able to drive away.

Trespass, 1:02 p.m., Dogwood Road, Mill City. Male finally left private property after being told three times. 

Suspicious Circumstances, 8 p.m., Greenway Drive, Gates. Deputy documented suspicious circumstance on private property.

July 27

Extra Patrol, 1:51 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park.

Traffic Stop, 3:43 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for failure to renew registration.

Theft, 8:30 a.m., Crabtree Drive, Scio. Male reported he had small odds and ends stolen from inside his trailer. 

Warrant, 1:34 p.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Male, 55, arrested for two outstanding Linn County Circuit Court warrants.

Forest Timber Patrol, 2:30 p.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. 

Forest Timber Patrol, 6:46 p.m., Quartzville Road, Idanha. Located camp of littering suspect and left trash bags so they could clean up when suspect returned.

Trespass, 9:43 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Unable to locate people in park after hours.

Traffic Stop, 10:11 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for no tail or brake lights.

Traffic Stop, 10:47 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Driver warned for improper display.

Foot Patrol, 11:18 p.m., SW Evergreen Street, Mill City. 

Suspicious Person, 11:29 p.m., SW Cedar Street, Mill City. Suspicious person contacted at Santiam Jr./Sr. High. No crimes.

Suspicious Vehicle, 11:52 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Deputy attempted to assist stranded motorist. Motorist was waiting for family to come help.

July 28

Suspicious Circumstances, 5:40 a.m., N Ruby Loop, Scio. Deputy spoke with delivery driver who was confronted by two residents who were suspicious of them making deliveries in a personal car.

Traffic Hazard, 8:36 a.m., SW Filbert Street/SW Sixth Avenue, Scio. RV with slides out causing a hazard for vehicles and pedestrians walking along the road. RV owner stated they would bring the slides in.

Illegal Camping, 8:45 a.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Motorhome parked in the school parking lot. Driver said they were trying to get sleep before moving along.

Suspicious Circumstances, 9:56 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Mill City. Deputies responded to a woman finding a tracker on her motorhome. Ttracker was likely placed by her soon to be ex-husband.

Traffic Stop, 11:48 a.m., SW Broadway Street/SW Sixth Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Motorist Assist, 12:27 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Female and her dog were given a ride to Lyons.

Traffic Complaint, 3:01 p.m., SW Parkside Drive, Mill City. Kids riding around on a motorized scooter and going too fast. Deputies spoke with parents who stated they would talk with the kids.

Traffic Stop, 3:12 p.m., N First Avenue/NE Wall Street, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured, failure to display license plates and failure to register vehicle.

Neighborhood Dispute, 3:59 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Deputies were flagged down and assisted in a dispute.

Traffic Stop, 4:43 p.m., Highway 226/Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Driver warned for expired tags.

Suspicious Circumstances, 5:10 p.m., NE Santiam Pointe Loop, Mill City. Deputies contacted female who was dropped off at the location with all of her belongings. Deputies were able to contact a friend of hers who gave her a ride out of the area.

Traffic Stop, 5:25 p.m., Main and 13th streets, Lyons. Driver warned for speed.

Warrant, 9:31 p.m., SW Linn Blvd., Mill City. Subject, 48, was arrested and cited on a Linn County warrant.

Extra Patrol, 4:14 a.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Proactive patrols.

Assist Other Agency, 11:32 a.m., Hungry Hill Drive, Scio. Brush fire.

Assist Other Agency, 1:48 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Deputies assisted OSP on a traffic crash.

Traffic Stop, 2:01 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Warned for expired tags.

Traffic Stop, 7:51 p.m.m, Stayton-Scio Road, Scio. Driver warned for failure to maintain lane.

Warrant, 9:23 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Female, 26, of Lyons was arrested and booked into Linn County Jail on two outstanding warrants, and was cited and released on a separate warrant.

July 30

Suspicious Circumstances, 12:40 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Mill City. Deputies searched for stolen motorcycle.

Prowler, 3:44 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Possible prowler. Deputies determined no signs of entry.

Theft, 9:52 a.m., Kingston-Jordan Road, Scio. Report of stolen flatbed trailer, some hand tools and backpack blower. Total value $4,375. Ongoing investigation.

Found Property, 1:22 p.m., Fish Hatchery Drive. Found phone was lodged.

Intoxicated Subject, 1:48 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Female fell asleep in kayak and left dog to run loose. Deputies were eventually able to wake her up. She was advised she needed to get herself together and control her dog.

Parking Complaint, 2:45 p.m., Jordan Road, Scio. Several cars parked in fire department draft site. Deputies contacted vehicle owners, and they promptly moved.

Traffic Stop, 3:36 p.m., SE Fourth and SE Kingwood avenues, Mill City. Driver warned for expired tags.

Traffic Stop, 3:47 p.m., SE Kingwood and SE Second avenues, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to maintain lane.

Traffic Stop, 3:58 p.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Driver warned for moving violation.

Traffic Stop, 4:35 p.m., SE Kingwood and SE Second avenues, Mill City. Driver cited for 50 MPH in 25 MPH zone and failure to carry proof of insurance.

Traffic Stop, 5:06 p.m., SE Kingwood and SE Third avenues, Mill City. Driver cited for 40 MPH in 25 MPH zone.

July 31

Theft, 10:35 a.m., Crabtree Drive, Scio. Deputy spoke to male about a small item stolen from his vehicle.

Hit and Run, 12:34 p.m., Richardson Gap Road/Highway 226, Scio.

Forest Timber Patrol, 3 p.m., Rock Creek Road, Gates. ODF extinguished a small fire believed to be started by target shooters in gravel pit. 

Sex Offense, 3:23 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Deputy interviewed parties about a male indecently exposing himself. Information documented, no witnesses located.

Disturbance, 5:30 p.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Male, 41, of Mill City was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody for harassment. Female, 29, of Mill City was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody for assault in the fourth degree and criminal trespass in the second degree.
