Traffic Stop, 2:41 p.m., SW Broadway Street/SW Third Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Traffic Stop, 3:05 p.m., Main and 18th streets, Lyons. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Theft, 7:40 p.m., Highway 22, Idanha.

Fireworks Complaint, 8:54 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Report of people lighting fireworks and having a campfire. No fireworks or campfires were located when area was checked.

July 16

Theft, 8:45 a.m., Ridge Drive, Scio. Report of headstone valued at $500 was stolen from property. Suspect also broke into a shed and caused $50 in damage.

Suspicious Circumstances, 10:33 a.m., Jordan Road, Scio. Report of a male and female trespassing. Caller only wanted documentation.

Traffic Stop, 12:21 p.m., SE Kingwood and SE Second avenues, Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Traffic Stop, 12:36 p.m., S First and SE Kingwood avenues, Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Traffic Stop, 1:21 p.m., N First Avenue/NE Wall Street, Mill City. Driver cited for driving uninsured and driving while suspended.

Traffic Stop, 2:09 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for driving uninsured.

Suspicious Vehicle, 3:35 p.m., Neal Park Road, Lyons. Deputies located a suspicious vehicle. Owner was nearby and warned for switching plates on his vehicles.

Traffic Stop, 4:28 p.m., S First Avenue/SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Traffic Stop, 5:16 p.m., N First Avenue/NE Wall Street, Mill City. Male, 55, of Donald was arrested on an outstanding warrant and transported to Linn County Jail. Male was also cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured.

Suspicious Circumstances, 5:53 p.m., Goar Road, Scio. Deputies responded to possible trespassing on railroad property.

Traffic Hazard, 7:42 p.m., Highway 226/SE Second Avenue, Scio. Stop sign struck by a passing vehicle, which left the scene. Post will need to be replaced. Linn County Road Department notified.

Theft, 9:02 p.m., Rock Creek Road, Gates. Deputies investigated theft of camping supplies.

Elude, 10:48 p.m., Highway 22, Mill City. Deputies attempted a traffic stop. Motorcycle failed to yield. Deputies quickly discontinued pursuing.

July 17

Fraud, 2:40 p.m., E McCully Mountain Drive, Lyons. Report of a phone scam.

Trespass, 7:48 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Female trespassed from store.

Dog Complaint, 8:15 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Dog swimming in river retrieved by owner.

July 18

Traffic Stop, 10:01 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Traffic Stop, 10:17 a.m., SE Second Avenue, Scio. Driver cited for illegal window tint and driving while suspended.

Traffic Stop, 10:27 a.m., N Main Street/NE Fourth Avenue, Scio. Driver cited for illegal window tint and terminated insurance.

Trespass, 11:15 p.m., Hickory Court, Lyons. Deputy spoke with concerned citizen about trespassing and ways to deter trespassers.

Civil Dispute, 11:58 a.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Deputy spoke with citizen about a civil issue over a log truck.

Traffic Stop, 12:39 p.m., E Gates Bridge, Gates. Driver cited for driving while suspended, illegal window tint and driving uninsured.

Traffic Stop, 12:56 p.m., S First Avenue/SE Grove Street, Mill City. Driver cited for no wearing seatbelt and altered license plate.

Private Property Tow, 1:33 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Caller reported private property tow issue.

Traffic Stop, 1:35 p.m., Camp Morrison and E Bilyeu Creek drives, Scio. Driver warned for running a extreme light bar on the front of the vehicle and failure to dim.

Shots Heard, 1:44 p.m., Rock Creek Road, Gates.

Fraud, 2:12 p.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Report of identity theft.

Suspicious Person, 4:36 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Suspicious male trying to get a ride out of town. Deputies drove him to Salem.

Animal Complaint, 7:12 p.m., Rodgers Mountain Loop, Scio. Sheep were returned to fenced area.

Suspicious Circumstances, 9:22 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Suspicious screaming in the area.

July 19

Traffic Stop, 1:49 a.m., SW 11th Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended violation and driving uninsured.

Animal Complaint, 7:19 a.m., Rodgers Mountain Loop, Scio. Report of loose sheep. All sheep were returned home.

Warrant, 10:27 a.m., Fisher Street, Scio. Deputy attempted to contact an individual with active warrants.

Trespass, 10:59 a.m., 24th Street, Lyons. Deputies responded to a trespass. The landowner and female trespasser had come to a resolution. Non-criminal.

Dog Complaint, 11:21 a.m., SW Fourth Avenue/SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Dog owner cited for dog at large.

Warrant, 11:55 p.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Male, 48, of Mill City was arrested on an outstanding warrant and lodged at Linn County Jail.

Accident, 12:59 p.m., Shilling Drive, Scio. Driver failed to yield at a stop sign, and her vehicle was struck by a vehicle with the right of way. At fault driver was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device. Non-injury.

Dog Complaint, 1:10 p.m., SW Douglas Street, Mill City. Dog owner issued written warning for dog at large.

Abandon Vehicle, 2:37 p.m., Parish Lake Road/Highway 22, Idanha. Deputies found an abandoned boat on a forest service road. Although effort was made to remove identifying numbers, deputies were able to ID the boat and registered owner. Ongoing investigation.

Trespass, 3:15 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Abandoned RV parked on private property. Landowner will handle the situation.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle, 4:43 p.m., Cedar Mill Road, Lyons. Vehicle was returned to its owner.

Assist Other Agency, 9:14 p.m., Hess Road, Scio. Suspicious fire started near Buell Miller Boat Ramp. Ongoing investigation.

July 20

Traffic Stop, 12:04 p.m., N First Avenue/NE Wall Street, Mill City. Driver cited for 47 MPH in 25 MPH zone.

Traffic Stop, 12:12 p.m., N First Avenue/NE Wall Street, Mill City. Driver cited for not wearing seatbelt.

Traffic Stop, 3:13 p.m., SW Linn Blvd./SW 10th Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Illegal Camping, 3:59 p.m., Clipfell Lane/24th Street, Lyons. Owner trying to find help to remove a fifth-wheel for her.

Suspicious Vehicle, 8:03 p.m., NE Wall Street, Mill City. Deputies spoke with male regarding suspicious nature. Male had fallen off motorcycle and advised he was okay.

Traffic Stop, 9:35 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Driver warned for speed.

Elude, 10:09 p.m., SE Fourth Avenue, Mill City. Deputies attempted traffic stop on motorcycle and driver eluded. Deputies discontinued pursuit shortly thereafter.

Traffic Stop, 10:47 p.m., 15th Street, Lyons. Traffic stop initiated and cancelled due to wrong vehicle being stopped.

Traffic Stop, 10:50 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Driver warned for speed.

Suspicious Person, 11:26 p.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Deputy walked around the buildings and could smell cigarettes. No one was found in the area.

July 21

Traffic Stop, 12:02 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Driver warned for no license plate.

Suspicious Circumstances, 10:14 a.m., Kingwood Avenue, Gates. Caller concerned about people possibly trying to get into his house.

Fraud, 10:55 a.m., Stayton-Scio Road, Scio. Deputy spoke with APS about previously reported fraud.

Suspicious Person, 3:22 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Male came onto caller’s property to report he was bit by a dog. Male refused to stay on scene when law enforcement was called.

Forest Timber Patrol, 7:13 p.m., Quartzville Road, Idanha. Illegal campfire was found on USFS property.

Noise Disturbance, 10:24 p.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Live band would likely be done around midnight. Out of city limits.

July 22

DUII, 12:29 a.m., Stayton-Scio Loop/Stayton-Scio Road, Scio. Male, 59, of Salem was arrested for DUII. He was cited for refusal to provide a breath sample.

Suspicious Circumstances, 4:24 a.m., Jefferson-Scio Drive, Scio. Male seen on camera running from a local business. Nothing found at business.

Found Dog, 8:19 a.m., W McCully Mountain Drive, Lyons. Stray dog was dropped off and lodged at Linn County Animal Control.

Stalking Complaint, 2:22 p.m., SW Filbert Street, Scio. Deputy spoke with caller about possible stalking situation. Caller advised of stalking orders.

Parking Complaint, 3:27 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. 16 citations issued to vehicles for illegal parking.

Search and Rescue, 9:40 p.m., Marion Lake Road, Idanha. Female became separated from hiking partner. Search and rescue searched for her overnight, and located her early morning. She was not injured and able to hike back to the trail head.

Traffic Stop, 9:57 p.m., S First Avenue/SW Evergreen Street, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to carry proof of insurance.

July 23

Traffic Stop, 1:14 a.m., Main Street, Lyons. Driver warned for failure to obey traffic control device.

Traffic Stop, 1:56 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for failure to obey traffic control device.

Theft, 3:50 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Report of two cell phones being left in front of a convenience store and when the owner returned they were missing.

Accident, 10:07 a.m., Jefferson-Scio Drive, Scio. Non-injury, two-vehicle crash.

Suspicious Circumstances, 10:31 a.m., NE Wall Street/N First Avenue, Mill City. Citizen wanted to give information about some small blood smears in a public restroom.

Noise Disturbance, 3:16 p.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Noise was gone when deputy arrived.
