April 23

Traffic Stop, 3:08 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver cited for 56 MPH in 40 MPH zone.

Traffic Stop, 3:27 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver cited for 60 MPH in 40 MPH zone.

Juvenile Complaint, 3:30 p.m., Farris Road, Scio. Two juveniles acting out. No crimes occurred and deputies offered resources to the parents.

Noise Disturbance, 3:38 p.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Complaint of a screaming child. Deputies learned the parents are currently having problems with their juvenile in regards to their attitude.

April 24

Accident, 10:49 a.m., N Main Street, Scio. Crash is still being investigated.

Harassment, 11:46 a.m., NW Beech Street, Scio. Caller had questions regarding her son’s rights as a victim of bullying. She was sent a victim rights card. 

Dog Complaint, 2:09 p.m., Ridge Drive, Scio. Deputy returned a stray dog to its owner. Owner warned for dog as a public nuisance and failure to license his dog.

Civil Dispute, 2:23 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. After two years, female wanted her high school volleyball sweatshirt back. Other party did not have the sweatshirt and stated she may have thrown it away.

Threats, 2:31 p.m., 14th Street, Lyons. Questions about restraining order process.

Hit and Run, 5:13 p.m., Rainbow Drive, Scio. Caller wanted to report damage to his vehicle that he had loaned.

Park Patrol, 9:34 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Male resting in car at Kimmel Park. Advised park was closed and to move on.

Traffic Stop, 11:07 p.m., NE Alder Street, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended violation.

April 25

Traffic Stop, 3:33 a.m., NW Second Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for improper display.

Event Detail, 12:58 p.m., SW Cedar Street, Mill City. Three deputies assisted Santiam High with a lockdown drill.Event Detail, 2:27 p.m., SW Evergreen Street, Mill City. Deputies participated in a lockdown drill with the school.

Security Check, 4:04 p.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Security check of a barn where voices were allegedly heard. Nobody was found inside.

Traffic Stop, 9:09 p.m., NE Santiam Blvd./NE Third Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended violation.

Traffic Stop, 9:44 p.m., SW Linn Place/SW Fifth Avenue, Mill City. Motorcycle driver warned for under glow lights.

Harassment, 9:46 p.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Deputy investigated potential harassment which turned into an attempted welfare check.

Traffic Stop, 3:04 a.m., Highway 226/Jordan Road, Scio. Log truck warned for no tail lights. 

Theft, 8:14 a.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Deputies investigated vehicle break-in resulting in approx. $1,700 of property loss.

Traffic Stop, 10:47 a.m., SW 11th Avenue/Lyons-Mill City Drive, Mill City. Driver issued warning for a moving violation.

Traffic Stop, 11:20 a.m., SW Fifth Ave./SW Broadway St., Mill City. Driver cited for failure to carry proof of insurance.

Traffic Stop, 11:40 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver cited for failure to renew vehicle registration.

Traffic Stop, 2:21 p.m., NE Santiam Blvd./NE Alder Street, Mill City. Male, 41, of Bend was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody for driving while suspended.

Civil Dispute, 2:27 p.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Civil dispute between landlord and tenant.

Suspicious Vehicle, 8:33 p.m., 19th Street, Lyons. Deputies speak to individuals regarding possible littering.

April 27

Traffic Stop, 7:14 a.m., SW Ivy Street/S First Avenue, Mill City. Male, 77, of Mill City was cited for unsignaled turn. Deputy also had a conversation about his socially unacceptable behavior of driving around offering rides to everyone. It was recommended he stay home or drive the highway and see the sights.

Suspicious Vehicle, 8:16 a.m., Fairview Street, Mill City. Vehicle parked on private property. Deputy contacted male who had permission to be there.

Dog Complaint, 9:27 a.m., Jordan Road, Scio. Dog owner issued written warning for dog as a public nuisance.

Illegal Camping, 9:44 a.m., Kingwood Ave., Mill City. Camper will move.

Traffic Stop, 10:04 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd./NW Ninth Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for 56 MPH in 40 MPH zone.

Suspicious Vehicle, 10:20 a.m., W Scio Road, Scio. Caller was not happy with a car parked near his mailbox. Deputy found no vehicles blocking any mailboxes.

Dog Complaint, 10:57 a.m., SW Fourth Avenue, Mill City. Dog owner cited for dog at large.

Traffic Stop, 11:05 a.m., NE Fourth Avenue/NE Alder Street, Mill City. Driver cited for 58 MPH in 40 MPH zone.

Civil Dispute, 11:36 a.m., SW Ivy St., Mill City. Continuation of civil dispute. Person is aware of steps they need to take to remediate situation but refuses to do so.

Neighborhood Dispute, 11:47 a.m., SW Fourth Avenue, Mill City. Male, 48, of Mill City was arrested and lodged at Linn County Jail for a Mill City Municipal Court warrant.

Traffic Stop, 4:13 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver cited for failure to renew vehicle registration.

Burglary, 4:29 p.m., SE Mountain Avenue, Idanha.

Extra Patrol, 4:31 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Deputies hand out stickers to kids playing at Kimmel Park.

April 28

Trespass, 7:48 a.m., Goar Road, Scio. Deputy responded to a call about a vehicle possibly trespassing and determined the vehicle was allowed to be there.

Theft, 8:51 a.m., W McCully Mountain Drive, Lyons. 

Forest Timber Patrol, 10:26 a.m., Rock Creek Road, Gates. Check on transient camps. One was cleared out and the second was working on removing a trailer.

Fraud, 12:41 p.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Caller reported possible fraudulent scam phone call.

Traffic Stop, 8:45 p.m., SW Kingwood and SW Fourth avenues, Mill City. Driver warned for improper lighting.

Traffic Stop, 9:38 p.m., SW Ivy Street/SW Hall Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to register vehicle.

Suspicious Person, 10:49 p.m., NW Ninth Avenue, Mill City. Deputy provided a courtesy ride to male left in Mill City.

April 29

Overdose Law Only, 2:03 a.m., SW Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputies responded to a juvenile overdose. Patient was transported to hospital.

Traffic Stop, 4:32 a.m., SW Linn Blvd./SW 10th Ave., Mill City. Driver cited for failure to use ignition interlock device.

Suspicious Circumstance, 11:03 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Deputy assisted female known to have dementia.

Person Assist, 12:57 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Deputy checked on female with dementia and confirmed she made it back home.

Suspicious Circumstance, 3:52 p.m., NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Deputy spoke to caller about his wife trespassing.

Traffic Complaint, 8:29 p.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Driver cited for careless driving.

Criminal Mischief, 9:03 p.m., NE First Avenue, Scio. Attempted to take report of potential crime but victim uncooperative.

Suspicious Vehicle, 10:19 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Deputy contacted male at county park after dusk. Driver was advised to move on.

Traffic Stop, 10:57 p.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Driver warned for no headlights.

Traffic Stop, 11:16 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Male, 37, of Mill City was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant and issued a citation for driving while suspended violation, driving uninsured and failure to register vehicle.

April 30

Traffic Stop, 12:39 a.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for no working tail lights.

OD Ingestion Poisoning, 1:16 a.m., SW Second Avenue, Scio. Deputies secured the scene of an attempted overdose for medics to enter.

Traffic Stop, 2:27 a.m., SW Cedar Street, Mill City. Driver warned for improper display.

Suspicious Person, 11:30 a.m., Jefferson-Scio Road, Scio. Deputy spoke to a female who wanted a ride to Salem. After continuing the conversation, the female walked off and no longer wanted a ride.

Criminal Mischief, 12:36 p.m., W Scio Road, Scio. Deputy documented concerns of neighborhood issues.

Suspicious Person, 4:29 p.m., Shimanek Bridge Drive, Scio. Deputy contacted a suspicious person who was asked to move along.

Park Patrol, 9:07 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Deputy contacted juvenile at Kimmel Park after hours and provided a courtesy ride home at their parents’ request.

Traffic Stop, 10:10 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd./NW Ninth Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for emitting white light to rear of vehicle.
