April 10

Civil Dispute, 8:25 a.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Deputy responded to an ongoing property line dispute. Property owner will be contacting an attorney.

DUII, 10:53 a.m., Schindler Bridge Drive, Scio. Female was arrested on suspicion of DUII. She gave a breath sample that gave a result of .30. She was transported to Albany General Hospital, where she was cited and released.

Illegal Camping, 12:21 p.m., Jefferson-Scio Drive, Scio. Deputies forwarded information to county code enforcement.

Welfare Check, 3:05 p.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Deputies responded to a possible violation of a restraining order; determined there was no violation.

Suspicious Vehicle, 7:12 p.m., Mason Road, Albany. Female, 23, of Scio was cited on warrants.

Harassment, 7:29 p.m., SW Spring Street, Mill City. Deputies explained the process of obtaining a stalking order.

April 11

Suspicious Vehicle, 12:51 a.m., SW Linn Blvd., Mill City. Unoccupied vehicle.

Traffic Hazard, 1:18 a.m., SW 11th Avenue/Lyons-Mill City Drive, Mill City. Deputy reported a downed stop sign.

Welfare Check, 3:03 a.m., 16th Street, Lyons. Person had dead batteries on a personal alarm which needed to be replaced.

Citizen Contact, 4:14 a.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Person had questions about court times.

Shots Heard, 7:46 a.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Caller heard a single gunshot. No one else heard anything. Deputies unable to locate source.

Traffic Stop, 8:08 a.m., Freeman Road, Scio. Driver cited for 79 MPH in 55 MPH zone.

Theft, 11:31 a.m., SW Third Avenue/SW Myrtle Street, Mill City. Deputies investigated a theft of services. The victim did not wish to pursue charges.

Shots Heard, 11:43 a.m., Hungry Hill Drive, Scio. Deputies checked the area for a report of people shooting guns in an unsafe manner. Unknown suspects left area prior to deputies’ arrival.

Abandoned Vehicle, 2:10 p.m., Monument Peak Road, Gates. Deputies received a report of an abandoned camp trailer and truck on ODF property.

Traffic Stop, 3:19 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver cited for violation of posted speed limit.

Suspicious Vehicle, 3:20 p.m., NE Alder Street, Mill City. Motorhome was gone upon deputy’s arrival.

Suspicious Vehicle, 4:07 p.m., Xmas Tree Road, Gates. Deputies contacted a female on ODF land scouting for mushrooms. Female was polite and cooperative. No crime.

Suspicious Circumstance, 4:11 p.m., Monument Peak Road, Gates. Deputies contacted a male on BLM land, close to the border with ODF land, harvesting firewood from a logging scrap pile. Male was polite and cooperative, and had a valid ODF harvest permit. Male didn’t realize he was on BLM land and was warned to harvest only on ODF land.

Civil Dispute, 8:11 p.m., Dogwood Street, Lyons. Intoxicated wife was not allowing her intoxicated husband to remove belongings from the residence. No crimes.

Traffic Stop, 9:26 p.m., Montgomery Drive/Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Driver cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.

Park Patrol, 10:15 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Truck contacted at Kimmel Park after hours. Occupants were advised to move along.

Warrant, 10:33 p.m., SE Hazel Street/S First Avenue, Mill City. Male, 54, of Mill City was arrested for a probation violation warrant out of Linn County Justice Court.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle, 11:23 p.m., NW Second Avenue, Mill City. Deputies recovered a stolen truck out of Washington County.

April 12

Suspicious Person, 1:13 a.m., S First Avenue/SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Deputies checked on a female walking in the road.

Harassment, 8:15 a.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputies documented an ongoing civil issue.

Traffic Stop, 8:40 a.m., Highway 226/Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Driver warned for speeding violation.

Traffic Stop, 10:30 a.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Traffic Stop, 10:48 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Traffic Stop, 12:47 p.m., Highway 22, Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Civil Dispute, 5:17 p.m., Franklin Butte Road, Scio. Deputies documented an ongoing civil matter.

Suspicious Circumstance, 8:07 p.m., Crackerneck Drive, Scio. People were shooting on their private property. No crimes.

Mental Health, 9:50 p.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Deputy responded and contacted a female who was suffering from mental health issues. Subject was not a threat to herself or others. Deputy provided options for the female.

April 13

Traffic Stop, 9:36 a.m., SW Fourth Avenue/SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Driver warned for no proof of insurance.

Traffic Hazard, 10:05 a.m., Stayton-Scio Road, Scio. Deputies responded to a cow in the road. Cow was returned to its pasture and the owner was notified.

Traffic Stop, 10:07 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd./NW Ninth Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for 56 MPH in 40 MPH zone.

Traffic Stop, 11:01 a.m., NW Ninth Avenue/NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Abandoned Vehicle, 11:15 a.m., SE Fourth Avenue, Mill City. Deputies learned a possible trespasser was actually a Weyerhaeuser employee.

Traffic Stop, 1 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver cited for 56 MPH in 40 MPH zone.

Traffic Stop, 1:26 p.m., NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver cited for 58 MPH in 40 MPH zone.

Traffic Stop, 2:14 p.m., NW Ninth Avenue/NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver cited for 58 MPH in 40 MPH zone.

Welfare Check, 3:10 p.m., Shelburn Drive, Scio. Elderly male was happy and healthy.

Animal Complaint, 6:10 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Deputies checked on a dog on the side of the road. Dog returned to its yard.

Domestic Disturbance, 6:58 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Deputies investigated a domestic disturbance. Parties separated prior. Ongoing investigation.

Civil Dispute, 9:16 p.m., Franklin Butte Road, Scio. Caller wanted to discuss civil issues he was having with a person that lives on his property.

April 14

Dog Bite, 9:25 p.m., Robinson Drive, Scio. Deputy issued a bite quarantine order and warning for failure to license dogs to owner.

Harassment, 10:17 a.m., SW Spring Street, Mill City. Deputy documented caller’s concerns as she plans to get a stalking order.

Welfare Check, 10:22 a.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Female was happy and well.

Welfare Check, 1:48 p.m., 14th Street, Lyons. LCSO received information from OSP about a welfare check. Deputy spoke with subject over the phone. Subject was not a threat to the public and no further action was taken at this time.

Animal Complaint, 6:41 p.m., Highway 226, Lyons. Deputy spoke with caller about an ongoing animal complaint.

Shots Heard, 8:16 p.m., Providence Drive, Scio. Deputy checked area and heard no gunshots.

Park Patrol, 10:03 p.m., Neal Park Road, Lyons.

Park Patrol, 10:40 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park.

Found Dog, 10:59 p.m., Cole View Drive, Scio. Deputy lodged a found dog at LCSO Animal Control.

April 15

Traffic Stop, 2:26 a.m., NE Seventh Avenue/NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for failure to renew registration.

Traffic Stop, 2:51 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended violation and driving uninsured.

Warrant, 3 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Female, 51, of Mill City was issued a citation in lieu of custody for her Linn County warrant.

Traffic Stop, 5:43 a.m., Jefferson-Scio Drive, Scio. Driver warned for speed.

Harassment, 10:48 a.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Caller’s ex was harassing her and she is planning on getting a stalking order against him.

Suspicious Vehicle, 10:45 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Male resting in car was advised of potential trespassing on ODOT property.

Traffic Stop, 10:56 p.m., NW Third Avenue/N Main Street, Scio. Driver warned for unreadable plate.

April 16

Domestic Disturbance, 12:26 a.m., SW Filbert Street, Scio. Deputy gave a courtesy ride to a male after an argument between him and his wife.

UUMV, 9:58 a.m., Main Street, Lyons. Deputy took a report of stolen vehicle.

Juvenile Complaint, 12:01 p.m., Gray Pine Street, Lyons. Deputy responded to a juvenile complaint.

Juvenile Complaint, 6:26 p.m., Gray Pine Street, Lyons. Deputy spoke with grandmother and grandson about living options.

Extra Patrol, 8:49 p.m., Gates School Road, Gates. Extra patrol request.

Traffic Stop, 10:37 p.m., Highway 226/Gilkey Road, Scio. Driver warned for failure to register vehicle.
