Drug Take Back Event – 9 – 10 a.m., Mill City City Hall, 444 S First Ave. Turn in your unsured or expired medication for safe disposal. Keep all liquids in original container. Intra-venous solutions, injectables and syringes are not accepted. Illicit substances such as are not part of this initiative.

Free Gardening Workshop – 9 – 10:30 a.m., Santiam Community Gardens, 846 Fifth St., Lyons. Learn about perennial crops. In the garden, prune roses and berries. Guests can visit with environmentally-conscious exhibitors, engaging in educational activities and exploring the garden. Earth Day is free to attend. It is pet-friendly and outside food is welcome.
