Santiam Elementary is hosting a kindergarten orientation on May 11.
While parents complete registration for the 2023-24 school year, future kindergarteners will visit classrooms and meet the teachers. Students will also enjoy a short bus ride, a scavenger hunt through the building and a treat from the PTO.
All children with in the Santiam Canyon School District communities who will be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2023, are welcome to join.
Parents should bring the child’s birth certificate, social security card, custody paperwork or documents and immunization record.
The orientation runs from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Santiam Elementary, 450 SW Evergreen St., Mill City.
