March 28

Dog Complaint, 10:57 a.m., Stayton-Scio Loop, Scio. Transported stray dog to Animal Control.

Hit and Run, 6:16 p.m., Gates Bridge East, Gates. Deputy took report of a traffic complaint.

Lost Dog, 9:12 p.m., Stayton-Scio Road, Scio. Deputy took report of a dog that is believed to be stolen.

March 29

Suspicious Vehicle, 1:33 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Unoccupied suspicious vehicle in Dollar General parking lot.

Park Patrol, 2:03 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Two male juveniles were found at Kimmel Park after hours and were taken home to a guardian.

Suspicious Vehicle, 7:17 a.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Vehicle was unoccupied with no one near it.

Found Property, 7:52 a.m., Neal Park Road, Lyons. Trash at the park.

Motorist Assist, 9:04 a.m., Fish Hatchery Drive/Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Deputies stopped to check on vehicle parked on the side of the road. Operator did not need assistance.

Suspicious Person, 9:14 a.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Deputies investigated a possible theft of fencing. 

Forest Timber Patrol, 9:22 a.m., SE Church Street, Idanha. Extra patrol requested by a logging crew due to ATV trespassers.

Runaway, 9:44 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Report of runaway juveniles. Deputies were able to find one juvenile and the other returned home.

Civil Dispute, 11:18 a.m., Franklin Butte Road, Scio. Caller inquired about eviction process. Deputy provided caller with the Linn County Civil Department phone number.

Warrant, 11:58 a.m., Rock Creek Road, Gates. Male, 46, of Mill City was arrested and lodged at Linn County Jail for Mill City Municipal Court and Lebanon Justice Court warrants.

Harassment, 3:09 p.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Male, 44, of Salem was cited in lieu of custody for two Salem Municipal Court warrants.

Traffic Hazard, 9:08 p.m., Duffy Lane/Crabtree Drive, Scio. Deputies unable to locate reported trailer in the road.

Assist Other Agency, 9:27 p.m., Sandner Drive, Scio. Deputy attempted contact for Salem PD. Unable to locate.

March 30

Parking Complaint, 10:58 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Deputies spoke to the owner of an RV about having it moved. Owner was trying to fix it and hope to have it moved by the next day.

Missing Persons, 11:25 a.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Person with a disability walked away from the home. Deputies found the person and provided them a courtesy ride home.

Traffic Stop, 3:29 p.m., Main and 14th streets, Lyons. Driver warned for a moving violation.

Trespass, 5:13 p.m., NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Suspicious person left area prior to deputy’s arrival.

March 31

Theft, 9:14 a.m., SE Goldfish Farm Road, Albany. Male, 35, of Scio was arrested for theft 2, ID theft, computer crime and unlawful use of credit card.

Suspicious Circumstance, 9:46 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Caller reported suspicious activity in regard to occupants of a motorhome. Occupants were gone on deputy’s arrival.

Accident, 10:13 a.m., Richardson Gap Road/Larwood Drive, Scio. Driver went unconscious after failing to take her medication and drove onto private property and into trees. Driver refused transport after being seen by Scio Fire. ST&R removed the vehicle.

Welfare Check, 5:02 p.m., Sledge Road, Scio. Report of concerns about occupants of a vehicle.

Runaway, 5:17 p.m., Sledge Road, Scio. Deputy attempted to locate a runaway 17-year-old. Juvenile not found.

Trespass, 7:23 p.m., Stayton-Scio Road, Scio. Deputy took a report of a neighbor seeing a vehicle and two people on his property.

April 1

Trespass, 8:15 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Deputy asked to move motorhome along. Gone on arrival.

Dog Complaint, 12:01 p.m., SE Birch Street, Scio. Deputy will attempt to issue a citation later.

Assault, 7:28 p.m., Ninth Street, Lyons. Deputy took report of assault.

Suspicious Vehicle, 9:33 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Deputy contacted an RV parked in US Bank parking lot after hours. RV was needing gas.

Counter Traffic, 10:27 p.m., Franklin Butte Road, Scio. Citizens asking questions about eviction process.

Suspicious Vehicle, 10:38 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Deputy contacted a male resting in a car. He was too tired to keep traveling.

Traffic Stop, 11:15 p.m., SW Ivy Street/SW Hall Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for driving uninsured and failure to register a vehicle.

Harassment, 11:22 p.m., Sledge Road, Scio. Report of a suspicious vehicle that was in the caller’s driveway the previous night.

April 2

Dog Complaint, 12:27 a.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Dogs not barking when deputy arrived.

Traffic Stop, 5 a.m., NE Santiam Blvd./NE Third Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended violation and driving uninsured.

Neighborhood Dispute, 11:03 a.m., Shilling Drive, Scio. Deputy responded.

Disturbance, 12:36 p.m., SE Mountain Avenue, Idanha.

Assist Other Agency, 8:04 p.m., Highway 226/Rashmar Drive, Lyons. Deputy assisted OSP for a motor vehicle accident.

Park Patrol, 10:59 p.m., SE Evergreen Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park.

April 3

Traffic Stop, 1:11 a.m., SW Linn Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for emitting white light to the rear of the vehicle.

Park Patrol, 3:34 a.m., Neal Park Road, Lyons. John Neal Park.

Extra Patrol, 4:19 a.m., N Main Street, Scio. Scio High.

Foot Patrol, 8:01 a.m., NW First Avenue, Scio. Deputy performed a walkthrough of schools.

Suspicious Circumstance, 8:17 a.m., Gates School Road, Gates. Deputies were unable to locate what the caller described.

Trespass, 8:43 a.m., SE Cedar Avenue, Idanha. Property owner did not want to press charges. Only wanted to provide information to police.

Extra Patrol, 9:27 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park.

Extra Patrol, 9:44 a.m., SW Evergreen Street, Mill City. Deputies conducted school zone traffic enforcement. 

Traffic Stop, 9:51 a.m., SW Evergreen Street/SW Second Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Extra Patrol, 10:10 a.m., SW Cedar Street, Mill City. Deputies visited Santiam Jr./Sr. High.

Traffic Stop, 10:58 a.m., Stayton-Scio Road/Brock Drive, Scio. Driver issued verbal warning for equipment violation.

Extra Patrol, 2:46 p.m., Neal Park Road, Lyons. Freres City Park. 

Welfare Check, 3:55 p.m., Crabtree Drive, Scio. Subject was fine.

Traffic Stop, 8:45 p.m., Highway 22, Mill City. Traffic stop for possible stolen vehicle. Confirmed it was not stolen.

Suspicious Circumstance, 11:03 P.M., Goar Road, Scio. Deputies attempted to locate a suspicious vehicle. Vehicle left the area prior to arrival. No known crimes.
