March 21

Traffic Stop, 9:48 a.m., NE Wall Street/N First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for missing moth registration tag.

Traffic Stop, 10:03 a.m., NE Alder and NE Wall streets, Mill City. Driver warned for tags.

Traffic Complaint, 10:15 a.m., Robinson Drive, Scio. Deputies documented complaint.

Suspicious Circumstance, 11:11 a.m., Main Street, Lyons. Report of an explosion. Deputies spoke with tree service worker and learned a tree branch had blown a powerline transformer. The worker said power was restored.

Animal Complaint, 1:05 p.m., Shilling Drive, Scio. Deputy conducted a welfare check on a dog that was reported to have been tied to a tree in the rain. No dogs tied to a tree when deputy arrived and no sign of violation or crimes.

Animal Complaint, 2:05 p.m., Robinson Drive, Scio. Deputy responded to locate sheep that are reported to get out regularly. Deputy was unable to locate.

Trespass, 6:11 p.m., N Main Street, Scio. Deputies investigate a stolen vehicle case.

Extra Patrol, 10:28 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Deputies conducted extra and crime prevention patrols.

Narcotics Offense, 10:38 p.m., S First Avenue/SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Male, 54, of Mill City was arrested and lodged at Linn County Jail on an active Mill City Municipal Court warrant. He was also cited for driving while suspended and possession of <2 grams of methamphetamine into the Linn County Circuit Court.

March 22

Abandoned Vehicle, 11:54 a.m., Main Street, Lyons. Report of abandoned vehicle. Responsible party for vehicle was located and agreed to move the vehicle.

Traffic Hazard, 1:24 p.m., Rodgers Mountain Loop, Scio. Deputy checked for hazard. Road was clear.

Traffic Stop, 2:41 p.m., NW Fourth Avenue/N Main Street, Scio. Driver cited for failure to carry proof of insurance and failure display license plates.

Warrant, 2:48 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Subject, 32, of Lyons was cited on a warrant out of Marion County.

Welfare Check, 3:51 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Deputies conducted a welfare check on a juvenile. Juvenile was happy and healthy.

Civil Dispute, 6:57 p.m., Meritt Road, Scio. Deputy answered questions about divorce and splitting assets.

Civil Dispute, 7:25 p.m., Ninth Street, Lyons. Renters tore up the property owner’s lawn while removing property.

March 23

Welfare Check, 8:33 a.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Welfare check requested on patient at local care facility.

Traffic Stop, 9:49 a.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Driver was cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and failure to display license plates.

Traffic Complaint, 10:36 a.m., Honey Bear Road, Scio. Deputies checked on suspicious vehicles. Vehicles left prior to deputies’ arrival.

UUMV, 10:56 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Deputies spoke with a male about a stolen vehicle, however; the vehicle was repossessed. Male is attempting to contact party who took the vehicle to recover items left inside.

Civil Dispute, 7:43 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Citizen trying to call in same incident he already reported to another team who is handling it.

Suspicious Vehicle, 8:44 p.m., W Scio Road/Jefferson-Scio Drive, Scio. Deputy contacted a male in his broken down RV parked beside the road.

Park Patrol, 9:46 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park.

Suspicious Vehicle, 10:12 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. RV owner advised of potential parking citation. Owner was working to fix RV and move.

Traffic Stop, 10:42 p.m., SE Fourth Avenue/SE Myrtle Street, Mill City. Driver cited for failure to carry proof of insurance.

Dog Complaint, 12:10 a.m., SW Third Avenue, Mill City. Deputy assisted dog owner in locating their dog.

Traffic Stop, 3:02 a.m., SE Kingwood and SE Second avenues, Mill City. Driver warned for unsignaled turn.

Traffic Stop, 3:12 a.m., N First Avenue/NW Alder Street, Mill City. Driver warned for improper display.

Traffic Stop, 3:52 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for failure to obey traffic control device.

Traffic Stop, 4:13 a.m., NW Seventh Avenue/NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Extra Patrol, 5:42 a.m., W Scio Road, Scio. Vacant property check for trespassers. No one found on property.

Traffic Hazard, 7:55 a.m., Highway 226/Jordan Road, Scio. Deputies, with the help of good citizens, removed a tree from the road.

Traffic Stop, 8:57 a.m., SW Third Avenue/SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Civil Dispute, 10:18 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Deputies followed up with an investigation.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle, 10:43 a.m., Jefferson-Scio Drive, Jefferson. Male, 35, of Scio was arrested and lodged at Linn County Jail for warrants.

UEMV, 10:57 a.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Caller reported $53 of items missing from his two vehicles after they were broken into sometime overnight.

Traffic Stop, 2 p.m., N First Avenue/NE Wall Street, Mill City. Driver warned for tags.

Traffic Complaint, 2:33 p.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Deputies contacted a possible intoxicated driver. Deputies learned the driver was not intoxicated but possibly confused.

Traffic Stop, 2:50 p.m., NE Wall Street/N First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Traffic Stop, 3:32 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Traffic Stop, 4:22 p.m., SW Linn Blvd., Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended, switched license plates, no insurance and failure to register vehicle.

Suspicious Circumstance, 1:34 a.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Extra patrol of property was provided at the owner’s request. Nothing suspicious.

March 26

Traffic Stop, 2:30 a.m., Shilling Drive/Stayton-Scio Road, Scio. Male, 55, was arrested and transported to Linn County Jail for charges of driving while suspended – misdemeanor.

Abandoned Vehicle, 9:24 a.m., Miller Road/Shelburn Drive, Scio. Twice-tagged motorhome parked at intersection. Deputy contacted occupant and encouraged him to move along to property he had permission to stay on.

Park Patrol, 9:43 a.m., Hess Road, Scio. Deputy patrolled county boat ramp.

Juvenile Complaint, 10:03 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Report of kids ding-dong-ditching.

Suspicious Vehicle, 11:38 a.m., 16th Street, Lyons. Vehicle gone upon deputies’ arrival.

Extra Patrol, 12:27 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park.

Traffic Stop, 1:41 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended violation.

Traffic Stop, 2:14 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for tags.

Traffic Stop, 2:31 p.m., S First Avenue/SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Warrant, 9:31 p.m., Rock Creek Road, Gates. Male, 42, of Gates was cited on a warrant.

March 27

Suspicious Person, 12:51 a.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Deputies were unable to locate.

Extra Patrol, 2:21 a.m., Hess Road, Scio. Deputies advised subject the location was not a campground.

Animal Complaint, 9:15 a.m., Stayton-Scio Road/Ridge Drive, Scio. Deputy responded to a cow stuck in a fence. Not stuck when deputy arrived.

Fraud, 9:32 a.m., HIghway 226, Scio. Caller thought they were possibly scammed for $300 when trying to purchase a dog on Facebook Marketplace. Caller will stay in communication in the event it becomes a scam and they do not receive their money back.

Traffic Stop, 11:47 a.m., Jefferson-Scio Drive, Scio. Male, 26, of Sico was issued multiple traffic citations as well as criminal citations regarding warrants.

Extra Patrol, 6:57 p.m., W Scio Road, Scio. Vacant property check.

Assist Other Agency, 6:59 p.m., Locust Street, Lyons. Assisted another agency in checking for a person.

Traffic Stop, 7:50 a.m., NE Fifth Avenue/NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Park Patrol, 8:10 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park.

Traffic Stop, 2:37 a.m., NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended.

Traffic Stop, 2:57 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Vehicle stopped for insurance check. DMV showed expired; driver had current insurance.
