Feb. 28

Violation of Order, 8:17 a.m., Crabtree Drive, Scio. Deputy learned of a possible violation of a no contact order. Ongoing investigation.

Traffic Stop, 1:28 p.m., Jefferson-Scio Drive/W Scio Road, Scio. Driver warned for unreadable license plate.

Traffic Hazard, 2 p.m., Lulay Road, Scio. Weyerhaeuser reported the residents at this location are parking in the road and blocking traffic flow. When deputy arrived, a car was parked in the lane of travel, fully blocking one lane. Vehicle was covered in snow and appeared to be there all day. Residents advised they will find a better place to park.

Suspicious Vehicle, 3:08 p.m., Loma Drive/Highway 226, Scio. Vehicle was gone when deputies arrived.

Suspicious Circumstance, 4:07 p.m., SW Elderberry Street, Scio. Deputies investigated.

Accident, 4:57 p.m., Shimanek Bridge Drive, Scio. Single-vehicle crash. Driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

March 1

Suspicious Vehicle, 3:12 a.m., Hungry Hill Drive, Scio. Deputy checked the area and did not locate anyone.

Traffic Stop, 11:52 a.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Traffic stop for no license.

Extra Patrol, 11:57 a.m., SE Fourth Avenue, Mill City. Deputies attempted to locate wanted subjects.

Suspicious Person, 12:01 p.m., SE Grove Street, Mill City. Deputies contacted a male and said hi.

Theft, 12:17 p.m., Shimanek Bridge Drive, Scio. Deputies documented and investigated theft and a suspicious vehicle.

Warrant, 12:42 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Deputies attempted to locate a wanted male.

Traffic Stop, 12:53 p.m., Highway 22, Mill City. Driver cited for failure to register vehicle.

Traffic Stop, 7:37 p.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Driver cited for failure to register vehicle.

Traffic Stop, 8:36 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended.

Traffic Stop, 9:19 p.m., NE Wall Street, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended.

Noise Disturbance, 9:26 p.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Deputies spoke to residents about their music as reported by someone in the neighborhood. The residents were already educated on the Mill City Municipal Code on noise and said they would turn the music off at 10 p.m., per the code.

March 2

Traffic Stop, 5:11 a.m., Main Street, Lyons. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Theft, 2:05 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Deputies investigated a theft from a vehicle.

Warrant, 4:20 p.m., N First Avenue/NE Wall Street, Mill City. Male, 34, of Salem was arrested on warrants out of Clatsop County Circuit Court and lodged at Linn County Jail.

Trespass, 5:41 p.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Deputies asked a neighbor to remove their vehicles from a property they didn’t have permission to park on. The neighbor agreed.

Domestic Disturbance, 6:12 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Disturbance with an intoxicated individual.

Traffic Stop, 8:21 p.m., NE Wall Street/N First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for expired tags.

March 3

Suspicious Vehicle, 12:47 p.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputy attempted to locate a suspicious vehicle.

Counter Traffic, 2:12 p.m., Jefferson-Scio Drive, Scio. Citizen reported unwanted text messages to his wife. Other party was notified and was fine with no longer contacting them.

Traffic Stop, 4:05 p.m., Lacomb Drive, Lebanon. Male, 56, of Mill City was arrested for DUII and reckless driving. He was also cited for failure to maintain lane and driving while suspended.

Motorist Assist, 5:24 p.m., Montgomery Drive, Scio. Deputies stopped to check on a vehicle on the side of the road. Driver was working on getting the truck off the roadway.

March 4

Suspicious Vehicle, 11:37 a.m., Trask Road/Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Deputies were unable to locate vehicle.

Traffic Stop, 12:29 p.m., Main and Ninth streets, Lyons. Driver warned for expired registration.

Traffic Stop, 12:42 p.m., Sixth and Front streets, Lyons. Driver cited for driving while suspended.

Warrant, 12:47 p.m., Sixth and Front streets, Lyons. Male, 57, of Lebanon was cited on a warrant.

Accident, 2:53 p.m., Kingston-Jordan Road/Valley View Drive, Scio. Non-injury crash. Drivers exchanged info and drove away.

Traffic Complaint, 3:33 p.m., SW Linn Blvd., Mill City. Deputy spoke with caller about a traffic complaint.

Suspicious Circumstance, 5:31 p.m., SE Grove Street/SE Third Avenue, Mill City. Deputies attempted to locate a suspicious vehicle.

Domestic Disturbance, 8:29 p.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Physical harassment level domestic disturbance. No one wanted to press charges. Parties separated for the night.

March 5

UEMV, 4:18 a.m., Hungry Hill Drive, Scio. Unauthorized entry of an unlocked motor vehicle. Nothing noteworthy was taken.

Traffic Stop, 8:19 a.m., SE Fifth Avenue, Scio. Driver warned for speed.

Traffic Stop, 9:22 a.m., N Main Street, Scio. Driver warned for speed.

Traffic Stop, 10:06 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver warned for speed.

Suspicious Circumstance, 11:29 a.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Report of animal carcasses in a field. The carcasses were not located.

Warrant, 11:42 a.m., NE Seventh Avenue, Mill City. Male, 47, of Mill City was arrested on a Marion County misdemeanor warrant. Male was transported and lodged at Marion County Jail without incident.

Burglary, 12:08 p.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Report of a stolen palm sander, impact wrench, AR15, Pokemon cards and wrenches from a residence.

Traffic Stop, 2:20 p.m., SW Douglas Street, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended.

March 6

Traffic Stop, 8:19 a.m., NE Wall Street/N First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Traffic Stop, 8:33 a.m., N First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Traffic Stop, 8:46 a.m., S First Avenue/SW Evergreen Street, Mill City. Driver warned for non-usage of turn signal.

Traffic Stop, 9:21 a.m., NE Wall Street/N First Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for failure to carry proof of insurance.

Motorist Assist, 9:55 a.m., Xmas Tree Road, Gates. Vehicle stuck up Monument Peak. Deputies were able to get the person in touch with a local off-road vehicle recovery group.

Traffic Stop, 11:13 a.m., N First Avenue/NW Alder Street, Mill City. Driver warned for recently expired tags.

Criminal Mischief, 11:27 a.m., Neal Park Road, Lyons. Vandals spray painted the walls of a porta-potty at the park.

Traffic Stop, 11:34 a.m., S First Avenue/SW Cedar Street, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended.

Shots Heard, noon, Dogwood Street, Lyons. Deputies contacted the person who was shooting and learned they live outside the city limits and were shooting in a safe direction into a berm.

Welfare Check, 12:17 p.m., Jefferson-Scio Drive, Scio. Deputies contacted an elderly male who was doing alright. While conducting the welfare check, a male, 67, of Scio was cited in lieu of custody for a Marion County Circuit Court warrant and an Albany Municipal Court warrant.

Traffic Stop, 9 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Male, 37, was arrested and lodged at Linn County Jail for a felony Oregon State Parole Board warrant. He was also cited into the Mill City Municipal Court on driving while suspended and failure to display plates. He was also cited into the Linn County Circuit Court on possession of <2 grams of methamphetamine.
